y'all ever think about how Manon didn't actually fall for Dorian's wickedness or coldness, I mean yeah she was horny for that, but she always knew the kindness and the warm heart he has... She never trusted men, she knew how cold and cruel they could be but she trusted Dorian because he was the exact opposite. When he told her that he could wipe out all the Crochans if she asked too, she knew that he didn't say that because he actually wanted to hurt them, but he would do whatever necessary to protect her, which he always did whenever she was in danger...

Some things you can only do alone in the safety of the night. Reading chapters 89/90 of Kingdom Of Ash is one of them. If SJM would've just ripped my heart out with her bare hands instead of making me read this, it would've been far easier to stomach than those words written on paper. like her or hate her, but my take on Nesta is that she’s the most realistic portrayal of the more hideous side of mental illness out of Sarah’s characters.

It isn’t always roses and pretty paintings. It isn’t always channelling your trauma, sadness, anger, and immensely conflicted emotions onto healthy outlets. It isn’t always letting people help you, or even being capable of interacting with them. and holy shit could I identify with that level of self hatred.
