“I’ve loved life, I’m hungry for it. At the same time, life seems horrible to me, it seems inaccessible. That is why I am a believer, out of skepticism. Yes, I want to believe, I want to live, forever.”
Albert Camus, from “The First Man,” originally published c. 1994
"When one is pretending, the entire body revolts."
― Anaïs Nin
Mind boggling incredible, highly rare and of course collectable Schuco black kitty powder compact, c. 1920’s.
Kindness, kindness, kindness. I want to make a New Year’s prayer, not a resolution. I’m praying for courage.

““Intellectual despair results in neither weakness nor dreams, but in violence. It is only a matter of knowing how to give vent to one’s rage; whether one only wants to wander like madmen around prisons, or whether one wants to overturn them.”
