Liquidroom 10 Year Anniversary recap
Sorry this turned out a little too detailed xD
So Kim and I arrived at 9:30 am and we spent the next 8 hours worrying and being extremely confused why nobody seemed to care about the line changing all the time or how in the end no line even existed anymore.
Until I finally realized about ten minutes before the doors opened that we had to line up according to our ticket number. So we went from being 3. and 4. to being 130 and 131 *dadam* xD Overall there were more than 600 people I’d say though.
I really wonder why other people who probably knew bothered showing up in the morning too, when you can literally appear at the last second and still be the first one to enter. Well their system is certainly more peaceful.
The good thing about everything is though:
We’ve been able to see the bands arrive. Tomoya, Toru and Ryota all arrived together in their tour bus. Before the arrival the fans got caged into a corner of the yard with a fence in front of them so nobody went crazy lol.
They went in super quickly and only Toru appeared later on again. He went upstairs and waved, disappeared for a second, took a step back to wave one more time with his lazy Toru grin and then went up again once and for all.
The fun thing is, there was no fence when the crossfaith members arrived. The band’s guitarist just came in driving the bus with instruments, Hiroki the bassist suddenly appeared with a skateboard and Kenta the vocalist came in with a Taxi like a boss. Every member took their time to give autograph’s and take photos with the bands. Jelly.
So only Taka was missing. He probably took the train since he came from the station’s direction and just randomly appeared at the end of the line. Once the fans noticed they went crazy and surrounded him like a swarm.
One woman gave Taka her baby to take a photo with it on Taka’s arm and Taka politely complied before a staff member secured him out of the crowd and inside the building xD Kim and I were standing a little apart from the crowd feeling a little sorry for Taka who was being circled no matter where he went xD
At 4pm the merch stand opened up, which is a lot cleverer than opening it up during the concert like we’re used to xD So we were able to get some of the new merch and they also offered a special Liquid Room 10 Year Anniversary shirt and poster. A lot of people came in just to buy merch and left afterwards since they didn 't get a ticket. I was surprised how every single fan visiting the concert bought merch, they really seem to support the bands like crazy.
Finally the concert. I stood in the third row between vocalist and guitarist.
Crossfaith came up first and of course, killed it xD The fans went crazy and everyone was super sweaty and dripping after just one song.
I stood my ground though people tried pushing me to the back and squeezing in before me, since I thought the fans wouldn't be as crazy to OOR’s music.
I was wrong. That’s all I can say xD OOR’s intro before they entered the stage was amazing and gave me goosebumps. I believe it was a new one. Ryota started his Deeper Deeper solo as usual, standing in the stage’s center and enjoying the attention.
I quickly left the crowd after fans went crazy and watched the rest of the show from the side (the view was better anyway).
OOR performed with a lot of passion and I preferred the concert much compared to the RIJF. It had more of a personal and emotional feel to it.
In between the songs Taka gave his usual emotional speeches how thanks to the music he was so glad to be born and to be able to perform with everyone.
Mighty Long Fall was again, amazing live and everyone went crazy when Stuck in the Middle was also performed. Though barely anyone seemed to be able to sing along, since there are no lyrics out yet and the most understandable part is in English xD
After the last song was performed people kept on clapping for what felt like an eternity until OOR finally came back on stage.
(the audio starts here) Taka commented something along the lines of “You guys are still full of energy, huh? Time to go home!” and they left again xD Everyone laughed and chanted “Ankoru” till they came back to perform one last song.
Taka said something like “Ah well it was such a fun time, we want to do a little more, right? But because we’re special guests with crossfaith today and performed a two man show, I want to invite a guest vocalist.”
Kenta came up on stage, doing a fun little rap and everyone went crazy.
But Taka’s announcement didn’t stop there: “Well we could do it like this. But the truth is, there’s one more friend I want to invite, a friend from another band we’re very close to… coldrain’s Masato”
I was screaming my lungs out lol. Masato also delivered a cool line xD Then they performed No Scared together. Seeing these three sing together on one stage was amazing and their bromance was very heart-warming (lots of hugs and brofists were exchanged) xD The lyrics were split up very well, each one singing a part that fit his voice best (Kenta doing the screamo parts) :D
At the end Taka thanked the fans for today. He asked the whole “Crossfaith-san” to come up on stage and they took a photo together with us fans. They soon bowed, waved and left one by one. The last thing Taka said was “Come “play” with us again sometime” which is something he usually says at lives and I was super happy to be able to hear it live lol xD In the context he rather means to hang out but it still sounds so cute to meet and play together xD
Only Toru stayed as the last one, standing in front of his mic he grinned a while before screaming a thank you and following the others xD
After the concert we were quickly shooed away by the staff so the band could leave at peace. One guy came up to us four times and told us to leave even further until we almost reached the station, though we just wanted to organize our stuff before we set off xD And that’s it :3
