A New York Night

The girl flipped her hair over her shoulder at his words, dipping her hips in a mock curtsy. “The day you have another favourite woman will be the day World War 3 starts.” She said with a playful wink, nudging him softly with her elbow. “I’m not looking forward to the day you replace me, you know. My jealousy will be raging.” She was mostly joking - Aaron had a habit of choosing girls that weren’t good for him. Hell, he must’ve slept with all of New York when they were on the show, not that she could say any different for herself. Before Logan, Marley slept around like it was her job. There had even been a time when Marley and Aaron had been a possibility, though she was long over that now. Still, he meant a lot to her. “Auntie Marley misses her Dessy-boo.” She cooed in babytalk. “I’ll have to have her over for a girls day soon.”
She rolled her eyes at his next comment, nodding in agreement. “I’ve had my share of run ins with the likes of him - the poor girl. I hope she’s alright.” She said, looking over her shoulder, concern etched across her features. It would be impossible to spot her in the crowd now, more people piling into the busy bar as the minutes went on.
Marley shook her head, a triumphant smile pulling at her lips as he pulled out his phone and checked. Her arms crossed over her chest as she looked up at the ceiling in mock deep thought, her fingers tapping against her forearm. “Mmm, not sure you can.” She teased, raising her drink to her lips. “You’ll have to get creative.” She said with a wink.
Aaron shrugged. “Honestly I think I’d be prepared for World War 3,” he began. “It’s a shock that women haven’t already started a war over me.” he shouted over the music as he grinned from ear to ear. It’s no secret that Aaron had been a womanizer in his younger years, before he got into a serious relationship, had his daughter and made friends who had guided him on a better path. The new fame that Rich Kids had brought him had made it har for Aaron not to revert back to his old ways. The blonde felt like he had grown a lot since the show, and that he wanted to be a good role model for his fans and for his daughter. It was important to him that Destiny wasn’t ashamed of her father and that she grew up to love Aaron just like Aaron loved and idolized his father before he passed away.
Aaron walked around the bar and put his arms around the small girl’s shoulders and pulled her in for a warm hug. “No need for jealousy. You’ll always be my best friend.” A wave of nostalgia rushed over Aaron as he thought of the first time he met Marley. He had used her like he used other girls during that time in his life. He was forever grateful that Marley had found it in her heart to see a different side of him, the side that didn’t come out until the show.
“She would literally love that. She loves spending time with you. She thinks you’re WAY cooler than me and her mom.” he said with a chuckled. Aaron looked down at Marley, shaking his head. “I hate guys like that. They remind me of 20 year old me.” he said, shaking his head. “Except I was good-looking and rich,” he joked with a sarcastic attitude. Aaron saw that concerned look on the girl’s face. “She’s fine. The bouncers are watching.” he tried to reassure her.
Aaron thought for a moment. “Well to start it’s way to loud and dark in here. Let’s go for a walk.” he proposed with a raise of his brow.
