Severus self care routine is muggle skincare and an everything shower or if he has more time a long relaxing bath
Severus had tried all the Wizarding World skin care options, but none were as good as Nieva for Men.
His shaving cream was Nieva sensitive, with Nieva aftercare for his post-shave.
He used Nieva moisturiser regularly and sometimes added a night cream in the winter.
He showered in the morning with his double-sided washcloth, Nieva shower gel, and Head & Shoulders shampoo.
On a Sunday, he indulged. He'd run himself a ridiculously hot bath with Rituals bubble bath (and a rubber duck).
Still here. Just incredibly busy. Who knew working full-time and being a part-time engineering student would take so much time (lol).
You can still send me prompts, I spend a lot of time on trains and in hotel rooms and there's only so much studying I can do before my brain falls out of my ears.
You can also send Q&A stuff if you have any burning curiosity about what I'm up to xD
Do Hogwarts students get reports sent home at the end of each year? You know, the ones where the teachers detail your performance etc...and you get some comments from your head of house.
Apart from Snape's reports, I would love to read what Trelawny writes.
Got sucked down the Every Day Carry tunnel on YouTube and much like the productivity videos I watch...what do these people /do/
Like their EDC is every cable known to man, laptop, gaming console, Kindle, tablet, mouse, keyboard, stand, camera, coffee machine
Mine is: notebook, Kindle, book (the first Wheel of Time in case anyone is interested), laptop if I'm on-call/travelling for work.
What do people do which means they have to carry all their tech in a backpack everyday?
Although that said, I do carry a ridiculous amount of stuff when I'm travelling for work. Maybe I should do an EDC of a lighting tech...
Oooh, I know. I should do a Severus EDC
As a student, Severus always had his nose in a book.
He was frequently in trouble with Madam Pince for the various food stains and notes in library books
He received a two-week ban from the library after the Mashed Potato Incident.
He never quite mastered the art of walking downstairs while reading but thankfully no one saw.
His favourite place is a small second-hand bookshop in Hogsmeade. The old lady who runs the place gave him a key.
He has a secret stash of romance novels under his bed.
Saw this today...
All seven Harry Potter audiobooks to be transformed into new full-cast ensemble productions
and squeed. Yes, I squeed. The actual noise.
I'm not that far off 40yrs old. I can't believe I squeed xD
Severus's Bad Day
- He woke up late having slept through his alarm
- the shower was cold.
- he ran out of the good toothpaste and had to use The Spare
- he couldn't find the other matching sock and had to wear Thursday socks on a Wednesday.
- he spilled his coffee
- Neville Longbottom blew up his classroom again

Is there any part of the canon narrative you really like to build off of or interrogate with your AU?
In GoF, Fake-Moody said that Arthur would know all about the Imperius Curse and we know that Voldemort's followers infiltrated the ministry using the Imperius Curse. So...I think Arthur was an Auror and found himself put under the Imperius Curse. I also think this is why Arthur has a good relationship with Real-Moody.
Are there themes or motifs or specific concepts in your AU that you hope people will notice? (Do you want to give hints about your masterful foreshadowing or chat about your extensive world building? Should we all grab a floriography dictionary when flowers are mentioned?)
Not consciously!
Would your AU!Snape want to trade places with canon!Snape (and vice versa!)? Why?
I think so. In my AU he gets a family, people who love him and a good job.
Do you think any other characters are going to escape the gravitational pull of their canon narrative/fate in your AU? If so, can any of that extra AU!velocity be attributed to Severus’ actions?
In my AU there won't be anyone to hear the prophecy so the Potter's are safe. Or as safe as people involved in the Order of the Phoenix can be!
Does Severus have any major interests (mycology, astronomy, sci-fi, baking elaborate puff pastries, art forgery, etc.) in your AU that we never got to see canon!Snape indulge in? Do these interests play a major narrative role?
No, but I do kinda want him to start making elaborate puff pastries.
Bored.
Ask me Anything
- Tobias Snape was a squib
- he knew all about the magical world and hated it for the way it had treated him.
- he'd argue with Eileen about magic and the magical world
- he loved his son and wanted to protect him but his lack of magical ability made him ashamed and fearful that he couldn't protect Severus.
- Severus never told him but as things turned sour at Hogwarts, being at home without magic became a refuge of sorts
- Severus is always cold
- he buys thick thermal socks (in a variety of colours and patterns)
- he has a hat with ear flaps
- he has several fleece blankets on his bed
- Minerva has asked him on more than one occasion why he continues to have his room in the dungeons.
- Severus has no answer for that.
Doing a 30 Days of Productivity and today is all about time tracking. The only real conclusion I have about time tracking is that it's for people who have office-based jobs because my time tracking would look something like this:
Worked on a VL2600 for an hour Shouted at the VL2600 for ten minutes Poked at the VL2600 for fifteen minutes Stared at the technical diagram for twenty minutes Contemplated life choices for half an hour Realised I forgot to plug a connector back in Ten minutes of staring into space feeling like an idiot
Your last post about Snape's mother, is it true? Where you found that informations? Love from another Slytherin
It's all non-canon, anon :)
My posts are a mix of my own pondering and prompts people have sent over the years. I like to play around in the universe :)
Eileen Snape was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's when Severus was in his sixth year.
She was admitted to 'Saint Dymphna's Home For Wandering Minds'
Severus visited her every year at Christmas until the events of Chamber of Secrets.
Minerva McGonagall is the only one who knows about his mother.
After Severus's death, she couldn't face being the one to tell Eileen. Harry volunteered.
Eileen thought that Harry was her son and was delighted that he was visiting her again.
Not knowing what to do, Harry went along with her belief.
Just a little PSA.
I am of the Holmesian view, not the Doylian view.
Interpret that how you will.
(AKA - Death threats, not cool. People like stuff. Leave it at that).
- Severus found himself being summoned to Minerva's office.
- "You wanted to see me?"
- "Yes." Minerva stood up, smoothing her dress. "It has been brought to my attention that neither of us are getting much sleep."
- Severus raised an eyebrow.
- "So." Minerva indicated the sofa, there was a pillow and a warm looking tartan blanket.
- "And you?"
- with a slight incline of her head, Severus saw the cat basket.
