Please read this post that @thisis-aphobia posted for me for the context of the original blog's deactivatation. I'm back, and ready to defeat transphobia once more.

Who Runs This Blog?

Just me, Tilly. I am agender transfemmasc and go by she/he/they/it.

Those of you who remember Annie from the original blog, she will be in danger if she helps or even knows of this blog's existence. Please read the linked post above for more information.

What is Anti Transfeminity?

Anti transfeminitiy* is the disallowance and gatekeeping barring trans women and femmes from womanhood and/or femininity. This includes but is not limited to bigotry, malgendering, transmisogyny, and the push to conform to the white pericis standard of Woman.

*This term may have already existed before I decided to use it. If it has a pre existing meaning separate to mine, all I can say is oops.

Made as an alternate term to transgynephobia, as the coiner of that term is not a person I want to associate with.

What If I'm Not a Trans Woman or Femme?

I do welcome all gender identities here to share experiences from their peers and/or friends, but ask them first. I know there's no way to confirm if I have their consent but it makes things easier on my mind.

You can also report instances seen in media, in day to day interactions, or online discussions!

one time i saw someone saying under a post they like to turn cis male characters into trans men so they could get rid of their "pp privileges" ....

obv there were some poor wording here but, tf is a "pp privilege"? .... do they think trans women have privilege for having a penis? and what about intersex people (including cis ones) who have developed that kind of genitalia?

"PP privilege" is a weird way to put male privilege. Male privilege does not apply to trans women and trans fems even if they have a penis and even if they are closeted - because male privilege only applies to a person as long as they are appearing as a certain way.

If they're using "pp privilege" to mean male privilege they're just transphobic. Genitalia doesn't determine your inherent privilege.

A Black transgender woman named Kalena Croskey was been "found dead" in a Birmingham County jail cell.

I refuse to believe this is anything other than straight up murder by the police force. Police kill people. That is all they do and they need to be gone 100 years ago. Fuck cops forever.

So many trans people have been murdered this summer. The list goes on and it never stops. Kalena "Peaches" Croskey should still be here today, like ebery other murdered trans person. But the hate and violence against trans people in the USA cut her life short.

Other US trans people, keep a very close eye on your friends. We can't lose another.

There is a Juneteenth memorial in place, organized by Birmingham's TAKE Resource Center for Peaches. There will be a ballon sendoff memorial held for her. More can be found at this link.

I was looking up Luisa Madrigal gender-related posts, and a good handful of them talking about folks who hc her as a trans woman/transfem are bad with the explanation of "just because she has muscles doesn't make her masculine >:(" and it kinda rubs me the wrong way because aren't they associating trans women with masculinity?

This is one of the things that I thing can really go either way, there's definitely some nuance in it.

A woman having a muscular form and having super strength should not automatically mean she is masculine. Muscles are a gender neutral thing and should remain as such. But a lot of people say that the reason others hc her as a trans woman is because they don't think a "real" (translation: cis) woman could ever have muscles or be strong. And you're right, they're associating a character and her traits with masculinity.

There's plenty of buff and muscular cis and trans women who aren't masc. But there's people with unchecked biases, like transmisogyny, who would defiantly imagine a character like Luisa as a trans woman.

A transgender Luisa head canon in and of itself, to me, means nothing. It's a singular act, but if there's a concerning pattern (like they only make hyper masculine trans women OCs/hc) then there's an issue.

It's means I am trans in a way that isn't just femme or masc. I am both! I am both masculine and feminine, so just terms like transmasc and transfem don't work for me.

Black people and other PoC in the UK and Ireland are in serious danger right now. Because of the crime of 1 man.

When the perpetrator is white it doesn't matter, "not all white people" "just a bad apple". But when it's a PoC who has done something wrong, riots and violence spring out against all of them.

Because of white supremacy, PoC don't get to have bad apples. One person does something wrong, and white people turn on the rest of them.

Shit like this reminds me of when my European friend told me that racism was an American thing that Europeans were past. And I didn't believe them then, and I certainly don't now. You can't look at everything happening to tourists and even residents who happen to be Black or Brown and say that Europe doesn't have racism. No continent is racism free, sadly.

To any of my Black and Brown friends living in the UK/Ireland right now, my heart goes out to you. Stay with your community. Find your people. I'm so sorry this is happening to you, it isn't fair. You and your community don't deserve this in the slightest.

I dont see white people or native citizens going out into the streets and attacking people with knives, trying to behead them in broad daylight, or accusing their victims of racism so they dont get arrested.

The difference is that immigrants should not be a first priority for any country. The difference is that many immigrants come from third world countries and then do not leave what makes those countries third world behind.

Recently a 17 year old was stabbed in the neck from behind from seemingly an afghan migrant. Looked pretty white from the capture footage (though personally i think its not the same guy looking at the attack footage)

Native Citizens "get bad apples" because they arent moving to other countries specifically to terrorize and murder people

But i dont see jake from state farm moving to africa and attacking the locals in the streets.

But when you have numerous immigrants from specific areas doing the same crimes its time to start investigating them all and having people deported

Hell i hardly even hear about nexicans doing it, at least that's mostly (emphasis on mostly im not denying they do other crimes) drugs. Id rather be force fed a drug than murdered. At least I have a chance of recovery.

And then theres the shit with karmelo anthony in america. Black people defending him for outright murdering a guy, saying he should be set free, complaining about there being no black jurors and yet all the black candidates said they wouldnt convict their own of murder. Henry nowaks murderer had his family try to cover up his crime and his family in the courthouse screamed racism at henrys family. The cops ARRESTED henry because his murderer accused him of racism so the cops didn't take his stab wounds seriously.

There is a PATTERN here. There are a large amount of immigrants who move to western, predominantly white countries because they hate white people. Because they want to hurt people.

And what are the so called "innocent" immigrants doing to prevent this from happening. What are they doing to call out these people? What are they doing to shame them and stop this sort of behaviour?

Nothing. Fucking. Nothing. In fact even worse they hide them and shelter them. They defend them.

I dont care if they havent done any wrongs, they moved to those countries the least they can do is respect the laws there. If they cant do that then they can leave. Go right back to where they came from. Immigration is a privilege in and of itself and privileges can and should be revoked for shit like this.

When my family first moved to the UK, we faced a similar risk to our wellbeing & safety as many are facing now, albeit for different reasons. in light of everything happening in Ireland & the tensions increasing in Glasgow, and the perennial England, here’s a list of actionable things to do for people who may be targeted & anti racist allies.

MY HOME IS ON THE LIST/LIKELY TO BE TARGETED, WHAT CAN I DO?

* it may bring you peace of mind to have a go-bag ready, just in case. A go-bag is a bag with everything in it that you need to get out a volatile situation quickly. Any bag that can be secured (buttoned or zipped) will do. In your go-bag, you should include;

- identifying documents; passport/driver’s license/asylum card/ILR certificate/British Residency permit card

- Wallet and/or banking books

- A spare charger & cable and/or a power bank

- any shelf-stable medication (tablets, inhalers etc.) if you are on medication that needs to be refrigerated, leave it in the fridge until you have to leave

- Sanitary items; toothbrush, toothpaste, sanitary pads & tampons, deodorant. If you have very young children with you, you may also want to take your nappy bag.

* If you have to leave, a go-bag is a convenient way to ensure you have everything of importance with you.

* If you are being supported by an asylum seekers or refugee charity, or are a member of a gurdwara/temple, mosque, synagogue or church, reach out to your religious leaders. They may be able to provide direct support, or put you in contact with organisations or other congregants who can help. If you are friendly with your neighbours, it may be worth contacting them too.

* IN THE EVENT THAT “PROTESTORS” DO COME TO YOUR HOUSE, CALL 999 IMMEDIATELY, AND FOLLOW ANY INSTRUCTIONS THEY GIVE YOU. MOVE AWAY FROM ANY WINDOWS. DO NOT OPEN YOUR DOOR UNLESS INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY EMERGENCY SERVICES.

I’M AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT/CARE WORKER/NHS WORKER, WHAT SHOULD I DO?

* Contact your student welfare office/NHS Trust/agency for advice, support and referral to organisations that may be able to provide assistance

* if you live in or commute through an area that is likely to be targeted, contact your lecturers and your faculty to find out whether remote study is possible; if you work in care or as part of the NHS, find out if it is possible to change shifts.

* If it would provide peace of mind, prepare a go-bag as listed above

* Reach out to your the uni society or student’s organisation for international students or students of specific ethnic origin; they may be able to provide you with direction to resources and peer support. If your university has a Marxist or Socialist society, reach out to them for mutual aid with a travel buddy etc., for getting to and from your place of study/work

* If you are a member of a gurdwara/temple, mosque, synagogue or church, reach out to your religious leaders. They may be able to provide direct support, or put you in contact with organisations or other congregants who can help.

* If you are friendly with your neighbours, it may be worth contacting them too for assistance with travel to & from work.

* Report any racism or racialised violence you are subjected to. NHS staff have a right to refuse to treat patients who harass, abuse, threaten or insult them; if a patient is racist to you, where possible, ask another member of staff to take over their care.

PERSONAL SAFETY:

* do not leave your home unless strictly necessary. If it is necessary to leave, don’t do it alone.

* use NextDoor, WhatsApp, social media and word of mouth to avoid commuting through “protestor” road blocks, areas of active conflict etc.,

* When travelling, use Share My Location or Life360, and keep at least two people aware of your expected time of arrival at your destination with instructions to contact the police if you do not let them know you’ve made it safely

* do not directly confront any individuals involved, or allow them to bait you into becoming confrontational

* only record if it is safe. Do not record individuals directly/from up close

* Do not directly intervene. If you see violence occurring, contact emergency services and if safe to do so, record what’s happening.

ALLYSHIP & HOW TO HELP:

* if you have neighbours, friends, coworkers or acquaintances form targeted communities, reach out to them. Ask them what you can do to help them feel safe.

* If you live in an area likely to be targeted, reach out to any vulnerable people you know. If safe and possible, offer to let them shelter with you in the event they need to leave home

* If you see any incitement to violence online screenshot it; it may prove useful in the event of individual “protesters” being prosecuted

* If you see any specific areas being discussed as targets, alert anyone you know at risk in the area

* Reach out to local refugee & asylum seekers’ organisations, to organisations supporting foreign national care & healthcare workers, and to churches, mosques, gurdwaras; they may be looking for short term assistance in helping to provide for vulnerable members of their community
