Brutus had stayed silent for most of the journey, mainly because it'd be a bit weird to talk to his ghost 'friend' when he wasn't even sure if he was there.

"It seems like it. But I'd say it is you who hates my guts this once, my friend."

Was he being sarcastic? Absolutely. He didn't find amusement in being reminded of such a vulnerable time of theirs.

well you did kill me.... *he put his hand down and it actually landed on Brutus's... he could feel Brutus's hand.... he looked up trying to meet Brutus eyes to see if he realized it too*

For a moment, the former senator could've sworn he felt something other than chills. He just.. couldn't believe that he could actually feel Caesar's hand touching him. Yikes.

"I.. I thought you-"

He stumbled over his words, taking a moment to think about the implications. It wasn't a comforting thought, that was for sure. After all, he had killed him.. and he might want revenge.

*he just stared at Brutus for a minute before taking his other hand and touching Brutus shoulder and laughing in glee* I CAN FEEL YOU BRUTUS! I CAN FEEL YOU!!!

He answered, now wondering if he should start sleeping with a salt circle around his bed. What if the late emperor decided to strangle him? Or put a pillow over his head while he slept? That was a risk he couldn't take just yet.

*Ceasar was ecstatic! There was so much he could do again! He'd give Brutus a very cold hug and a kiss on the cheek. He wasnt meaning it any way just excited.*

Quite frankly, he was expecting being punched in the face at the very least.. not that. It showed by the way he just stared at Caesar like he had seen a ghost (get it?).

"There was no need to do that."

He declared, but who was he kidding? He hadn't gotten over his death, much less what they had once shared.

He would probably need a drink or two after this.. he felt so drained in every sense. It wasn't like it was new, it just intensified after this mess got to him.

The former senator was in the middle of chugging down a bottle of wine when the words reached his ears. The mere thought made him choke on his liquor. His deceased friend was certainly full of surprises... some stranger than others. And, to be honest, he wasn't sure this one was a pleasant one.

He coughed out, torn between thinking of a response and wipping off the red liquid falling from his mouth still. In the end, he did both in order.

"What the- How would that even work..?!"

At that precise moment, Brutus felt the familiar sensation of losing track of logical reasoning. It was a feeling he was relatively familiar with, one that came without warning and always caused him endless trouble. However, how could he remember him if he couldn't even remember his name?

"I still think it'd be quite weird.. you're dead, after all."

He mentioned, as if looking for any sort of reasoning as to why it'd be fine to do this. For all he knew, Caesar could be a hallucination product of grief, which would also mean it wouldn't really affect anyone.

"Then again, the whole thing was weird on itself."

"We can make it work.."

He mumbled against the ghosts' lips, before pulling away. He was far too embarrassed to comment on what had just happened, knowing he probably looked like a madman to any other person who might have seen him kiss the air.
