Our 14 year old dog Ringo died yesterday. I wish we had more time with him. I wish dogs outlived us, I feel their lives are so short.

I was crying so much yesterday riddled with what-ifs and sadness. And comforting the heartbreak of losing a part of our family.

Run free, Ringo. We will miss you.

I remember being here because of thoughts in my head that I needed to write somewhere. Not caring who or if anyone would read them. An honest space just to be.

I've made a tradition of capturing the last sunset as the year ends. There's always something melancholic about it. A sense of goodbye to a time we can never get back, but also a looking forward to another the coming sunrise of the new year.

I was on the road today, and as I watched the sceneries pass by, it kinda reminded me how I am right now in my life - always moving, and most of the time, in confusion.

Where are you going though?

I remember the days when I come here just to write.

As a casual weekend surfer, I have fear of overhead waves and depth where my feet can't touch the ocean floor.

One day, I traveled an hour where I surf only to realize that the waves were overhead. I had no plans to surf, just thinking about going to those waves made my heart pound & hands sweat. But my coach was there and insisted I ride just once so my journey won't go to waste. He got a smaller surf board (smaller than I'm used to, I usually surf with longboards) and assured me it will be safe & I can do it. Though my heart pounded like crazy, I took the board & we headed to the lineup. Riding that one overhead wave was a ride I will never forget.

This quote was inspired by that experience. It's really not about being fearless but not letting fear win - in whatever aspect of our life that needs it.

Home, she said, can be many things. To her, it is the sea, the mountains and those mornings of peace when she can watch sun rise.

And in one moment of solitude, she came back to express the feelings she thought she lost. But were there all along.
