Hey, figured i should set up a pinned post!

I go by many names but you can call me Al. As of this post i have been fish keeping for 10 years and have had MANY betta fish, including babies, Kings, special needs, petstore, and breeder fish.

My ask is always open to anyone with questions, you can ask anon or not, it's fine by me! I will admit that with medical care i am not the best person to ask so I'd feel more comfortable if anything serious was not brought up to me ^^ I'd feel horrible if i provided the wrong info and it got your betta in worse condition.

I will gladly provide any info about my bettas set up, including brands that I use or how i personally do things, and I am also always open to discuss my own fish, such as what breeder they came from and their personality :)

Well we no longer have Danny, however the tank is thriving. We already have a bunch of little baby shrimp that have been growing in the past month.

I have zero idea what it was. I assumed he was showing signs of swimbladder issues, so I started by fasting him to see if it improved. Unfortunately during that time he started pineconing and in less than 36 hours he was dead. He was a pet store fish so my expectations were low, but I didnt think itd only be 3 months with him....

We still have 10 shrimp in the tank and for now itll stay that way so they can have their babies safely

Hes been with us for a week, so say hi to Danny Phantom!

The tank was empty for about a month (outside of the shrimp) and i didn't really have the time or fun money to do a massive stock of shrimp (theyre $5~ a pop and i wanted at least 20). I went to petsmart, not expecting much, but they had JUST gotten a huge shipment in and...yea

Funny enough a woman stopped me, ready to give me fish advice, but once I told her I had a 10 gal cycled planted tank she was like "oh welp never mind!" She did try and get me to buy the distilled water PS sells, but considering my tank has been cycled for a 9 months now, I think my tap water is safe lol

We did sadly lose one of the shrimp, so as of now we only have Boo Berry. If shes still alive when I get paid, ill look into bringing in some more. Danny is too slow to catch them so I doubt they'll be in danger (plus they hide so well *i* cant even find them sometimes). So time will tell for now

Can I please get assistance with figuring out the sex of my 2 shrimp? I assume female > male?

With Eva gone, I didnt want to take down the tank since I had so many plants and the tank was cycled. And I cant bring myself to get another betta.

Betta community please help, I dont know whats wrong with him and im literally getting zero advice

He's see-saeing between horribly lethargic to energetic so i dont want to just immediately go to eurhanizing. Sharing my details from reddit if someone can help.
