Tom Sturridge on Morpheus, BFI Q&A
While visiting my parents today, I found this gem on my mother's nightstand. She's rereading Good omens. I didn't remember what the cover of our paperback edition from year 2000 looked like, so seeing it after so many years was a lovely surprise. It made me laugh. It's quite different take on Aziraphale and Crowley (also very gay). Now all I can imagine is Michael and David sitting like this with their naked butts. 😁😀😂
Be cool. Be like Neil
I love the part when they are talking about him not being nominated for Queen and Frost Nixon. I love how honest he can be about it, that he can admit he was a bit disappointed. I noticed it in many Michael's interviews. He' s very open about things other people might feel uncomfortable to talk about or might want to hide in order to look better. But Michael doesn' t do that. He shares some very personal stuff with people. And I love him for that. And Michael, I asure you, you did nothing wrong. You are an amazing wonderful actor and I hope you are finally going to be recognized for that.
Michael Sheen will be the death of me.
So I just binge watched first 6 episodes of Masters of sex. It's 4 am and I' m going to work in two and half hour. Not very professional of me. But god I love it!
Awwww! Help me! Michael can read a shopping list and I would love it. But this made me melt at first and then laugh when he said he has a "hideous demon" 😂😘
Have you ever seen a man more proud of his pavlova
I have personally never been prouder of a man’s pavlova
I've just seen the whole thing and I'm grinning like an idiot. Can he be even more perfect than this? Michael Sheen, marry me! Please!
David Tennant and Michael Sheen - photographed for High Life Magazine (promotion for Good Omens)
Excerpt from David Tennant Does a Podcast With Michael Sheen:
David: We have just come from a publicity photoshoot for Good Omens, which is a show we’re doing, during which we had to sort of dress up in clothes and have our photograph taken, kind of as ourselves.
Michael: Yeah
David: I don’t think I’m talking out of school when I say that both of us find that… not our favorite part of the job of acting.
Michael: No. We haven’t talked about this until now, so this is quite fun. [David laughs] Can I ask you, am I the grumpiest person you’ve ever seen at a photoshoot, or have you seen grumpier people?
David: Oh no, I’ve seen grumpier
Michael: You have?
David: Yeah. I don’t think you’re that grumpy. I think you’re an honest version of how I’m feeling
Michael: I wanted to kill everyone. Including myself
David: [Laughing] That’s exactly what’s going on in my head, but because I could see how annoyed you were at times, it made me become sort of a performing monkey, going “No, everything’s great! Everything’s fine!”
Michael: I’m so sorry
David: No! Because you’re right! It was excruciating
Michael: I was aware at certain moments that I was totally leaving you to pick up the pieces. [David laughs] I was just refusing to answer certain things. I was like a child, just not answering. And you were very nicely, because you’re a lovely person, saying something just so that there wasn’t utter silence.
David: Usually I’m you in that situation
Michael: [Laughing] Are you really?
David: Exactly. That’s what I mean. I think we’re very similar about it. I’m asking you, as a means of therapy for myself, why is that bit of the job so excruciating?
Michael: Because it sort of strips away a lot of the stuff that allows us to feel better about ourselves.
David: Right
Michael: So it strips away all the pretense of artistry. It’s just, “MONKEY F**KING PERFORM, MONKEY!!!”
Have you seen this? Seems I can't get enough of Michael Sheen
I just love this man! How can Michael Sheen play an angel when in reality he is such a demon..
Oh my god!
“Q: In “No One,” Jaime and Brienne finally reunited after almost two full seasons apart. Few characters on the show have greater chemistry than these two. What do you remember about shooting their scenes? A: It had been a long time since they last said goodbye. It’s one of the greatest love stories on television for me. I just absolutely love it. The extraordinary thing for me is that they create such a beautiful, dramatic tension in any two-shot that has Nikolaj and Gwendoline. The way they use their eyes to either connect or disconnect — to avoid each other’s eyes — is so great. They play the black notes of their scenes so beautifully. But here’s the thing: as soon as you say “cut,” they become the best of mates who just rip the piss out of each other continuously. They’re really good friends. They’re so light and such fun together. Whenever there’s a day with them, I know it’s going to be great, because they’re just going to be taking the piss out of each other from start to finish. Gwendoline has the most extraordinarily, fantastically contagious laugh in the world. It’s just this odd day of having the most fun and creasing up laughing so much, and yet, as soon as we say “action,” they switch into this wonderful sexual tension and this wonderful sense of yearning and beautiful layers of unspoken subtext between them. As actors, they understand that connection so instinctively that it was one of my easiest days as a director. They know that relationship and understand it, and there’s something about that chemistry these two actors have that fans those flames in the most intoxicating way.”

Reblogging this once again... well, because.... those were the days when we all had hope...
Gwen and Nik
What I love the most about Gwen's and Nikolaj's friendship is how Nik changes when he is with her. You know, I love him and he is great even in interviews he does alone, but when he is with her, he kind of lights up, he seems to be so comfortable and at ease and genuinely happy to be there with her. Like he's a different person.
And I love it! If these interactions between them were the only good thing we got from GOT, then I'm completely happy about it!
Am I the only one who was really bothered it was not the same book as in season 4?
One of the reasons GoT ended up being a massive disappointment is bc every character seems to end up alone. That’s the end of their story and they’re all alone, they’re without the people they love most in the world. None of the Starks are together. Even after hearing for years about “the lone wolf dies, the pack survives”, they all separate. Bran and Sansa are both coronated without a single member of their family there. Brienne is alone without Jaime, as is Tyrion. It all just seems incredibly depressing. It’s an awful cold and uninspiring message to leave your audience with after 10 years. All your favourite characters either died (before or after their arcs were destroyed) or they ended up alive and alone. What a miserable legacy to leave.
