Let's See How Far We've Come || Isaiah & Stella
"You and I had very, very different childhoods. Mine was full of like, bedtime stories and gentle encouragement and hugs. All that good stuff!" Stella said. "I mean… from failure, you learn. From success, you don’t. So weakness is a good thing every once in a while." She rolled her eyes. "Everyone needs human interaction. Ever played the Sims? ‘Cause in that game you can literally die of loneliness." She fell silent, thinking about his question. Honestly, no answer immediately came to mind. They just sort of put up with each other, she didn’t think either of them had any idea why. "Well… you’re interesting to talk to, when you’re not insulting me. You’re pretty smart, too, which is a plus." She paused. "I really don’t know," Stella admitted with a shrug.
"I was shoved around and insulted," he said without emotion. He held no contempt for his upbringing, it had simply been what it was. "I learned from my mistakes, I don't make mistakes anymore." He smirked at her question. He'd never played any sort of game in his life. "Never. I don't have time for such things. I have myself, I'm not lonely." He waited for her answer and when it came he simply just looked over at her. "Idiotic, strumpet," he said before looking away again, he may as will insult her, especially if it might make her leave. "I'm more than pretty smart... I suppose the feeling is mutual, though, seeing as how I have yet to push you in again."
