Still trying keep this thing alive.
I bought battery grip for my dSLR. I have been overlooking and disliking those always due they size and weight and haven't owned one ever. So finally I thought to give it a go so I can change my mind or continue my dislike towards them. Thoughs behind the change in my attidute came from a few blog post I read written by old pro photogragher (how is now a days against everything and thinking pro photography has been destroyed and he might be right) who was talking more about usage of the camera and not about the pixel densities or fps gain from the grip. In his mind the basic consumer (or prosumer as they call them nowadays) SLR is missing some weight and structure to make it easily holdable and usable. So 25€ to ebay wendor and now I'm waiting my first grip.
Second thing bought was new keybord for our living room multimedia computer. I have been using small wireless keyboard with trackpad included in it and it has been working without bigger problems. Biggest weakness of it is that it cannot wake up the computer as it is connect via 3rd party wireless transmitter what is connected to usb. This has lead into a situation where the computer is always on as there is no easy way to wake it up. New keyboard works with bluetooth and that my computer should be able to follow eventhough it is sleeping and get the command to wake up. Now I can let the computer to fall a sleep when it is idle and hopefully save sum electricity (whopping 4€ per year according to my calculation) and cut down the heat created by it.
