On vacations
One of the many new experiences since arriving at "adulthood"-- asking for time off can be nerve-wracking, maybe even a tad bit embarrassing.

On vacations
One of the many new experiences since arriving at "adulthood"-- asking for time off can be nerve-wracking, maybe even a tad bit embarrassing.
On the journey
Perhaps the meaning is in the journey, and not in the destination..?
On having it all
The reality is that having it all, for people and countries, is in the best instances a poor choice of words and in the worst, an illusion. For women seeking work-life balance, it is not about "having it all"... but rather being able to make career and lifestyle choices that have long been available to men. That means the freedom to choose. And make no mistake: choices have to be made. But in life as in public policy, the only way to the best possible outcome is through having the courage to make tough calls. Even when the United States was in its ascendancy -- think Vietnam -- the sweet siren's song of politicians offering it all has always led to the rocky reality that you can't spend dollars and save them too. Eventually you've got to choose between guns and butter.
Thoughtful conversations brings more knowledge.
The best thing about being 20-something? Knowing I'm not stuck. Maybe.
Yes, we can make every Monday a Saturday!
On baby steps
It's sometimes good to take a step back, create a panoramic picture of what's surrounding you, and think (but only for a mili-second) before you make that giant leap forward.
On running this country
What drives people into politics? What would possess someone to want to run for the presidential seat? Sure, it's easy to say it's for the love of the country--to make changes for a brighter future, build a better world for the next generation to live in... but really, if all you do is argue and debate for a cause that has a slim chance of pulling through, the amount of stress is (I could imagine) high, compensation isn't that great, and you won't age well... Why bother?
On failure

Failure means you just haven't gotten your success yet.
Failure is inevitable. Failure is productive. And it becomes productive when you view your work as an experiment.
On worries
Why worry about things that may or may not happen only to forget about them in the future and worry about even more things that may or may not happen? Worries never end, but the days do.
