I’ve always heard the whole statement with Pisces having difficulty with letting go of illusions. However, I personally haven’t seen an explanation that really gets into the core to why it’s so difficult.
Why would Pisces, even with rational awareness, cling onto an illusion? One would think through rational and logical evaluation, Pisces would let go, but they don’t. This just goes to show that one does not always have to follow what is rational as a standard of action.
I think what really keeps a Pisces in such situations is the feeling such illusions give. Illusions are a false account of reality, but Pisces feels something immensely true, something truly genuine down to the core of their being. It feels amazing to where logic is dismissed. To clarify, I’m not justifying that a Pisces should stick to illusions, but I will say that there’s a lot nuance with the relationship between Pisces and illusions. People are so quick to label Pisces as naive, irrational, and maybe even stupid when I don’t think that’s the case. It’s hard to let go of something that feels so intimately true. It’s hard to move on from something or someone who makes you feel a way reality will never make you feel. Pisces highlights the notion that humans are often disappointed with reality.
If we’re being honest, if someone or something were to give you another reality that wasn’t disappointing, we would totally accept it. This doesn’t just take place through illusions. This can take place in being rich, beautiful, successful, whatever helps you escape reality. Whatever makes us not present in our being. If you think about it, if our current rational reality is actually arbitrary, it really just means we justify our madness better than a Pisces. Are we really sensible then?
You know what, maybe Pisces really has everything figured out and the rest of us are living an arbitrary reality we think is real and reasonable through logical and rational justification. See, we’ll never really know. We just know reality escapes our control.
Basically, I just do not think it’s smart to hastily label Pisces as naive, irrational, and stupid, if people want to go that far. Pisces reveals a very human quality people struggle to accept, and that very human quality is not completely understanding and controlling the reality we find ourselves in.
