Yep. That sounds just like Noah. I think he’s worried his reputation for being a “bad boy” or something will be tarnished if he actually does his chores.
Oh yes, Noah is the very definition of bad boy. Good thing he didn't soil that persona.

You’re probably right. I guess I expected this kind of thing from Noah but… oh, whatever. Well, what brings you here, Echo?
I was looking for Noah, actually. I don't know why I checked here..he'd never be in the place he's supposed to be.
What’s the point of training if no one shows up? Cass and Noah better have a good reason for this…
Oh sweet angel, I think we both know they don't have one.
You're Not My Valentine || Noah & Raven
Raven’s realization now voiced out loud sparked a terrible panic in Noah. He couldn’t stop a subway train. How was he supposed to be the hero if he lost? This wasn’t going as he had planned… had he ever planned any great rescue like this? He knew one thing, Jarome’s training hadn’t prepared him for the terror that came with knowing other people’s lives were in your hands.
"Wait, wait, Raven, your face.." Noah called, fumbling forwards. He reached for her but she was quick- or perhaps he was just slow- and continued on helping others, like he should have been doing. He stopped, understanding suddenly that babying Raven wasn’t going to benefit the whole. He let her go. He sighed, actually working to redirect his brain in a more productive direction. "We have to get out.." he muttered to himself before raising his hands and announcing that everyone should remain calm.
He looked around for some kind of inspiration of what to do… “Does anybody’s phone work?” he asked, a few began riffling through their pockets but those who retrieved phones looked down at their screens with utter disappointment. Noah knew before any had answered that there would be no calling for help. Still looking around, Noah pushed his way to the sliding doors now shut and stiff, not planning on opening any time soon. He wriggled his long fingers into the crack of the double sliding door and began to pull them away from each other- but neither door would budge.
Having exhausted herself out from all the help she was barely giving she had to sit down and catch her breath. She looked over to Noah with a cocked eyebrow, watching him try to force the doors open brought a slight evil and almost Echo like smile to her face. She cleared her throat and even at her loudest voice she was very audible. "Noah! We're underground, this is your turf! Also, can't you control electricity? What do you think powers this train?" She was practically helpless in this situation, there was no enemy so her powers were rendered useless. "I don't know how any of your powers work, Noah. But this is your shinning moment." She sincerely hoped that her encouragement and hints would lead him to spark up an idea.
Churning in her mind was the wrath she was sure to come home to for not only being out so late but being hurt as well. Some of her worry drowned away she she realized Noah would probably get more shit from it. Soon she pushed through the crowd to try and get to the front and once she got their she opened the main power surge box and choked as smoke clouded her vision.
Jarome | The Jellyfish Sting | Ash
Desiree was a tall and slender black woman with dyed red hair that was styled into one big afro puff on the back of the crown of her head. The woman wore a pant suit and a long white lap coat. Along with the lap coat was a pair of clear shades that would protect her eyes when she used her powers.
"Where is he?" Jarome growled, startling the woman. Desiree turned around slowly, prolonging her response time which irritated Jarome. With her long, slender legs Desiree stood almost 6 feet tall, but with her white stilettos she reached 6’2" and towered over Jarome. She smiled, open-mouthed, and ran a pink tongue across her pearly white teeth.
"Oh, Romey." She said with a giggle, "You’re too late my dear." With a wave of her hand she beckoned Steven forward. Roboticly, he entered and stood at attention, flanking Desiree on her right. "You crazy bitch." Jarome muttered.
Ash was in complete disarray with the situation, he was under educated in whom this person was and wasn't sure what her power was or what was happening in it's entirety. He was hesitant to use his own powers in worry that he'd disrupt some mind control the woman had with Jarome's cousin. However, he held his hand steadily. ready to take action he was needed to do so but he wanted to be sure he knew exactly what the woman was doing to Steven.
To have heard respectful Jarome use such obscene language almost started him but he kept him composure for the most part. He couldn't just whisper to Jarome in a situation like this so he simply looked from the woman, to Steven, to Jarome. Several times.
Well...
I can honestly say that it does not belong to me.
Just-Noah take it away.
It seems I am the only person who is free.
Or as others would put it, the only person not controlled by the almighty Witch of Sedgewick Manor.
As much as I enjoy house arrest.
Does someone want to kidnap me so it's not my fault that I leave?
Well...
I've found someone's porn in my home. I do not want to know who's it is, or how it got there, I just want it gone.
Please take it away.
If I’m quiet
I’m plotting.
I’m lurking.
I’m making icons.
I’m too tired.
I’m trying to do drafts and probably not succeeding.
I’m making up other accounts/or are on another account.
I’m trying to have a normal life, is it working? To be decided.
It's that day...
"Well, no, but… we did the thing where we decide to be in a relationship! That means we don’t do things like sleep with other people." Noah was at his wit’s end, literally- he was drawing a blank. All he could think about was fucking Kelsey for the first time in so long…
"I’m an adult with self-control, Echo… I can wait…" he lied.
"I'm glad you're loyal..that's all I could ever want from you, Noah. Thank you."
"Well you won't have to wait much longer.."
Jarome | Alaska Is For Psychopaths | Ash
Jarome’s face remained stoic, solid. He could have been a very convincing wax statue. “Go down the corridor. Holler if you find something.” Jarome stepped up to the door and pressed it open. Upon entering the fully cement room hidden behind the oak door, painted red, he took no time to wait for his eyes to adjust to the new darkness and pressed forward into blackness.
Peering around with squinted eyes, he could barely make our the outlines of stacks of inventory- uncooked meat, jarred pickles, unopened but positively stale loads of bread. The storage room. He shook his head, thinking malicious thoughts about the locals he had come to despise for the trouble their town had brought his cousin before… and now.
Ash nodded professionally and then once Jarome turned the other way he had his hands up as if to start a kung fu match. As he walked down he heard the quiet murmur of voices and then a few loud groans of pain. As soon as he heard he didn't proceed, take them on, this was Jarome's fight and he knew that Jarome would want to finish this.
He ran with light feet back down the hall and looked to the open door that Jarome walked out of. "Jarome. It's through here, This is your fight, get your cousin." He nodded, reassuring him.
It's that day...
"What?! No. No, I don’t want it… not when you’re here.." It felt strange saying that out loud, mainly because he had never really believed it. "I can’t… you can’t just let me run around fucking everything in sight… can you?"
"I don't have to let you do anything. I don't control you." She sighed and rubbed her face. "I just can't give you that and it fucking kills me. I want you to have it somewhere, somehow...something."
It's that day...
"Echo, noooooo. This isn’t how this is supposed to go…"
"Maybe not. But I know you want it so I want you to have it."
You're Not My Valentine || Noah & Raven
Noah wanted to protest. On some level buried deep beneath his romantic dreams of saving the day and being a hero to the people of New York City, he had an innate and childish desire to be the center of attention at all time, an innate and childish pride that disallowed him to accept help- he needed to be the hero all by himself, to prove that he could do it. “Yeah, I can stop the snow too..” his voice, once proud and boastful, now shrunk to the size of an amoeba and he fell silent.
When she nodded, he nodded back, roboticly and without much signs of approval or appreciation. Noah gave his attention back to the crowd, and more specifically the man who had asked for his guidance. “Okay guys. We’ve got light and we’ve got heat.” he announced, pausing because in his passionate mind he believed that this small achievement warranted applause and cheer. He received none. “Well,” Noah continued with disappointment, “Now we should figure out a way to communicate with the-“
The world shook and tossed people carelessly to and fro. Noah himself fell from his proud stance onto his side, landing on top of his mountain of gifts. The fire flickered and weakened as he lost concentration, his head whipped around with anxiety as he searched for whatever had caused the earth to tremble. “Raven?!” he called, the pile of fearful subway passengers became an extreme game of bowling right after a strike.
As everyone fell she covered her head and hit the ground. She manged to get a good gash along her right cheek as she stood up to a frantic Noah. "Noah, no one knows we're stuck here. Another subway is going to come and crush us if we don't get out or get running again soon." She said as she stood up and touched her face, she wasn't used to extended pain with Echo around all the time.
She began helping people up with the little ounce of strength she had and waited for the train hero to figure something out. She was trying to think of his powers and since they were surrounded by mostly dirt and stone she figured he could use that to his advantage but knew he'd find more pride if he thought of it himself.
Jarome | Alaska Is For Psychopaths | Ash
Jarome followed Ash around the bar to the top of the stairs, shooting the frightened occupants of the bar threatening looks. Standing at the cellar doors, Jarome said to Ash, “No. Stay with me.” He noticed that he was breathing heavily after the terrible scene he had made just minutes before. He was usually very judicious with his powers so the sudden overuse of his abilities had drained very quickly. “Steven is everything to me. I’ll do whatever it takes to protect him. You have to keep me from going too far.”
Whatever soft humanity had been present in his face was gone now. He turned away from Ash and descended down the staircase.
Ash widened his eyes and cleared his throat as he followed Jarome down to the basement, the smell of must and mold clouded his senses. Looking ahead he saw two doorways, one with a wooden door and the other was just a path. He looked at Jarome seeing as he was the chief in this mission.
"Are we going to go with the obvious or the clever?" He asked with a chuckle and then tensening as he knew the seriousness of the situation.
It's that day...
"Um, yeah, I mean, no! No, because that would be lying and.. no. Um…" he looked away, embarrassed at his inability to articulate his feelings. "I don’t know!" He had given up… but found himself thinking about Kelsey.
"Go to him, Noah. I'm letting you. I'm not some crazy bitch who has a test along with the gift. Just go." She smiled and shook her head.
