As I walked with my friend here in Mexico we saw a little black girl with 4c hair. My friend asked if the US had little girls with hair like hers. Afromexicans don’t see themselves anywhere. They have little to no representation. We need more black people in Spanish speaking media.

It’s sad that the Black Mexicans with darker skin and kinkier hair don’t get so much representation like the ones who have a lighter skin tone. I saw people in the coast of Oaxaca with deep dark skin tones and TWAs but you don’t see that in photosets that get reblogged.
