I think it is very cool how tech companies, schools, employers, and universities make it actively difficult to distance yourself from Google, Microsoft, and Apple.

Yes most Linux distros are very stable, way more secure, privacy friendly, and way more customizable. But every institution is built to make technological independence as difficult as possible.

Yelling on the internet that everyone should switch to Linux and FOSS really ignores how much of the technological world is designed to not let that happen.

The one thing about life that I still have yet to figure out is being a group person.

Like someone that gets invited to places, to social events.

I can't seem to figure out how to be that person. I always meet the same people but I've never been once invited to some meet that they have.

As weird as it is maybe I just don't fit in their type of circles.

I think nobody talks about the relationship Alex had with Jay, and, it's so pure, I'm rewatching modern family and I've noticed that there isn't much of Alex and Jay as much as I wanted it to be there, Alex is seen as this very strong, studious person but the scene where she's afraid to go to college hits cause there could be smarter people is quite relatable. We all want to be the best and I don't like this competition, if I want the best job I have to do my existing job plus do extra curriculars to get a new job how is that even fair.

I have 300 tabs open, but i never get those done.

Part of me wonders what will happen if I delete those tabs and close the windows.

Part of me knows I'll go mad.

Sometimes I don't really get social people, I try my best to be one, only to never get invited to their parties, even when most of the people there are folks that chat with me quite often.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe the whole social life isn't just for me, I never fit in groups, so maybe that's why I get left out. I don't really know at this point but the fact that it hurts me and I can't go to anyone and talk about it hurts me even more.

I wish I'd found the mirror version of me the comforting friend but I doubt that's possible.

I hate how the tech bros have fucked up hand written notes. They were supposed to be nice and cute and not to be sold out on the internet like dafuq do y'all need to monetize every single godammn thing

Everyday I see people doing so much and all I can do it scroll through social media endlessly.

I don't have ideas to build, all I know is that I have to make it through today, and I hate it, I want to be people who can build things every other day.

It's like creativity just left me, I feel colorless like something that's just fleeting through time.

I long for old school stuff so much in this world filled with dating apps.

The love you'd find when you're in a bookshop, or the one where you're at the bus stop.

Just no swiping and more of those secret glimpses, trying to figure out a way to make a conversation, it being awkward and we laugh at it.

I don't read these days but what I'd give to go back to that phase. There aren't even bookshops in my area anymore.

I'm Sinking in this world of apps when all I want is old school love and friendships.

My fear of being abandoned has been so much of a pain that before I can even form a relationship of sorts my default mode is to just not get attached to anyone.

But all that does is make me hollow, everytime I meet people I think, "Oh I've finally found something", and as soon as they go away I'm left with this void that once again makes me feel like I'm empty. Its like I'm a strainer rather than a container.
