The abandoned ship, supposedly having retained just enough energy to hover, didn't quite live up to your definition of abandoned. You were just senselessly running, which, to be fair to yourself, was usually what any of the Doctor's plans dissolved into. It wasn't exactly a flawless plan either given how loudly your steps rained down on the inconveniantly metal floor panneling, yet you pushed through with the image of those rigidly sharp teeth. Bloody hell, there had been a lot of teeth.

We'll only be a few minutes, the Doctor had said, in and out. Now, of course, a few minutes had passed by miles, and your feet were aching.

It wasn't when the lights dimmed with a snap that you panicked, but rather when the sirens, of which you'd had no idea existed, started blaring. You almost tripped straight away, shoulders tensing and nose scrunching up in pure writhing discomfort.

As you rounded the corner, any discernable thought was knocked away by the solid force pushing you back. Before you could even press a hand to your head, the effects worsening the dizziness of the sirens, a hand shot out to grip your forearm, tugging you back up with an excessively firm hold. "Doct- "

"Where?" Came the harsh Yorkshire lilt, confusingly Doctor sounding an yet very distinctively not her tone. "Where did you see the Doctor?"

You looked across at her, form barely visible amidst the lack of light and your slightly functioning eyes. "What? I don't- what?"

"Humans," came her growl, "Disorientated so easily."

In the next moment, you were stumbling again, collapsing back against one of the TARDIS collumns. As much as they completed the console room aesthetic wise, they were uncomfortably jagged.

"Do you ever bother to listen? Run off like that again and I swear I'll- "

"Didn't run off," you interjected, volume trailing off upon lifting your head.

Different. Definitely different. Concerningly red, ominously so. Sleeker console, more expansive space, and- oh- the Doctor, maybe the Doctor, was wearing vastly different clothes. Her was definitely wavier, and there were certainly no rainbows in sight.

You almost slammed your head with the speed you backed up. "Who the hell are you?"

She peered around the console, lips pursed, one eyebrow raised. "Had a knock to the brain have we?"

"Shut up," you managed, shutting your eyes for just a moment. "What the fuck have you done with the Doct- "

Her fingers were under your chin and you and were attempting to stand up, her other hand shooting out to clutch a fistfull of your shirt before you could barely try. "Now this, this is interesting."

"What- "

Her fingers moved from your chin to your lips. "Hush now. The universe has been, to simplify it for you, acting up recently." You couldn't look away from her eyes. They were the Doctor's eyes. It was the Doctor's voice. "But I wasn't expecting this. You travel with the Doctor, which means the Doctor must look like me. Which is funny, because my human tagalong, pet, looks exactly like you."

Shoulders hunched in, form smaller, you really hoped your realisation was wrong.

"Bit more wear and tear, mind you." The smile became manic at that, lips almost brushing against your ear as she leaned in. "Mostly consensual, I promise."

You really didn't want to say her name, the worst thing being the fact you weren't sure whether it was more appealing being associated with her, or whether the idea seemed more horrific being associated with her. You couldn't entirely help it either way. "Master."

She scrunched her nose up, and yet it seemed infinitely more sinister than it should. "Perhaps I should keep you instead. The other you is fun, but not- how should I put this? Stoic. The other you is stoic, and- and I tried to send you mad, but it went the wrong way." Her grip on your shirt remained.

"Take me the fuck bac- "

The Do- the Master's hand was around your throat then, thumb pressing up against your windpipe. The splutter from your lips seemed to fuel her grip. "Much less obediant. I bet I could change that."

Your fist collided with her nose, knocking her head back to give you to stumbling chance to stand up and step away, shaking your hand by your side. It seemed to have been unexpected, though there was nowhere you could fesibly go. The TARDIS, this TARDIS, wasn't on the ship.

You pulled your phone out of you pocket as quick as what might have been humanly possible, the Doctor's contact already open, typing out something you hope at least resembled 'help'.

Of course, it was being thrown to the wall in the next moment, the Master, the Yorkshire Doctor-esque Master, pulling your back to her chest. You flinched when her nails dug into your wrist. There wasn't even any way to discern whether the sound that came out of her lips was a laugh or a growl. "Kneel."

"D'you always have to show off your fetish to everyone else?"

"Kneel," she repeated, much colder, much more commanding.

You only scoffed. "No thanks."

A gasp was drawn out when her hand had moved to yank back on your hair, embrace breaking to give her space to press the distinctive shape of the TCE into the back of your neck. "Would you like time to rethink?"

You didn't dare question her resolve, dropping down with a drudging reluctance.

"We'll almost make a good human out of you yet," she drawled, dropping her grip to wander back over to the console. "Stay there. I won't hesitate to kill you."

No, you'd gotten that impression.

What is it about love that make people do irrational thing? I had to go and fall in love with an alien and one who is so out of my league too. He’s a silly man most of the times but also, he’s the smartest man alive. He’s kind and amazing. His name is the Doctor. It wasn’t his real name but he said it’s the only name that matter. Until Clara and I met River Song, the Doctor’s wife, at least her ghost data…? Whatever that means…

River saved us when an enemy of the Doctor attacked us, demanding the Doctor to tell them his true name in order to open the Doctor’s grave. She knew his true name. Why am I surprised? If anyone know, it would be his wife.

Clara and I were best friend since childhood. She was the only friend I have actually. I was invisible as a child and Clara saw me and made me her friend. Over the years, of course, she has got better friends, but to her, I will always be her best friend. She never left me behind.

I met the Doctor when he attempted to break into the house where Clara worked. After hearing Clara’s distress voice from inside the house, I panicked too. After that, I witnessed this strange man rescued her. I was very grateful.

When the Doctor invited Clara to come along on board the Tardis, Clara agreed on the condition I can go with them too. To my surprise, he agreed immediately. I thought for sure he would not want me around. I was grateful to Clara because of her, I was able to see the wonder of the universe.

Of course, then I had to go and fell for the Doctor. He was kind and affectionate enough toward the both of us. I can’t help blushing every time he put his hands on me. Much to my embarrassment, of course, Clara noticed and teased me about it. Clara, being the good friend, she encouraged me to confess my feeling for him but I didn’t want to ruin whatever fragile friendship I have with the Doctor.

I can’t help but be jealous of Clara. She has got the Doctor’s attention almost immediately even though he met us roughly at the same time. I didn’t know it at the times that he had met her twice before. His impossible girl. Now I know why. Clara, the girl who was born to save the Doctor, splintered herself into many pieces inside the Doctor’s timeline in order to rescue him.

It was then I noticed that Clara is slowly falling for the Doctor too. And who can blame her? The Doctor was such a charmer in his own way. Clara was special to the Doctor, I can tell. After all, the Doctor owed her a life debt for all those times her echoes died for his every incarnation.

I knew then I never stood a chance to gain his interest. I was just nobody, just a tag-along. And It’s hurt, so much. I probably should have left, stop traveling with them and let whatever attraction between them become mutual. If anyone deserve to have the best in life, it would be her, Clara, my best friend.

(a fun game for anyone reading - see if you can spot which point i started fantasising about whittaker!master stepping on me)

The TARDIS was manic, each passenger shouting in turn over the screeching and the bleeping, the Doctor attempting to manouver around the console despite the violent turns and swerves. At one point, your feet definitely lifted off of the ground, knuckles turning white under the sheer pressure you were exerting onto the railing next to the stairs. At least, you assumed they were turning white, any sense of colour perception thrown off by the flashing red.

You slammed your eyes shut.

“Everyone doing okay?” The Doctor practically screamed.

Graham made a completely undecipherable remark, Ryan made a noise, and Yaz gave a quick, “Not really!”

“Y/N, what about you?”

“I’m fi- ”

Your head slammed to the floor, arm twisting to at least attempt a softer landing, bringing about a groan inducing ache in the process. Your head was panging with a certain stabbing pain, sharp and repetitive, hand clenching to push it back.

Barely opening your eyes, you let out a choked sigh of relief and the sudden lack of flashing. Still red - ominously so, actually. No noise though.

And no talking.

You rolled onto your back, very much back into a panic. Brilliant. Never any time to relax. Across from you, someone was pushing themselves up. You assumed it was the Doctor, the woman having a tendancy to get up no matter the situation - a bomb could go off and she’d take it in her stride.

The unease still remained.

It was when she stood up fully, still turned away, that the unease managed to flair into a slight fear. Of course something wasn’t right. Why would it be? Why wouldn’t you land yourself in a threatening situation. No lilac coat, but rather a fitted black blazer, maybe purple - the deep red was making it hard to tell - and much shorter hair.

You could tell it was her. Or not her necessarily, but definitely someone that looked like her; she was unmistakable even from behind, even in drastically different attire.

In an attempt to move yourself in a position to stand, you leaned on your shoulder, the sudden burst of heat drawing out a wince and a sound that sent your head spinning.

The sound of movement soon overlayed that, eyes opening to see a very different Doctor looking down on you. Her foot landed on your chest before you could even make an attempt to get up, grunt passing your lips when the heel of her boot digged in. Very different Doctor. Red tie- or purple - god, you really couldn’t tell, but it was undountedly ominous, a pocketsquare to match and a crisp white shirt, unbuttoned just slightly to almost expose her collar. Hair quiffed, flowing over to the left side, framing eyes that suddenly seemed a lot more… well, for lack of a better word, mad.

“How did you get onto my TARDIS, and what have you done to it?” The Yorkshire accent was sharp, close to resonating in a growl.

“Doctor?”

An eyebrow arched, lips quirking into a sort of gleeful anger as she pushed down further on your chest, your lack of breath bringing about a sudden round of choking coughs for air. The pressure was painfully constant. “Doctor? Has he finally ruined one of his pets into madness?”

His. Okay, okay, so either this is a past or future incarnation, which seemed incredibly unlikely, or you were somewhere else altogether. You took a glance to the TARDIS console. It seemed ever so slightly off, uncomfortably different. Much sleeker, with the red ingrained into the walls.

Please don’t be, please don’t be, please don’t-

“Master?”

Her eyes were wider, smile deeper. The change from this, however, was instant, leaving you no time to contemplate anything as she dragged you up by the collar and pushed you onto the stairs, one hand wrapping around your throat as she leaned over your sprawled form.

She seemed to look you up and down.

“The last time I saw you- ”

“I’ve never met- ”

Her thumb pressed down briefly onto your windpipe, hand clamping your mouth shut with a precise ease. That maddening grin you’d occasionally seen the Doctor wear in the face of an enemy flashed over this Do- the Master’s face. “Hush now, Daddy’s talking.”

You squirmed in her grip.

“You look different,” she said, “And you clearly don’t recognise me, but you know my name, and you crashed into my TARDIS - which,” she growled, “We will get back to. Not many people would have to guts to mistake me as the Doctor either, and if you even try that again, I promise to tear out your throat and beat your body beyond recognition.”

Her eyes were practically glazed over. You, on the other hand, were so tense it was nearly as uncomfortable as every time she increased the grip on your neck, ring digging into the flesh.

“Different universe.” She released a hand from your mouth, pushing your head haphazardly to the side to take a look. “Your pilot isn’t taking very good care of how she drives her ship.”

“I need to get ba- ”

“No no no, you don’t get it.” Her voice was still jarring, the Yorkshire accent still settling a deeper sense of discomfort in your stomach. Even some of the mannerisms of tone seemed the same. “Why would I try and let you go back, hm? What use would that be to me? What fun would that be?”

“Your own universe too small for you now, or- ”

A very swift backhand to the face and she’d interjected you with ease, the sharp sting increased by her unrelenting hold on your neck, keeping your head in place as you slumped down, curling up ever so slightly. The ring on her finger had caught your lip, the result being a slow trickle of blood down your chin.

“What the hell was that- ”

The same action was repeated, your focus suddenly on holding onto the involuntary tears glossing your vision. A very quiet swallow and you resolved to maybe shut up. You wouldn’t stop usually, questioning and insulting until the very last breath, but this was so different. You’d only shrunk back on yourself, the attention this version of the Master was paying you somehow close to making you glad the Doctor tried not to get too cosy with any of you.

Her thumb pulled down on the cut on yout bottom lip, seemingly giving her some sense of satisfaction at the visible sting it caused.

She was off you again in another instant, leaving you very much vying for breath, the tears of catharsis falling unbidden as you slumped back on the stairs, chest heaving up and down at an uneasy rate.

She only leaned back on the console, arms crossed and glare suddenly back to cold. “Stand up.”

You didn’t look to her, only debating the situation as it appeared. You should do as she said. Slapping you across the face was the least damage the Master could give you, and although ready to take that damage if needed, there was nothing at stake but your own life. Resolve weakened, you pushed yourself up to stand on what seemed like uneven ground with the unsteadiness of your own legs.

“Now kneel.”

No way. It wasn’t even just because it was the Master - she looked and sounded like the Doctor. Your mind was still flicking between the two, and, really, you didn’t need two reasons not to be able to look the Doctor in the eye - fear, and the weirdly sensual subtext that came along with kneeling. One of them you’d much prefer.

Your eyes still fixed elsewhere, she stalked up to you, ears almost pressed to your ear. “Kneel for your Master,” she practically spat.

Clenching your eyes shut for a moment, you obeyed, dropping one knee down after the other until you were situated directly in front of her feet.

“Since you’ve broken my TARDIS and taken away any form of entertainment, I think it’s only fair that I get to have some fun, don’t you?”

You didn’t take the risk of responding, not even shifting as your knees dug into the floor.

"Why are you guys wearing pant suits whilst I'm wearing a dress?" You complain with a sigh.

"You look beautiful." Graham says with a smile on his face.

"Your suppose to say that. You're like my Granddad now." Jessica says with a smirk.

"Well, you look hot." Yaz whispers into your ear causing you to blush. “Maybe you’ll get a kiss from a certain blonde.” She then whispers.

"Shut up and stop being annoying." You slap Yaz on the arm with a smile.

"Shall we?" The Doctor says as you all smooth out your outfits.

You link arms with Yaz as Ryan and O follow behind as you all make their way to the main entrance. You notices the other women are wearing dresses as well but that doesn't stop your heart from beating any faster than it already is.

Your eyes dart over the house in front of you. The house is gigantic, you looks is awe at the garden as well. Yaz lets out a laugh as she notices your reaction. Just before Yaz can say anything you arrive at the desk part of the house where the guests are.

"The name's Doctor. The Doctor." The Doctor says with a smile. "We're on the list." She then says.

"Welcome. Go right on in. Thanks for coming." The lady with the tablet says with a smile on her face.

"Is this a bad time to mention, I've never really done undercover work?" O says with hint of fear in his voice as they enter the house.

"You said you worked for MI6!" Ryan exclaims.

"As an analyst. In the office." O says causing you to giggle.

"It's a party. We're guests. Blend in." The Doctor informs them all. "And keep an eye out for Daniel Barton." She then demands.

Yaz pulls you and O with her towards another. The trio look at the different games to play, then Yaz finds one and you all make your way towards. You stands next to Yaz, who has a smirk on her face

“So how long have you had a crush on the Doctor?” O whispers causing you look at him in surprise whilst Yaz let’s out a laugh at your reaction.

“I-I don’t have a crush on her.” You respond with red cheeks.

“Trust me. I know when people are either in love or to blind to see that the other person loves them back.” O smirks at you.

“Th-the Doctor doesn’t love me back.” You stutter.

“She does.” Yaz replies.

“Shut up and get on with the game.” You tell the two with red cheeks.

Smiling, you watches as the people around you have a good time. I mean, you would play but you don’t actually know how to play. She's stuck watching everyone play.

"What? Did we win?" Yaz asks pulling your attention back to the game.

"No." O responds.

"Didn't know what I was doing anyway." Yaz says with confidence.

"Oh, you know what they say lucky at dice, unlucky in love." O says causing you to look at him in fear.

"Do they say that?" Yaz asks.

"No." O replies calming you down.

Just before Yaz could response, a door opens and Yaz looks up. She sees Daniel Barton coming towards the table where they are. Daniel nods his head at Yaz who looks at him with a small smile. You and O follow his movements just as the Doctor comes up.

"Time for a chat." The Doctor says as she follows him out into the garden.

Yaz, you and O watch as the Doctor goes out the door. The three of you then make your way to find Ryan and Graham who are playing a casino dice game.

"She's found him." You tells the two.

The two men stand up and look around for the Doctor, they don't see her but follow the three of you towards the back where the Doctor is.

"Barton's heading your way, gang. Keep an eye on him. Don't let him out of your sight." The Doctor says through her phone.

Rushing towards the back door they see the Doctor coming in but not Barton. You look around in confusion as to how a man can just disappear like that.

"None of you saw him come back in?" The Doctor asks the five of you. "He must be here somewhere." The Doctor then says they all walk towards the main entrance.

"There he is!" Yaz points him out.

"Oh, no, you don't!" The Doctor says as they begin running towards the entrance.

"He's off!" Graham says.

"I mean, who leaves their own birthday party? He's definitely guilty." Ryan points out.

"So what do we do now?"

"Remember our trip to the Great Kalisperon Bike-Off?" The Doctor asks them.

Groaning, you sit behind the Doctor as you take off on the motorbikes. Holding tightly onto the Doctor's waist, you then notice the car just up head from them. The Doctor looks at the car with wide eyes as she notices Barton with gun.

Letting out a shriek, you ducks your head when you hear the gun go off. Your arms tighten around the Doctor as you hears the gun go off once more.

You then cut through a maze of orchard of some sorts. You watch through the leaves as they drive next to the car. Barton then shoots them again causing you to scream.

You then follow him up the dusty path towards his destination. Once there you note that it's an airport, causing you to look at the others with confusion. Your cheeks go red once you realised what you’ve just done causing to quickly unwrap your arms from around the Doctor’s waist.

"What now?" Yaz asks the Doctor.

You all get off of the bikes and put the helmets on top of the bikes handles. Then you make your way towards the door to that you saw Barton go through.

"She ready to go?" You hear the voice of Barton ask.

"All secure, Mr Barton." A man responds.

"How many planes does one guy need?" Ryan asks as they quietly run to one plane to hide.

"There he is." The Doctor whispers as she notices Barton walking towards a plane and she makes a run to another plane.

"That's one big plane." Ryan says as he looks at the plane.

"Where's he going in that?" Yaz asks the Doctor.

"I don't know, but we can't let him get away." The Doctor says.

"How? It's not as if we're gonna just jump on a plane with him, is it?" Graham asks causing the Doctor to smile. "Aww, come on!" He groans.

Running after the Doctor, you are so thankful she went to the party in flats instead of heels. Your eyes fall upon the Doctor, who uses her sonic to open the hatch of the bottom of the plane.

Seeing the Doctor lifting herself up and onto the plane causes you to run faster. Your feet ache from how fast you is running, you notices Ryan and Yaz getting on then Graham.

"Come on, kiddo." Graham shouts to you causing you to jump onto the plane next.

The Doctor helps Graham, Yaz and Ryan with pulling you up. Next the Doctor and Ryan help O into the plane, you stand up next O and Yaz.

"Come on, Doctor. We're about to take off." Ryan shouts to the Doctor.

"In the main cabin!" The Doctor orders.

Using her sonic, she closes the hatch and makes her way to the main cabin. You use one of the chairs to lean on as you catches you breath.

"What are we actually going to do?" Yaz questions the Doctor.

"Sit tight. See where he's going." The Doctor tells them all. "Never been good at sprinting?" She asks O.

"I was the last one in every race at school." O replies.

"No, no, no." The Doctor argues. "I read your file. You were a champion sprinter." She tells him.

"Mmm." O smirks. "Got me. Well done." He then says.

You looks at O with confusion, she then looks at the Doctor who is wearing the same expression. Yaz stands protectively in front of you, placing an arm in front of you. As he turns around and gives you smirk. The others also looks at him with confusion.

"What's going on, Doc?" Graham asks the Doctor.

"I don't know." She responds just as equally confused as everyone else.

"You'd best take a look out of the window." O tells you all causing you to move to the window and gasp.

"How's your house out there?" Graham asks him.

"A little bit Wicked Witch of the West, but you get the gist. Maybe. Maybe not." O says.

"No." The Doctor whispers.

"Oh, come on, Doctor, catch up. You can do it." O taunts the Doctor.

"Ohh!" The Doctor realises.

"That's that's my name, and that is why I chose it. So satisfying." O responds. "Doctor, I did say look for the spymaster. Or should I say spy Master?" O says. "Hi." He smirks.

"Who?" You mumbles under your breath.

"You can't be." The Doctor glares.

"Oh, I can be. I very much am." His smirk grows further. “And you shouldn’t have spilt your secret back at the house, Y/N. Because I’m gonna end up doing something soon that involves YOU.” He adds.

This cause you and Yaz to look at each other with fear whilst the Doctor looks at you with confusion. You then shrink into the seat you’re in once you notice his smirk growing when he sees the Doctor looking at you.

"So what's going on, then? He's not really O?" Ryan asks the Doctor.

"I'm her best enemy." He tells the others as he walks towards them. "Call me Master." He introduces them.

"Call you what?" Graham asks.

""Master"?" Ryan mutters also confused.

"I ain't calling you anything, mate." You snap as you watch him closely.

"Me and her, we go way, way, way back." The 'Master' informs the others.

You watches as the Doctor's face goes pale as the realisation of who he was. By the looks of the Doctor's face, you know that whoever he is not anyone you wants to mess with. The Doctor looks at the Master with fear in her eyes.

"I met O!" The Doctor exclaims.

"I know." The Master responds.

"Years ago." She says.

"I know!" He laughs.

"But there was an O at MI6." Ryan says. "C was talking about him." He adds.

"Yeah. A man very close to my heart. Well, in my pocket, actually. Do you want to see him? It's always good to keep a backup of one's work. Tissue compression, it's a classic. Oh Ambushed him on his way to work for his first day. Shrunk him, took his identity and set myself up in MI6." The Master smirks. "Surprisingly good staff canteen. I have had a lot of fun." He adds.

"I need to warn Barton!" The Doctor yells running to the cockpit. "He's not here! Where's Barton? What have you done to him?" She asks O.

"Barton!" The Master exclaims as he tries to move out of the way do the Doctor's companions.

"Who's flying the plane?" Graham asks the Doctor.

"Wrong question. Check the seat." The Master says as he watches you closely waiting for the perfect time. "Cockpit bomb. Short fuse. I can relate to that! Now, do you really think that I would not make that sonic-proof, Doctor?!,Come on! Deadlock sealed." The Master yells as the Doctor uses her sonic to try and defuse it. "And I made sure no parachutes on board." He tells you all.

"There must be a way!" The Doctor yells at the Master.

"But where's Barton?" Yaz questions him.

"We saw him coming in." Ryan says to the Master.

"Called away before takeoff. By me! Stick with me, Yaz, Y/N, 'cos I control everything." The Master tells you and Yaz. "Even these guys." He points to the creatures they've all seen.

"I can't do it! Get away!" The Doctor yells.

You watch as the Doctor comes running out from the cockpit. The Doctor uses her body to shield the explosion. However, that did not work out.

You grabs a hold of one of the chairs next to you and let out a scream of surprise as you sees the cockpit explode. You hold onto the chair for your dear life. But the Master grabs you from the waist and traps you.

"One last thing." The Master begins. "Something you should know in the seconds before you die Everything that you think you know is a lie. Got you finally. And good luck with finding this one. The one you’re deeply in love with." He finishes.

The creatures rush forwards towards the Doctor just as the Master disappears with you along with him. Yaz yells out the Doctor's name as well as your name.

“It’s very rare I like one of your ’companions’.”

“Like? You kidnapped- ”

“Didn’t kill,” the Master interjected, practically growling, his arm raised. “Your human friend- pet is safe.”

The Doctor scoffed.

You stared at the screen of your phone, pulling up the Doctor’s contact. It had been an extremely unceremonious kidnapping, nothing dramatic or restraining, simply an order to stay in one end of the room. You supposed it didn’t matter. You wouldn’t be able to get out regardless, and your specific ‘job’ was presumably to draw in the Doctor. Therefore, he’d likely want her there sooner rather than later.

You leaned your head back against the wall and started typing.

'Not to alarm you.’ The others were definitely going to pick up on that later.They always took the opportunity to chastise you for your inapproptiate response to any given situation. The Doctor was baffled by it. A coping mechanism, it was a coping mechanism. You’d overwealm worry with a slight indifference and a slight giddiness. What it was was dangerous, though it was comforting, and, really, as long as you weren’t terrified out of your mind, you considered it a win.

“What are you doing?”

Shit.

“Texting,” you said, “If you keep me here any bloody longer without doing anything, I’m gonna need someone to water my plants.” You didn’t dare look up at him.

The Master grabbed the phone out of your hand, looking at the screen for a mere moment before tossing it against the wall, staring directly at you as it landed.

“I needed a new phone anyway,” you said quietly, “Screens broken, drop it all the time. Really- ”

He dragged you to your feet by clutching fistfulls of your shirt, face uncomfortably close. “Shut up.”

You probably should. Rambling wasn’t going to get you anywhere.

His jaw was clenched, voice toned down in warning. “Do you understand where you are? Would you like me to enlighten you?” It was close to a growl.

“I’ve been unable to do anything but look at where I am for what feels like forever.”

His lips curved into a smile, a disconcerting smile, and you weren’t entirely sure whether or not he was just taunting you. “You’re unbarably brave,” he practically spat.

“Brave in the face of what? All you’ve done is sort of laugh and pace around.”

“Is that an invitation to show you?”

“Obviously not.”

He laughed in your face.

“That’d be stupid.”

“Do you think I’m lying, Doctor?”

She took a moment, gaze entirely fixed on him, lips pursed in frustration. “No. But you liking anyone, let alone a human, is something that’d practically never happen, let alone something that you’d admit to. And generally, you’d kill them regardless.”

“I’m not the one who denies things.”

“You don’t like Y/N, you’ve gotten a fixation on one of the only people not outwardly scared of you.” It came out through gritted teeth, her fists balled by her sides.

“Is someone jealous, Doctor?”

“Leave.”

“What did he say to you?”

You stopped in your tracks, turning away from the door to see the Doctor focusing entirely on the console. You were convinced she was just pushing useless buttons. “What?”

“The Master. What did he say to you?”

“Didn’t really say anything.” You shoved your hands into your pockets and leaned against one of the TARDIS columns. “Broke my phone, told me to shut up, and insulted me a bit, but it felt- I don’t know, it didn’t feel normal, I guess.”

“Normal?” The Doctor peeked up, eyebrow arched.

“Well, normal as in usual for, like, any other situation we’ve been in that’s similar. I thought he was going to do something to begin with, and then nothing happened.” You shrugged, not entirely sure what to make of it yourself. “It just felt like a vaguely threatening conversation.”

The Doctor looked back down to the console again, one hand gripping the moniter. “I think- I mean, you should probably stay on board for a bit, just to make sure you’re completely safe.” She licked her lips. “If that’s okay, obviously,” she added.

As if you’d ever turn that down. “Yeah, okay.”

“Good. Alright, uh, you’ve got stuff on board, but if you want, we can take a quick trip to- ”

“I’m just gonna go lie down for a bit if that’s okay, maybe watch a movie. You’re welcome to join.”

“Yeah, no, sounds great. I’ll be there, just have to sort out some stuff.” She gestured vaguely to god knows where.

Stuff. Sometimes, you weren’t sure how the Doctor came up with the quick witted solutions she did. “Got any movie preferences?”

“Oh, I’ve got a list actually.”

You couldn’t help but smile at that.

“I’m fairly sure it’s in the kitchen. Maybe. Could be the library.”

She still wouldn’t look up, though you left the matter for another time, wandering off to see what ridiculous selection of films she had written down.

If you had seen the look she’d given you as you left, you’d likely have been unable to move. It would have taken consideranly longer to get to that movie, too.

It had been a long day, the Doctor knew that. A lot of running always meant an adrenaline crash, especially for humans, and she’d been the one to encourage everyone straight to bed. But when you’d gotten up, sitting crossed legged next to the spot she was working, still fully clothed, she hadn’t even tried to suggest you head back to your room. You always had seemed to be up for her rambling, meeting it with smiles and laughs that made your eyes crinkle. And, she had to admit, her hearts warmed at the fact you felt comfortable enough to simply join her company.

She lifted up her goggles, giving you a small nod. “Everything okay?” She asked.

“Yeah, still sort of buzzing though.”

She placed her sonic down and shifted so she was sitting directly in front of you. Without asking, she’d grabbed your wrist, placing two fingers directly over the pulse point. She even felt it as you shivered. “High adrenaline rate. Gotta wait this one out.”

The Doctor practically brushed her fingers along your skin as she removed them.

“You generally have a very healthy resting heart rate, though. It’s impressive.”

Your nose scrunched up at that. “Thanks.”

“You know, average human blood pressure is actually very different to most other species in the universe. Mine’s very high, and that- ”

She practically jumped when your phone starting ringing, eyes wider than usual as she watched you grab it out of your pocket with a mumbled apology. “Usually on, uh, silent, but with all the travelling and everything…” You pressed it to your ear, only tilting your head to the side for privacy.

She shifted in her spot.

“Oh, hey!”

The Doctor couldn’t help but watch the smile rise on your face. “Didn’t wake you did I?” She managed to hear.

“No, no, I was already up.” You quite visibly straightened up. “How are you? Haven’t seen you in ages.”

She, on the other hand, clutched the fabric of her trousers.

“I’d love to. Yeah, yeah. No, go to bed! Yeah, see you later. Love you too.”

Oh, oh she didn’t like that.

Once you had left the phone to the side, she’d plastered a strangely fake smile onto her face. There was no reason to fake a smile. No logical reason at all. “Anyone special?”

“Good friend.”

You never said 'love you’ at the end of any of her calls. She wanted you to. She wanted you to. Well, that certainly wasn’t good. She swiped her tongue over her bottom lip, suddenly very conscious of your proximity. “Still not tired?”

“No, not re- ”

“Good!” She exclaimed, pulling you up by the hand. “There’s this really nice planet I think you’d love.”

“Are you not repairing the TARDIS?”

She almost misheard, chest particularly warmed by your hand in her own. She’d grabbed everyone’s hand many times, including yours, yet this felt so very different. “Just a few ajustments, she’ll be fine.”

“What about the othe- ”

“Oh, they’ll be fine, very peaceful planet this,” she interjected, still clutching your hand as she moved to the console, “Very beautiful too. We can have a quick run if you like, get rid of that energy.”

You squeezed her hand and pulled her back just a little, eyebrow almost amusedly raised. “Doctor?”

She scrunched her nose up. “Yeah?”

“Everything okay?”

“Totally. Planet then?”

Fireworks (13 x Reader)

A/N: not one your requests. I AM genuinely sorry I haven't posted in so long and I am trying to get back to writing and to get to those requests of yours but inspiration has been very low. As a small apology pls enjoy this lil thing based on a dream I had

Summary: You take a stroll through the city until you come across a bridge that is glowing in bright colours. You decide to go up it and take a look at the city at large. A firework starts

You and the Doctor had been aimlessly strolling through New York for quite a while now, just taking in the sights around you; exploring until the sun had already set and you were beginning to appreciate the thick winter coat you had thought to bring, because the light breeze from earlier had turned into a strong frosty wind.

Your right hand was being warmed by the Doctor's. You had initially grabbed it to try and get the Doctor to walk a little bit slower as your feet had started to feel tired. Normally you wouldn’t have done anything this bold, because you were too shy about your crush for the Doctor. You didn't want her to know just in case she didn't feel the same and be weirded out by it or suddenly feel uncomfortable in your company. Losing her just wasn’t something you thought you could ever bear.

Her reaction, however, had only consisted of a grin and a light squeeze of your hand before she turned her eyes back to what was in front of you and adjusted her pace to leisurely walk beside you. You weren't exactly sure what to make of that, but thought it was better to just go with it and silently bask in the contact of her bare skin on yours, lest you do anything to make her pull away.

It wasn't until a few minutes later that you spoke to her again to point out a bridge to your right that seemed to glow in every imaginable colour. The shine made it look soft and you felt inexplicably drawn to it so you decided to take the lead and steer the Doctor in it’s direction. At this her face scrunched up in the way that you found incredibly adorable. It was a clear sign of her surprise over your sudden desire to lead the way, especially since you had been quite happy just following her around the whole day, listening to all the little stories she would tell. You didn't hear any actual complaints from her though and so only continued to pull her by her hand towards the beautiful piece of architecture.

It seemed like you weren't the only people who were attracted by the bridge. It was so busy that the Doctor got pushed right into your side and you had to get close to the railing to escape the worst masses of elbows; those things were surprisingly pointy. You hear the Doctor gasp and immediately turn towards her, fearing that she might have gotten hurt, but her gaze was fixed on the sight in front of her. The view from the Bridge was breathtaking on it's own but the lights illuminated everything, smoothing over all the harsh edges of the surrounding buildings.

Next to you a kid excitedly asked it's mother: “Mummy, when will the fiwewowk stawt?”. You didn't hear her answer as it was drowned out by the loud bang of the first firework. The Doctor started to giggle in glee. “Brilliant, I love firework shows!”. You answered that with a laugh, not seeing a single difference between the Doc, whose eyes have lit up, and the little kid that started jumping up and down, mouth wide open and hands sheltering his ears.

You looked back up at the beautiful alien next to you and watched as she traced one of the rockets with her finger, plopping it exactly as it exploded. It was probably the sweetest thing you had ever seen and you couldn’t help the love that you had for her to fill you to the brim. Making it extremely easy for anyone who looked at you to guess your exact feelings.

A little soft sigh escaped your lips and drew the Doctor’s attention to you. Her expression of pure joy making it impossible for you to turn away. Instead you just kept staring at her, blushing when she too, didn’t look away. Slowly, both of your heads moved closer together careful not to move to fast and break the spell that seemed to have captivated the two of you.

Up close you could see every single detail of her irises, the green with dots of hazel and the darker ring around her pupil. Your heart was beating erratically, your brain was buzzing and you were surprised that you could even take in these little things given the state you were in. Breathing suddenly seemed extremely overrated and by now the Doctor’s mouth was so close to yours that she was more or less breathing for the both of you. “Alright?”, you heard her whisper, voice deeper than you’d ever heard it. Closing your eyes you nodded and then it happened.

Warm lips sealed themselves over yours. You heard a sigh, but weren’t sure if it came from your mouth or hers, not that it mattered anyway. A warmth spread itself through your whole body and your knees wobbled slightly until you felt surprisingly strong hands steady you, gripping your waist and pressing you lightly into the railing. Your own hands buried themselves in the Timelady’s hair and neither of you wanted this moment to ever end.

Hi! So this is really short, my apologies. I’m trying to get back into the mindset and characterizations of these drabbles/one shots. But I hope you like it!

As you made your way back to the TARDIS, you started to prepare yourself for the reprimanding you were sure to get from the Doctor. And to be fair, you would deserve it.

You did exactly what you were told not to, you went behind enemy lines. You could’ve—and almost did—died. Your wounds looked worse than they actually were so that definitely wouldn’t help your case.

When you opened the TARDIS door, you heard Yaz sigh in relief. “Doc, she’s back!”

You saw the Doctor’s head pop up from behind the center console. A sheepish smile formed across your lips. She walked around and came to stand in front of you.

“Listen I know I did what you said not to but I did—“

You had been looking at your feet before she lifted your face and crushed her lips against yours. She grabbed your shirt and the back of your neck and held on for dear life. She pulled back, a small smile playing at her lips before she frowned. “Maybe next time listen when I say ‘don’t go into enemy territory’. You could’ve been killed!”

“I know. I’m sorry,” you said honestly. You held up a small device. “But I got it.”

She stared at the item they had been chasing for days now. She scoffed in disbelief. “I hate you.”

“Mmhmm.” You pulled her in for another kiss.

“I’m glad you’re okay.”

You know that kind of days where no matter how hard you try the universe seems to be against you? You woke up early in the morning to go to work, exited knowing that after that you’ll see the doctor after two weeks. Work wasn’t the most existing thing you could do, but money was money, especially taking into consideration how next year you were finally going to move out to go to college.

The thing is, working at any job is hard, especially when you have to work with people who have no regard for your time. Working as a Barista was definitely something that people do not appreciate as much as they should. clients tend to be assholes many times, but normally you could handle it. Today, however, you couldn’t. Things started from the bottom and till the end your mood seemed to get worse by the second. It all started with some coffee spilled on your white t-shirt and from there things only got worse.

You worked throughout the day some how hopefully, knowing that you would see the doctor today, but even that hope started being infested by the oh so crappy day. The ending of your shift seemed to never come and as the clock ticked till the moment you could finally leave your body and mind became more exhausted.

You could feel how your body was aching from the extra cleaning job you had to do today do to some rather clumsy clients. You could feel your head starting to ache as well as how the sounds around you seemed to get louder by the second hurting your head. Finally a bell ringing way too loud distracted you from your train of thought. Change of shift. You put all your things in order before leaving the cafe. You would normally be jumping around from your shift ending, but today your body wasn’t feeling up to it.

The sound of the TARDIS fills your mind and you see the blue box start materialising Infront of you. You smile a little more to yourself that to anyone else. You push open the doors and enter the TARDIS. You are surprised to see inside only the Doctor.

“Y/N!” The doctor comes jumping towards you. Before she hugged you as usual you notice that she looks at your shirt.

“oh! Right! I forgot about that” you say as you look down to see the coffee stain in your t-shirt. You give a little smile to the doctor that somehow turns into a little tear forming in your eye. The Doctor hugs you, not really saying anything, but just letting the hug speak for itself, slowly calming you down. The beat of both her hearts calms you down bit by beat, and her warmth brings you comfort.

You let go of the hug, “Whatever you need, you know you have me” the Doctor stats with a cute small smile on her face

I can’t lie, I had a ton of fun writing this. Enjoy! 💋

You had been bored. That was how it had started.

To be quite fair, it wasn’t very often that you were ever bored — not on a normal day, anyhow. On a normal day, boredom was entirely out of the question. There was always plenty of excitement to go around, even traveling with a group of five people. However, it was also very, extremely fair to say that having excitement at the ready on such a regular basis made the boring days, when they came around, especially boring.

The Doctor had been tinkering at the console all morning, looking for a suitably exciting destination for the five of you and, for once, not coming up with much. Graham had been off in his own world, reading a book. Ryan and Yaz had spent upwards of an hour discussing a variety of mundane things that had happened to them years ago, when they had been in school together.

And you — you had been twiddling your thumbs, looking for something, anything to entertain yourself with. The Doctor had been as busy as ever, typically and indefinitely unable to sit still, so your go-to method of entertainment — asking her to distract you with an interesting story about one of her hundreds of thousands of adventures — had been out of the question. You had quickly grown tired of your predicament after a short time though, obviously, and you hadn’t much felt up to a stroll about the TARDIS (which was typically plan B). What you wanted was The Doctor, and so you had developed a brand-new plan, a Plan C, and taken it upon yourself to distract her from whatever it was she was doing, no matter how much prodding it took.

You hadn’t gotten very far.

It wasn’t for lack of trying — not really. What it had come down to was poor timing and a lack of real opportunity to try.

“Brilliant!” The Doctor had exclaimed, just as you had crept up behind her with perfect stealth, and hands perfectly poised for a good tickle.

She had whirled around to face you and you had straightened up, tucking your hands behind your back and actively pretending that you had never been plotting anything at all. Her smile had been as bright as ever as she had taken a step toward you, placing both of her hands on your shoulders and giving them a gentle, but excited shake. “The Venusian Springs! Home of the Sunless Ocean and the Gems of Rhea,” she had announced, and then turned away from you and toward the rest of the group, whose attention had also been drawn by her outburst. “That’s where we’ll go.”

As absurd as it had been, you had been just a little disappointed. Not in the destination, but at the lack of an opportunity to (gently) pester The Doctor into spending time with you — only with you. You loved Ryan and Yaz and Graham with every ounce of yourself, of course, but it was difficult to find windows of opportunity for quality time with The Doctor when there was a whole group of you.

“Brilliant,” you had muttered, and tried not to pout when The Doctor had looked your way again. It hadn’t been intentional, not entirely, when you had broken eye contact and stepped just out of her reach when she had come back toward you with her hand outstretched for yours. The soft, displeased noise that she had made had been the only thing to clue you in, and when you had looked up, she had been the one pouting.

The Doctor was pouting. A genuine pout.

You had blinked, taken aback. The moment hadn’t lasted long, and soon enough she’d been smiling again and the conversation had proceeded as usual. It had stuck with you, though, that pout, and as the others had chatted amongst themselves, talking about having a swim in some alien springs and asking what the title “sunless ocean” actually meant, you had gone back to plotting.

Perhaps you could still do a bit of prodding. Be a bit of a tease. Just… in a slightly different fashion. The thought had lit up a spark of excitement inside of you, and you had positively run away with the idea — maybe a little too enthusiastically.

Throughout the day’s trip across the springs, you had carefully and calculatedly pulled away from The Doctor. Not coldly (never coldly), but with just enough of an air of indifference that by the third or fourth occurrence, The Doctor was looking absolutely miserable.

Well, miserable probably wasn’t the best word; moody might have been a better fit. Snappy might have even been appropriate, and that was just plain out of character for your always-cheerful partner. The Doctor, at any given time, shined like the sun. Today, she was looking a bit more like a walking thundercloud.

“Are the pair of you having some sort of lovers’ quarrel?” Graham had asked you, after you had shrugged The Doctor’s arm from around your shoulders in favor of wandering away, suddenly very interested in some odd plant life nearby (and she had stomped away, grumbling).

“You could call it that,” you had said simply, grinning, and leaving Graham with a look of rumpled confusion on his face.

It was about the time that the five of you arrived at the Sunless Ocean The Doctor had mentioned that it all came to a boil. She had reached for your hand (again, with that trademark stubborn determination), and you had allowed it for a moment before you had pulled away once more, stifling a smile.

“Back in a mo, gang,” you said, doing your best to sound a bit bored. “S’been a long walk and I think I see a shack a bit down the beach. M’gonna go see if it’s a snack bar.”

Graham had smiled and nodded your way, Ryan had asked you to get him a packet of crisps if they had any, and Yaz had barely acknowledged you, too busy looking out over the dark, glimmering waters of the ocean to care much about your snack run.

With that, you turned on your heel and made for the aforementioned shack, grinning the whole way.

And, just as you’d predicted, The Doctor was hot on your trail, murmuring something or other about a biscuit sounding like a fantastic idea.

She was silent for the majority of the walk, and you chose not to acknowledge the tension in that silence — not until you were out of earshot of the others, at least. It wasn’t until the pair of you actually arrived at the little (obviously abandoned) shack that she said anything at all, and when she did finally speak up, you could hear the moody apprehension in her voice.

“Y/N,” she said, in a way that was clearly careful, but gave away her irritation nonetheless. “tell me what’s going on.”

It wasn’t a question. You smiled privately, kicking at the sand beneath your feet a bit as you stopped walking.

“A snack run?” you said, trying for innocence. The attempt wasn’t entirely successful, though, because the look on The Doctor’s face, the angry pout, was far too wonderful. You couldn’t help but snicker.

“That’s some bloody nonsense, Y/N,” she began, pointing an accusatory finger at you. “You’ve hardly looked at me all day, and I haven’t— I don’t— why are you laughing?!”

“Because you’re positively adorable when you’re this moody,” you admitted, dropping the facade, finally. “And all because of a bit of payback.”

She looked flabbergasted, with her mouth half open and her arms hanging in midair, where she’d been talking animatedly with them moments ago.

“Payback,” she said, deadpan.

“Payback,” you repeated, smiling sweetly. “You get a little distracted sometimes, love. Seems you forget I’m around sometimes, and, well,” you paused, watching intently as she took it all in. “I thought you might like to know what that’s like.”

It didn’t look like she liked it at all. Not one bit. The look of confusion on her face shifted, first to a slightly more aggravated confusion, and then into an odd hybrid of emotion that seemed to be equal parts annoyance and spite, with just a dash of fondness — if anyone had asked you, anyways.

“You little menace,” she grumbled, gritting her teeth a bit. She looked at you with hazel eyes aflame, and it made your heart race in your chest as you stood there, smiling still.

Before you could formulate a response she was in your space, backing you against the little shack that the pair of you had come to explore (although, for your money, you’d have bet that The Doctor had known all along that it was abandoned). You inhaled sharply as she pinned you there with her hands on either side of your head, and you reached out to grip her bright yellow braces tightly just in time for her lips to touch yours.

Well — touch could perhaps have been the wrong word. It was too simple, too soft. Crash into was more fitting.

She kissed you hard, with a fire that wasn’t all too common in the kisses that you shared daily, in settings as normal as this. Her hands shifted from their places on the wall of the shack to one side of your head and one of your hips, respectively, and you responded by gripping her waist rather than her braces and dragging her in close to you. It was a kiss that ran the breath out of you quickly, but that you weren’t willing to give up so quickly for something as mundane as oxygen. It wasn’t until she threaded her fingers into your hair that you gave a soft gasp and withdrew for a breath, leaving her to nuzzle along the opposite side of your jaw, laughing softly. She knew you like the back of her own hand, truly.

“You’re lucky I like you,” she said, soft, and ran a hand through your hair before pulling you in close to her — this time, for a cuddle. You laughed softly, red-cheeked and out of breath, and rested your head against her shoulder.

“I don’t know, it seems to me I should deprive you more often. You get pleasantly forward with me,” you mused, and giggled when she responded to the suggestion by giving you a tight squeeze.

“Don’t you dare,” she grumbled, and kissed the top of your head.

You spent a moment that way, enjoying her arms around you and the sweet smell of her skin before you reluctantly straightened up and pulled away, smiling at her apologetically.

“We should get back, before those lot start to think something terrible has happened to us,” you suggest, and she nods her head.

“Let’s be off, then,” she says, taking you by the hand and leading you back the way you had come. You hold onto her hand tightly, this time around, and she walks proudly at your side.

It’s all worth it, in the end. Even the looks of complete and utter bewilderment you get from Yaz, Ryan, and Graham when you return, hand-in-hand and grinning like a couple of loved-up fools, are tolerable, because The Doctor doesn’t leave your side for the rest of the trip.

The worst feeling - 13th Doctor x Reader

Summary: The Doctor has to go through the worst feeling possible. This time it might actually break her.

Notes: Pure angst.

She couldn’t quite pin point where it all went wrong. Your hand was I hers and you were right behind her, and then you weren’t.

It started when she felt your fingers slip through hers and she whipped her head around to see what had happened, not quite able to stop right away with how fast she was running.

Your hand was still outstretched to her as you tripped and fell to the ground, a sound she never wanted to ever hear aimed at you echoing after the shot.

Pain. You were in pain.

The Doctor managed to get her footing as she spun around and ran for you. She became the master at dodging bullets while you were her only focus. She was unstoppable.

You were still conscious, that was good. She cradled you in her arms and spun around quickly, but not too fast to cause you unnecessary pain. She never wanted to be the person who hurt you.

The Doctor ran straight for the TARDIS, not even looking back to see how much distance was between them and the enemy.

Stars

A/N: it has been a hell of a week (or two), but I am back. Sorry For the delay, hope you like it. I’ll post other requests and fics soon.

Pairing: 13 x reader

Description: Request “ Number 17 w the thirteenth doctor? (Taller s/o por favor) ♡”

Prompt:  height difference kisses where one person has to bend down and the other is on their tippy toes

Warnings: none

Vacations inside the TARDIS, because every time team TARDIS tried to have a nice vacation somewhere it always ended in a “run for your life” adventure. Honestly, you loved the adrenaline that came from being with the Doctor, but from time to time you did wish you could have some time to relax.  

So now, there you where inside TARDIS that never seemed to end. You could walk for hours and hours inside it, and still always find something new in there. You walk along the hallways looking around, plugged into your music and letting your hand slide along the walls. The thing about the TARDIS is that she knew where you needed to be. You do not pay much attention as you walk along the hallways, because you know your destiny has already been settled. 

You find yourself in the library of the TARDIS. Even though you had been here many times you could still find something new in there. In the end, it was always a fun adventure since the TARDIS always seemed to give you exactly the book you needed, or sometimes just the book you wanted. As you walk down the hallway looking at different books you wonder why the TARDIS took you here. You look at the books, some you can understand, some you cannot. Some are in Latin or Greek, some are in languages you can only assume are alien.

“This legs definitely used to be longer” You hear a voice some shelves away to the left. You walk towards the voice to find the small blond woman on her tiptoes trying to reach for something at the top shelf.

“need help?” you chuckle to the sight of your girlfriend trying so hard to reach something.

“Please?” she smiles at you. You go to where she is to find what she is reachings for. You easily grab it. A, what seems to be glass, sphere with a golden ring in the middle. You look at it in wonder.

“What is it?” you ask in wonder

“A map” The blonde answers as you give her the sphere. She moves something in it and the room fills with stars “it gives you the stars of the whole universe, to find your way home, but for me, it just became a memory of who I once was.” 

​“What do you mean?”

“Well, The TARDIS takes me anywhere, I don’t really need this. So I changed the map, so it shows me the stars at my home planet”

“It is really beautiful” You look up in wonder

“Yeah”

“But you know what is even more beautiful?” say looking back at your girlfriend “Me” you can see how she rolls her eyes a little but a small laugh leaves her lips.  “I’m kidding” You laugh, she turns around and you look at each other. “I love you”

You place your hand on her waist and bend down a little to place your forehead on hers. You both close your eyes just enjoying the moment. She moves a little and even if you do not see it you know she places herself on her tiptoes. She places her arms on your shoulders and even jumps a little to crash her lips into yours. You wrap your arms around her waist and lift her a little, till you finally break the kiss she looks into your eyes. 

“and I love you”

Most of the people you met on your adventures tended to be quite nice, and usually follow along when their lives were put on the line. It was always important in certain situations that no matter who you were, you were worked together to see the next day. This helped you make friends when you travelled through time or met friendly aliens on another planet.

Sometimes you met leaders of groups who liked to think they knew better than the Doctor. If given the choice, you would pick your quirky blonde Doctor any day of the week. No matter who thought they were in charge.

The Doctor trusted you. She knew you would depend on her if you needed her. It’s one of the things she adored about you. You were always smiling at her and laughing with her. You were always by her side when she needed you and you stood your ground when you didn’t like how things were turning out.

This current group you had come across seemed like such a nice group, they just wanted help and the Doctor was right there to give it. It hadn’t gone past her notice that the leader had been looking at you since you both arrived.

You’re crying - Doctor Who

Nine

He hears you trying to hold back your tears with all your sniffling, but as much as he hates to see you cry, he hates you trying to hold it in even more. He will come to your side and try to soothe you by talking to you. He’s really sweet in these moments and always gets you to smile at the end of it.

Ten

Hugs. He would hug you close to him and whisper in your ear. He’s upset when you’re upset. However long you want to stand there in his arms, he won’t mind. Just as long as you’re smiling in the end, it’s alright with him.

Eleven

Is also sad you’re sad. Would go for hand holding and comforting words. Will show you some stars and sit with you while you let it out, won’t push you to tell him anything, but know he’ll be there listen of you need him.

Twelve

Will try to talk to you to get your mind off of whatever upset you. Hates seeing you cry, so he will keep your mind busy. Turns into his Professor mode and starts asking tou questions. Questions make you think to find the answers. Praises you when you get them right, makes you think harder if you get them wrong. Soon, you’re having so much fun with the quiz, you forget why you were upset to begin with.

Thirteen

Goes into mother mode and tries to bring you as much comfort as possible. Blanket to keep you warm, biscuits to nibble on and her shoulder to cry on. She’ll ask nicely if you want to talk about it, but don’t feel like you have to. She’ll be there when you’re ready. Wraps her arm around you and sits with you, probably talks to you about funny things she’s done. Maybe some dangerous things too. She gets carried away with stories sometimes, but it takes your mind off things.

Summary: The day you died a star was born.

Notes: A sort of part 2 to this fic [X] Can be read on it’s own though.

Losing you was the worst thing that had ever happened to the Doctor. There was a hole in her hearts that you had once filled and she had never quite been the same.

The gang could see that and a day never went by where showed their concern, whether it was to each other or the Doctor herself.

The blonde always brushed off their worries and would put kn a smile and pretend like everything was as it was. Same old quirky Doctor, here to help people and make everything OK again.

Even if it wasn’t.

When she was left on her own she would lose herself in memories of you. Those special moments she had with you always surfaced her mind when she had no other distraction. Her hearts would break just a little bit more when she remembered the way you laughed, smiled, held her hand.

The Doctor slumped against the console and closed her eyes tightly. Her hands were balled into fists as she tried to resist letting tears fall.

It hurt so much to know she would never have you by her side ever again.

The TARDIS bleeped, trying to get her attention. The blonde tried to ignore the sounds her beloved time machine was making, but the TARDIS didnt give in. She sighed and slowly looked up to the screen.

“What is it?” She sounded tired.

The screen flashed, catching her attention. She swung it around the console so it was right in front of her. On it was a map of the stars and planets right outside. One of the stars stood out more than the rest. The Doctor burrowed her brow as she brought up its information.

It was a nameless star that was born the day you had died. She stared at that information.

“What is this?” She muttered.

The TARDIS bleeped again, the doors opening wide. The ship clearly wanted its thief to look outside.

The Doctor stared at the open doors and swallowed quite nervously. She knew what was going on and didn’t think she could bring herself to actually take a look, but this was also the only connection she had with you.

A star was born when you died.

She liked the thought that you were a star. You always loved looking at them.

The blonde walked over to the door with slow steps and leaned against the door frame, letting her eyes gaze into space.

Right there in front of her was the brightest star of them all, and now the most important star. She would name it herself. She gave it your name. This was your star now.

A star she would love more than the others.

The gang had come to check on her, they found her looking out at the stars. She wasn’t saying anything or doing anything other than looking.

“Do you think she’s alright?” Graham whispered.

“I don’t know.”

The Doctor, in all honesty, was feeling better than she had since you died. That hole in hearts was being replaced by a star. A star she could love forever, but wouldn’t love her back. That’s what was hard about loving stars.

No one could tell if this would help the Doctor, or just make things worse.

The team supposed they would just have to wait and see.

Cute - 13th Doctor x Reader

Summery: You think the Doctor is cute. She’s flattered.

Being the Doctor’s companion was the biggest joy of your life. Everyday was something new and unexpected, making the thrill of not knowing all the more enjoyable. Seeing what the world had to offer in different eras, and exploring planets you didn’t even know existed, was all wonderful.

However, it was the Doctor and all the things she did that was your favourite part. These things included the way her hands moved as she talked, the way she brushes her hair behind her ear, how she sometimes walks too quickly when excited.

Just the small things.

Having a crush on her would be understatement. You knew right away you had fallen so very much deeply in love with this mad woman. Everyone else saw it to.

The Doctor seeing it first.

She didn’t say anything however, because she was unsure if she should even make that move. Even the Doctor doubted herself at times, but being the Doctor, she was known for taking risks too.

That’s why when you were both alone at the console of the TARDIS, she began to ask you strange questions, ones you thought were far more bizarre than any she had asked before.

“What is it you like so much about being with me?” She asked nonchantly, flicking switches on the console and gazing between what her hands were doing and what was on the screen.

“Huh, where did that come from?” You gazed at her.

“Just curious, go on, indulge me.” She glanced at you quickly with a grin before going back to what it was she was doing.

“I guess I just enjoy being with you. You’re fun company and you’re the most entertaining person I know.” You shrugged.

“That all?”

“What do you want me to say?” I can’t tell you the truth.

“I just wondered what you liked about me.” She gave a single shoulder shrug.

“Lots of things.”

“Name some.” She stopped what she was doing and turned around so she could lean against the console, facing you.

“Well, I like how smart you are. I don’t think I could ever get tired of hearing you talk about time and space. I’ve learnt so much from listening to you.” You started.

“What else?”

“I like how funny you are even if you don’t realise how funny you’re being. You just make me giggle sometimes when you talk to yourself, or you go off on an excited little rant.” You chuckled just thinking about it.

The Doctor smiled as she listend to you.

“Go on.”

“I like how cute you are.” She admitted shyly.

“You think I’m cute?” She grinned. “Why am I cute?”

“Well, uh… I think it’s cute how you tuck your hair behind your ear… Or how you scrunch up your nose sometimes. I think it’s cute how you stand of to the side eating those biscuits or how excited you were when you were met Yaz’s mum.” You bit you lip. “That’s just a few reasons you’re cute…”

“More. Tell me more.” She smiled.

“Uh, it’s cute how you talk to the TARDIS when you think you’re alone. The way you hop down the steps outside my apartment building, the smile on your face when you hear something you like, the way you dance around the console when I play my music.” You looked at her softly. “Why do you want to know?”

She had the biggest grin on her face. “I just wanted to hear your thoughts about me. I think it’s cute you think I’m cute.” She shuffled over to you and took your hands in her. “Makes me want to kiss you.” She said coyly.

You blinked. Once. Twice.

“Excuse me?”

“It makes me want to give you a kiss. If that’s alright with you, of course!”

“Are you… being serious?”

“As serious as I can get.” She chuckled. “Can I?”

A few beats of silence passed before you nodded subtly.

She leaned in and gave you the softest kiss ever. You could feel your heart racing the entire time.

It wasn’t a very long kiss, but all those unspoken words were laced within it.

“I think the cutest thing about you is your kisses… and the blush on your face as you talk about how cute I am.” She gave a bright grin and tapped your nose softly.

Everything about your relationship with her afterwards is cute.
