I love this on so many levels, but I think one of the reasons I find this so touching is because it's the biggest display of love and trust that Alex & Kelly could demonstrate to really welcome Lena into their family (and obviously Kara and Eliza had to be in on it), and that's all Lena has ever wanted. Just, unwavering trust in her. And just like. Esme and Lena were around the same age when both of them were adopted, so I have a feeling that Lena would be extra good at being a godmother. And Lena also just lost the last of her family, so I can imagine this helped her feel a little less alone in the world. This detail just makes me super emotional okay?
