Just a heads up, because I haven’t seen much about it on Tumblr lately:
Jordan Peele’s horror film, Get Out, opens next week on the 24th (February). It’s pretty much the only black-led film out this month (besides, I think, the Ice Cube comedy, and the limited release documentary of James Baldwin), and it’s written and directed by a black man. It’s also pretty unique to its genre, being a horror film through the lens of the black experience, as a commentary on “unconscious, liberal white racism”.
It has pretty good reviews as of this writing (100% Rotten Tomatoes, 80% Metacritic). You can watch the trailer here.
Y'all remember when *golf clap* was a thing
it’s still a thing. you do it after some one hits a golf ball
he killed whoever took this picture immediately after
One of my clearest high school memories is of the time I asked my freshman bio teacher what he wanted to be when he grew up and he said “assassinated”
so far, i don’t enjoy The Sims Medieval as much as i enjoy The Sims 3. i do, however, think that this is the best personality trait in any Sims game, period:
best. trait. ever
damn it turned the water into 90s anime water
oh yeah last night i had this dream where i was in a town that had a whole culture of nightclubs who had no bouncers, and every single door in each club was locked had a panel of completely transparent glass on the top half: the only way to get the doors unlocked and into the clubs was by “drawing better than a five year old” on the glass panel with crayons. afterwards, every door inside the club lead to a higher tier where you had to draw better than children at constantly increasing ages. why
actually not far because i was banned from the clubs for some reason
this was 2 years ago apparently but i have zero fucking recollection of any of this happening
hey everyone psa
this friday, february 3, bandcamp is donating 100% of their profit share to the ACLU in opposition to trump’s muslim ban. from the perspective of an artist who sells their stuff on bandcamp, the website’s share is admittedly a lot, so this could potentially do very much good.
here are some cool muslim musicians that sell their music on bandcamp.
Ok… but… who the fuck asked you?
why did it call jon a thot
