“Praying and sinning will never live together in the same heart. Prayer will consume sin, or sin will choke prayer.”
— J.C. Ryle (via alistairradley)
“God doesn’t delay. He never places you on hold or tells you to call again later. God loves the sound of your voice. Always. He doesn’t hide when you call. He hears your prayers.”
— Anxious For Nothing, Max Lucado (via myheartbelongstochrist)
“He was faithful then; He will be faithful again.”
— (via fallinhisarms)
I never know what God is doing, and sometimes it can make me so frustrated at my situation… but EVERY TIME, and I mean every single time I look back on those situations, I end up thanking Him for doing what was best for me (even if I couldn’t see it at the time).
Whatever it is, give it to God.
When your house is built on the Rock, there is no reason to fear the storm.
Matthew 7:25 (via randytemple)
The challenge is to take each situation and ask God how He wants to grow us, and to see that He may have a good purpose for us through what we see.
He Used A Stone (via yesdarlingido)
The enemy will play with your mind and try to make you lose faith in God. Don’t let him mess with you! Decide to trust God, no matter what you are going through. You are under God’s protective custody!
Bishop Jackie McCullough (via dailydevotionals)

Remember that God gave you this trial because he knows you’re capable of getting though it. It’ll be hard but nothing is impossible with Jesus.
How often do you praise God while praying? How often do you stop asking and just start bragging on Him? How often do you pause to tell Him how incredible He is— that He is the greatest thing in your universe?
(via worshipmoment)
You meant it for evil, but God meant it for good. Genesis 50:20 Today, you may be in a place of utter despair and hopelessness. Joseph must have felt same when he was in the dungeon, blamed for a crime he did not commit all because he took a stand for truth and purity. Little did he know that every adversity he faced only propelled him towards his destiny. “In God’s hands even the things that have broken us can be used by Him to make us whole again.” If Joseph were not in the prison he would never have met the cupbearer or the baker. Look at the way God was plotting Joseph’s victory. God is plotting for your victory too. What the enemy has meant for evil God will turn it for your good and for your victory. Hallelujah!
