PSA: just because you can’t see a person’s disability doesn’t mean they don’t need their service dog, handicap tag or other assistive devices.
PSA 2: a person having an assistive device does not give you permission to ask what’s “wrong” with them

Just wanted to share this lovely post I found on Facebook. Think people. Think of who you’re really hurting.
Disability Emoji Reviews: Service and Guide Dogs
Im doing these together since the emojis are very similar and i have basically the same criticisms
Okay, we’re off to a fine start. Both of these look like good boys, and having one with a walking frame/lead attached to a harness gives nice variability. they look like actual dogs, though they’re a little flat. 8/10
perhaps….too detailed, too realistic. the service dog one is a nice good boy and variation in breed is always nice, but the guide dog one is unsettling somehow. i think it’s his everything. would pet, cautiously. (but not while he’s working). 5/10
two very simple doggos here! to be honest, trying to mark a dog as a guide dog as opposed to any other service dog is a bit pointless cos there’s lots of reasons to have a frame as opposed to lead or lead and no frame on a guide dog, etc. so the breed difference is the nicest thing. anyway, these are fine dogs! working hard. good boys. 8/10
highly abstract dogs. very flat. the service dog looks more like a search and rescue dog, or perhaps just a swiss dog? don’t like that the outline ends at their butt. unsettling. 3/10
WHY DO THEY LOOK SO SAD. HEY SAMSUNG? WHY ARE YOUR DOGS SAD? ive never met a service dog thats sad to be working i hate this give those good boys some treats samsung how dare you make me think about dogs being sad -10/10
these boys are both quite pointy and i’m actually really here for it? usually microsoft emojis are too clunky for me but these are nice boys. very flat, but still good. 7/10
now these, these are some beautiful boys. they’re so proud to be helping their humans look at them! strong stance, good chest, forward eyes! excellent boys. would’ve liked a vest on the guide dog and lead as well as the frame handle, but you can’t have everything i guess. 9/10
i’m loving the dark poodle here, nice to have some breed variation too and also he looks majestic. the lab though is hugely over shaded and i don’t like it. why is he so shiny. 10/10 for the poodle and 4/10 for the lab.
WHY. -100/10
When you ask to pet a working dog, don't be upset if you get a short answer. You're not the first person we've had ask that day, hell you're probably not even the second person in an hour that has asked to touch or has touched without permission.
Don't get upset because we get short with you, get upset because so many people have already done what you have tried to do that you have put us on the defensive before you even get close to us.
Before you even say a word, I know. I try to get in the way.
Before you even reach out, I know. I try to say no.
Before you even get close to us, I know. I try to get the dog into a position where you can't touch him.
I don't want to hear about how you lost your dog, I've already heard another story today. I don't want to hear about how your friend raises guide dog puppies, it's got nothing to do with me.
I don't want to tell you what conditions I have, it's got nothing to do with you. I don't want to let your kids pet my dog, he's not there for your entertainment.
You can huff, puff, make comments, you're not the first one to do it and you definitely will not be the last. You can get upset, lose your temper, call us names and become a two year old. We've seen it all before.
So when you see a working dog all decked out in its gear, and you see its handler walking next to it, leave the damn dog alone so we can go about our day.

The Colours of Istanbul Istanbul-based photographer Yener Torun has captured the colourful architecture of his home town of Istanbul. Given the graphic quality of his work, it should come as no surprise that Torun had an interest in design long before he picked up a camera. By merging all of his interests, he’s seen his work progress and his Instagram following explode—he now has nearly 200,000 followers watching his every move.

Monogamy vs Polyamory
A past relationship ended because he wanted monogamy and I wanted something open/poly.
He felt as if loving someone else means LESS love to give to your primary partner.
The thought of love as a finite resource depresses me.
I view it more like a campfire - you can warm one, two, five, or possibly more people with the same fire.
If you’re sitting by the fire, adding another person beside you does not make it any LESS warm for you. I think love is the same.
Curious what others believe? Does an open/poly relationship divide your attention & divide your heart, or does love grow when people are added - like lighting multiple candles from the same original flame?
