Noah sighed heavily and rolled his eyes at Raven's mention of his powers of electricity. He couldn't just control and manipulate electricity like he could with the other elements, it was experimental and dangerous... he would be risking too much. He knew she was just trying to help, to build his confidence, but the recent disappointments had left feeling afraid to try. "Come on, Noah, come on.." he muttered to himself before matter-of-factually stating, "Wow. I never thought I'd be the type to think out loud under pressure. Lame." he shook his head, a playful smile tugging at his thin, pink lips.
He turned to face Raven, with a refreshed expression that he hoped didn't look too forced. "You're right. And it's scary but... I can do this." His fingers folded in on themselves forming confident fists. The whites of his knuckled gleamed and sparks of fire flickered and danced and then dissipated around his hands. Opening his hands, the palms glowing red like hot medal, he spoke with authority. "First things first. Melt the doors. Get outside. I'll start making a tunnel-" there was another rumble that should the train ad threw more people onto their asses. Noah held his ground and looked around at the crowd that despised and needed him. "You deal with the almost-angry mob. I'll deal with-"
He was already backing up towards the emergency exit doors when another rumble shook their underground world. Noah stumbled the rest of the way to the doors until his back was pressed against them, his burning hands felt an ooze of some foreign substance bubbling against his skin. "I'll deal with whatever the fuck that is." he turned and pressed his palms into the doors with all his strength. His head cocked over his shoulder as he warned, "Raven.. I'm stating to think that an earthquake in the middle of New York City isn't what we're up against." He meant it to sound dramatic only to her, but he found his throat dried out as he gulped with true fear of the unknown danger.
