Hiatus
Sorry for the long pause! I’ve been really busy with work and moving across the country. And, with a new semester beginning, I’m going to be up to my ears in work. Posting on tumblr was fun for the summer, but I’ve got another degree to earn! So from now on, I’ll be posting much less frequently. I’m sincerely sorry. I’ll try to check back for asks and the like. GUYS YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW WONDERFUL THIS IS
Parkinson’s is a degenerative disease and while it’s progress can be slowed down, it currently doesn’t have a cure. People suffering from Parkinson’s will experience a gradual loss of coordination and ability to perform even the most basic of every day tasks, including feeding themselves.
This fucking spoon is HUGEfor them. Look at that gif of the man just trying to eat with the regular spoon and compare it to the liftware device. It’s NOT just a spoon, by the way, it comes with a fork as well, for example.
I found the website for the project where you can purchase a spoon for someone you know/love and even possibly donate money to help someone out who can’t afford it themselves right: HERE.
At the very least, please spread this for all the people who have Parkinson’s or loved ones with Parkinson’s.
You’ll help them take part of their life back.

Non-Canary
I am so sorry! It’s been brought to my attention that on a post I made earlier, my MAC autocorrected non-binary to “non-canary.” While I got a little laugh out of the inadvertent stab at a few bird otherkin, I want you all to know that it was a typo. I respect and value the rights, identities and struggles of transgender people, and in no way was attempting to equate them with otherkin or make fun. Thanks to syncedalone and fuc-kin for the heads up!
Edit: AND it corrected Fuc-kin’s name. I can’t win for losing. :P

When im filling out a form and it asks for “Religion” i put “Otherkin”

I don’t…understand…otherkin…especially fictionkin…those are fictional characters someone created, not you? You can’t look at someone’s creation and say “that’s who I am now” and then attempt to compare your experiences with trans people…that makes the struggles of trans people look frivolous…there’s a huge difference between saying “I prefer identifying as this gender because that’s where I feel most comfortable being me, as opposed to this gender which society expects to be this way” and saying “I’m this character because I like them”… that’s just stupid.
Or acting like “species dysphoria” exists, or pretending that you’re oppressed because you’re otherkin. This post is also very important because it reminds us that fictional characters are the property and creation of other people, and to act like they already existed in some other dimension completely negates and disrespects years of work, development and passion on the part of the creator. Again, identifying WITH or relating to a character is fine, but when you try to equate it to being transgender....

Isn’t it sad when actual trans and non-binary people are overshadowed or drowned out by people who just want attention? *sigh*
The shitty thing about dysphoria is that it can be triggered. And if it’s triggered bad enough, you can have an anxiety attack, a psychotic episode, start self-harming, etc. And I’m not exaggerating here.
So when people say “WOW UR TRIGGERING ME” because you don’t use their pronouns when they don’t have dysphoria, are they upset? Probably yes. Is that important to be respectful of? Probably yes. But is it the emotional level of triggering dysphoria? …you would be hard-pressed to make that argument.
Because while someone without dysphoria could potentially be offended “So when you say you were born with a female body, you mean you have a vagina?” A trans person is fucking triggered. Someone has indeed said that to me before in public and I literally (not how the young kids are using the word today; literally as in, I mean it when I say this) had the worst panic attack of my life.
So that's what dysphoria does when you get misgendered or someone talks about your parts like that. It has a field day messing up whatever mental health you’ve stitched together for the day and kicks down all your coping mechanisms. And that’s why people who push for “inclusivity” via “let’s call people by their sex organs like uterus bearers or penis wielders” are not only offensively reducing people to their genitalia, but also triggering actual trans people they’re trying to include in the first place.
Dysphoria don’t fuck around.

What the fuck are people gonna say next like “I don’t really like chocolate cake so that means I’m different that the average person so I guess I’m LGBT”

All these “fight me” posts beg the question: what do otherkin mean when they say they want to fight? They obviously do not mean discuss or debate, for they cry harassment and block anyone who disagrees with them. So, what does it mean?
It means I want to fight, literally. I want to punch people in the face, because that’s what fights are for. And don’t come with this bullshit excuse that we ignore who disagree with us, beacause I don’t. And maybe if you guys stoped acting like otherkin are mentally ill we wouldn’t have to block people like you :3c

The spiritual advice sales are self explanatory, but at least one person under the age of eighteen has been tricked into paying 20$ for an email from this group confirming their status as otherkin. It’s a bunch of hogwash nonsense.
