The other movie Seven reminds me of is A Little Princess... if you haven’t already seen it then you should watch it! “Pack your dolls and a sweater. We’ll move to India forever.” This movie encapsulates childhood friendship getting through bad times.

I think the true beauty of this album lies in Taylor’s description of it as a mixture of fact and fiction. We speculate about the songs and that becomes folklore. Many of the songs can be seen as aspects of her life and yet the most beautiful love songs of all time. For example, My Tears Ricochet. I hear Mirrorball, This is Me Trying and Mad Woman (<-obviously) about her career and also about relationships. The betrayal/pain felt during a career is just as deep, and the same emotion as that of an ending romantic relationship. That’s the beauty of Taylor being able to pinpoint feelings. Many of these songs can be seen so many ways, and truth and reality are blurred... and that’s the exact point of folklore, isn’t it? We can continue to speculate, but our view in a week, or even a year from now could change. It’s the first album where she truly made art for art’s sake, without having to fully bare her life for us. And yet, all the emotions are true to her. They will be passed on like folksongs, our love lasts so long. ❤️

My theory is that Invisible String is about the photo below (see string on finger) and about their secret engagement. The line about their three year trip down by the lakes in the song Invisible String alludes to the fact that they got engaged there, which The Lakes will reveal.
