This week, #ladyannyeong started jumping up on the couch, something she did often in Korea but hadn't continued stateside. I think I know how she spends her days now.

Today, my joy is complete. This friends, is an active vinegar mother from my apple cider vinegar experiments that has matured into a hearty mother and more importantly made me a beautiful batch of wine vinegar! Bring on the spinach!
"It was a gesture, she thought, of unequivocal pleasure - pleasure at hearing what all of us wanted to hear at least occasionally: that there was somebody who liked us, whatever our faults, and liked us sufficiently to say so." #mmaramotswe #no1ladiesdetectiveagency #books #truth Reflecting on hurt people and a broken world over lighthearted yet profound fiction.
#NaPoWriMo 2013 day 12, Poem 26 - CONCSCIOUS LITERACY
(tumbr follower poem for thisis27)
there are mysteries in this world heavens and hells that I know not of if we dream long enough we can find them somewhere near the border between north and south
it is written between the lines of every book something golden and of value to our souls
becoming more and more in our learning gaining momentum in our searching
Well looky there, I have a poem dedicated to this space. Thanks!
Today, I became an aunt. What did you do?
#tbt #throwbackthursday #lifewithmike... Our first sputtering break together, before we were married...oh how far we've come.
I have read the James Patterson series Maximum Ride since starting work at the Jr. High School.
I then learned that they had been turned into comic books. I've never really read comics of Manga's, but wanted to check it out.
Then, I learned the illustrator was a Korean and this was her first big project and that the books were popular in America and Canada, but she wasn't really seeing them in Korea (obviously).
But, then I started noticing things within the illustrations that are distinctly Korean and I feel uniquely connected to this series as illustrated by a Korean.
There are no "hahahaha"-s, but rather "kekeke"-s.
And then there's this illustration.
Which features Pepperos - a famous Korean sweet.
And my heart just smiles.
It's like I have a secret with the illustrator.

Day 17- Someone you would want to switch lives with for one day and why
Although I spend the majority of my time with this man and listening to the stories of his life and witnessing the day-to-day, I believe my ability to love and relate as a wife would only increase were I to spend a day living the life of my husband.
I firmly believe, that one of the greatest things I can offer to this world is a healthy marriage with my husband. For future children, it will be essential. For friends, family and strangers, is encouraging and inspiring.
In general, the world is broken. Marriage is often extremely broken. But it doesn't have to be, and I believe that the more I strive to love, respect, honor and understand the man to whom I vowed such things - the more likely we are to offer the world the best that we have to give.
