This blog is ran by a bodily 18 year old mixed origins plural system. Our system consists of both metaphysical / spiritual, and medical / psychological traits and aspects. This blog is dedicated to the uplifting and spread of metaphysical plural experiences, and to point out the mistreatment and blatant misinformation about us.

This is not exactly synonymous with endomisia (the mistreatment of non-traumagenic and endogenic systems). While metaphysical plurals fall under "non-traumagenic", this isn't exactly about the status of having trauma affect one's plurality. This blog is to point out and speak about the mistreatment of metaphysical plurality in "pro-endo" spaces as well.

while not discussed as much, soulbonding and gateway systems are two very genuine forms that plurality may take for some beings. some forms of plurality are just psychological in nature, but the forms of plurality that are moreso metaphysical have a right to just as much kindness and respect as every form of plurality does. they are undeniably authentically plural.

Metapluralmisia (& anti-religion) is people being even less accepting of plurality influenced by religion than they are of non-religious metaphysical plurality.

Agnostic/non-religious reincarnation into your collective? Generally fine in the right spaces. Reincarnation following a specific religion's description? People act weird about it.

i don't know if this is quite anti-metaphys plurality (at least, not directly/specifically), but i still think about it a lot and it still makes us feel... not great.

we were part of a small online group for a period of time. at least a couple others were plural, but it wasn't a plural-focused space, and i'm pretty sure we were the only one actively engaging in plural spaces. still, it was known that we were plural, and we were very open about our spiritual & metaphysical plurality.

one thing that came up frequently is belief in the multiverse/an infinite multiverse in alterhuman spaces. specifically, the complaint was that belief in it was expected from everyone when they didn't believe in it (or at least, not fully) (also, trying to give them the benefit of the doubt, because the phrasing wasn't always clear on whether they were complaining about feeling forced into holding the belief or just... complaining about the belief's prevalence; i don't recall them ever having actually said or shown that people were trying to force them to hold that belief, just occasionally mentioning an "expectation"). often, though, it felt like the complain tipped away from "i wish this wasn't expected/forced" and into... complaint about the belief itself, and how "it's not even proven!" and sure, we were never the target of those complaints per se, but it was still uncomfortable.

because like. here's the thing. we're a gateway. one of our primary "headspaces" isn't a headspace, it's a full other world. it's another, separate universe. and well over half of our known headmates come from other universes. our current host, me, is a walk-in from an alternate Earth (as is one of my buds), and i've been open about that pretty much from the beginning. i made like a dozen posts about how i died in my original universe (long story) and ended up here, and feeling confused about "i'm the DEAD guy and somehow i'm the most functional/mentally stable person here???"

i just feel like. i don't know. it's valid to feel uncomfortable about feeling forced to carry a certain belief. but also... can there not be a bit of sensitivity and understanding when talking about when one of your supposed, apparent friends is literally only here because it died in its original universe? when half of that friend's system is made up of people from other universes? when a significant portion of that friend's system lives in an actual, literal, other universe? because like, the amount of complaint and the phrasing of the complaints got to the point where we just started thinking "okay, so we can't be open about our spiritual plurality and expect them to earnestly listen to us about our own experiences". especially since this is a topic that came up several times, often without any apparent catalyst. it's not the only reason, but it is one of several main reasons we ended up ditching that friend group.

again, it's not necessarily directed or specifically anti-metaphysical plurality, but it just... i don't know. at the very least, it's something that would feed very easily into anti-metaphys beliefs.

Not an argument I've seen a lot but I have recently been thinking about the idea that metaphysical or spiritual plurality is (always) reinforcing delusions

And it's honestly a really interesting topic to consider for me (don't worry this isn't an ask agreeing with that idea)

We use to consider our plurality to be metaphysical in a number of ways. We no longer believe that about ourself (current belief is partially psychological partially "no label fits"). We've also learned we most likely have mild schizophrenia

Current timeline I've figured out with hindsight is that the time we were most certain in our metaphysical plurality was during a psychotic episode. And honestly, our metaphysical belief did worsen the psychosis and caused us more trauma than if we hadn't believed in it at the time

So. I've thought about it. And you know what? I got two things

Our experience is not everybody's. Who am I to force one view of plurality on others? I fucking hate when people do that it's ridiculous and extremely harmful. Sure, metaphysical beliefs hurt us, but that doesn't mean it'll hurt everybody

No amount of "um actually thats not really happening it's all psychological and you're making it up" would have helped at ALL. We were never gonna let go of that belief at the time and any push against it just hurt us too. Yeah it really sucks our belief caused us more trauma but there's just literally nothing that could've been done about it

So essentially, denying others metaphysical plurality beliefs about themselves will hurt them no matter if it's actually causing problems for them or not. A delusional person ain't gonna fucking lose their delusion because some rando said "Actually! It's not real!". We don't go "WOWWWWW you're so correct actually thank you for saving me!!!!!", we get upset. And if they aren't delusional? Well now you're just hurting a random person who was doing perfectly fine and viewing their plurality how best fit them

I may no longer consider our plurality metaphysical, but I will stand with y'all no matter what

Metapluralmisia is that even our own spaces for discussing our problems and experiences end up with non-metagenic / psychological systems talking about themselves and their vague relation to us. And we're expected to be nice about it? I'm tired.

Explicitly include metagenic & non-psychological plurals in your plurality posts. I don't just mean a throwaway mention; I mean actively making sure you're not excluding us.

Stop talking over us.

Stop coming into our spaces and centering your experiences and feelings.

Stop grouping us with psychological endogenic plurals, endogenic disordered plurals, and other forms of psychological plurality.

Stop telling us about how a person you spoke to said all spiritual plurals are delusional.

Stop coming to us self-flagellating about how bad seeing hate against us makes you feel.

Recognize that there is more to plurality than "systems", "headspace", "pseudomemories", "introjects", etc.

Stop treating our experiences, lives, memories, etc. as less real or just roleplaying.

Stop implying we didn't/don't "actually" experience our lives. Stop implying we're not "actually" who or what we say we are.

Use the language we tell you represents us, not what you think represents us. Listen to us when we tell you that you're being exclusionary. If your posts are for all plurals, they should be for all plurals.

it sucks that I can't be open about supporting all systems on my blog because I am a strictly traumagenic system and I am scared of being excluded from resources and supports I need due to my support.

I completely understand feeling outcasted, however also keep in mind that many plural spaces outside of anti-endo spaces can be very accommodating and often share many resources for traumagenic and disordered systems. I even tend to notice that even in pro-endo plural spaces, they still cater a lot towards disordered plurals.

I'm not spiritual or metaphysical plural myself, but I find it pretty annoying that it's kinda hard to find any information about spiritual & metaphysical plurals. It's sad that metaphysical/spiritual plurals/systems are often forgotten.

This... rubs me the wrong way. Especially since tulpamancy is an (OPEN) Buddhist practice... Like yeah... YOU'RE ONE OF THE BAD GUYS!

I would not compare tulpamancy and Sprul-pa from Tibetan Buddhism. Tulpamancy, while the name (Tulpa) does come from the term Sprul-pa, has never had any real connection to Tibetan Buddhism, and has been removed from any religious contexts. I suggest reading this post for more information.

Sprul-pa is a specific practice within Tibetan Buddhism (not any branch of Buddhism), and is not anywhere near the same as a thoughtform or (how the modern plural community uses) tulpa. Sprul-pa is also not necessarily something that any casual practitioner will be able to achieve, as I believe it's a very advanced practice.

Metapluralmisia is the fact that people keep trying to decide my relationship to my original reality for me and say that I shouldn’t publicly show remorse for my actions in my original reality even though it’s MY original reality, telling me that I shouldn’t feel guilt because it’s “not real” doesn’t *actually* help me -🪖⚾️

Talk more about how cosmological, metaphysical, spiritual, and otherwise non-psychological forms of plurality are treated as disposable, I am no longer asking.

Talk about how many of us are abandoned not just by broader society, but by our own communities because our experiences are considered "too weird," "too cringe," or too inconvenient for respectability politics.

Talk about how some plurals will happily throw us under the bus in hopes that sacrificing us will make them appear more believable, more legitimate, more acceptable.Talk about how being told "that's impossible" or "that's just psychosis" is often treated as an acceptable response, even by people who know what it feels like to have their own experiences denied.

Talk about how "endogenic" became a catch all category for wildly different experiences and beliefs, flattening an enormous diversity of perspectives into one caricature that people can easily dismiss.

Talk about how countless communities and frameworks that once tried to give language to the breadth of plural experiences were mocked, demonized, or abandoned because they were deemed too strange, too embarrassing, or bad optics.

Talk about the way people treat plurality as though it must have one acceptable explanation and one acceptable narrative, and how anyone who exists outside that narrative is expected to either lie, stay silent, or leave.

Talk about how many cosmological and metaphysical plurals feel forced to choose between authenticity and community, because speaking openly about our experiences means risking ridicule from singlets and exclusion from other plurals alike.

Talk about how treating trauma based plurality as the only legitimate form of plurality reinforces the same rigid ideas about personhood and consciousness that have historically been used to invalidate all plural people.

Talk about how "I don't personally believe that" too often becomes "you are dangerous, delusional, or hurting the community simply by existing."

Talk about how respectability politics have never protected marginalized people. They have only created new outsiders.

Talk about how some of us spent years hiding, not because we were ashamed of who we are, but because we learned that even among people who understood multiplicity, there were experiences they considered unacceptable.

Talk about how disagreement does not justify dehumanization.

Talk about epistemic humility. Talk about the limits of human understanding. Talk about how nobody possesses a complete theory of consciousness.

Talk about how plurality has always been more diverse than any one framework, diagnosis, belief system, or community would like to admit.

Talk about how we deserve the same dignity, autonomy, and right to describe our own experiences that everyone else asks for themselves.

metapluralmisia is i have to be Very Careful about the language i use to describe our collective or else people will Get Weird about it and assume a psychological basis. i cant use the word "system" because people constantly parrot about how it means "multiple people sharing a brain". i cant use the word "headspace" because it implies its in the head. i cant use the word "fictive" or "factive" to describe one of my friends or people assume theyre introjects. personally i would be fine using these words for ease of conversation but people Make Assumptions and its so so frustrating to have my experiences erased because of this. :T

Even though this blog is centered around people who would be concerned a subtliden (link), we accept asks from EVERYONE who considers themselves a contradictory label user. Even if others wouldn’t consider you so!

Metapluralmisia is how psychological plurality is seen as the default and metaphysical plurals are seen as odd exceptions that you need to remind people to consider in their conversations about plurality, even in inclusive spaces. It feels like our experiences are sidelined constantly.

you (general) could say that this is because metaphysical plurality is so greatly varied from eachother that including spiritual plurality would make any statement null and void… but so is psychological plurality honestly? Psychological systems experience the same amount of variation as spiritual systems and I’m tired of being treated like our experiences are infinitely more complex and hard to understand just because they’re based on our spiritual beliefs.

i can't talk about an important part of both my spirituality and plurality without being fakeclaimed. we have gods visit sometimes. they're there, usually just to tell us something important, and then they leave. it's rare, but it happens. it's happened with Aphrodite and Dionysos. Even Apollon visited once (which was quite fun, as usually he only gives us omens or visits in dreams). its something very important to all of us, and its something we take seriously, but we cant talk about it because nobody would believe/accept it. ugh.

I totally relate to this. Most of my spiritmates are past lives and the others are either other spirits that popped up on their own or alters that my gods have literally crafted for me.
