TSxMe November 2015 : Michael Wolever, Photographer & Model
TSxME is a special monthly series highlighting outstanding individuals throughout our hometown of Philadelphia. These individuals and their projects represent the Thread Society mission of creative and personal excellence. This month we are proud to feature photographer and model Michael Wolever.
Hi Michael, tell us a little about yourself
My name is Michael Wolever, born and raised in Pennsylvania.
I'm in my first year of film school at Temple University; I started off by making movies on my dad's old camcorder so i think its natural progression!
What do you like about Thread Society clothing?
Thread Society is really tight because it’s so comfortable and everyone can wear these styles. Comfort is the key because if I'm not comfy my whole day is off...
Thats flattering! What's your favorite piece that we have? What would you wear for fall/winter vs. year round?
I've been wearing the white long sleeve a lot, perfect fit for any season
Need that club jacket next...
We'll hook you up with one! So, what do you like about Philadelphia?
That would be awesome! It's cool to live in Philly now because its way more active than what I'm used to. I used to get really comfortable and lay around too much; now I’m under creative peer pressure in a good way. (All my friends are better than me...) Plus the food is sick.
Do you have any future projects you're working on?
Right now I'm working on a photobook and a website that will hopefully be up soon. The website will give my clients something tangible to look at and my photobook is a great source of motivation to continue working on a consistent timetable and schedule. Also, I just wrapped up my second short film this year. There are some secret summer things I can't tell you about yet...
That sounds awesome! Where can we find you to stay updated on your work?
You can find me on instagram (@loverswetkiss) and tumblr (drinkglue)
