Florence || Dormies
Erza thought carefully on what their next move would be. If they go into the bed with Florence and their dormmate walked in what would that seem like? They just got here and already, at least to Erza, it felt like their dormmate/new friend was flirting with them. It was different and new and quite frankly made them all.. bubbly inside. It was weird really. Just weird.
They bit their lip, kicking their boots off and getting into bed next to Florence. Their heartbeat picking up rapidly. Erza knew that if they were to lift their hands and hold them out they would be shaking as well. Nervousness wasn’t something they experienced until now.
The teen laid there a moment, stiff as a board. They closed their eyes and took a deep breath slowly releasing it. Erza shifted and turned to their side so they were facing Florence. Their eyes opening. “You’re going to make my heart explode, Florence,” they mumbled quietly. A bright blush still on their face. Erza pressed their lips together, chewing on their bottom lip softly.
Florence hid under the comforter, feeling like a devious little boy. It was kind of fun to mess with Erza, their chemistry with him mimicking foolish children who muck about. It was kind of refreshing and it was nice to be a kid again. Playful, with nothing being incredibly serious.
After the sounds of shoes being removed, Florence was welcomed with a weight on the space next to him on the bed, which was unmistakably Erza. Judging by how no one else was in the room, of course. And the weight seemed Erza-sized. "Willkommen, Erza!" Florence greeted from underneath the blanket.
Explode? He couldn't have possibly made them that embarrassed. Surely, Erza was joking. He felt concerned and he didn't want to harm his new friend. The two of them still had so much to do! And a heart explosion would totally interrupt that process.
He peeked out from under the comforter and looked at his new dormmate. Florence smiled a little. "Shou' I tone it down a bit? Y'know, just in case. Don't wanna send ya to the hospital 'cause of a heart explosion."
That'd be £3.95 and your number || Constant & Florence
His eyes kept staring down at the other’s lips. He’s heard that if someone does that they’re sort of asking for a kiss. “Straight to the dorm room, eh?” he smirked then looked down with a soft chuckle. “I wish but no it must wait until later. I’m only on break at the moment. How about after I’m done here I’ll pick you up from your dorm and we’ll go out? To eat or something. Actually no, I have the perfect idea. I’ll text you the time to meet me here.”
Constant bit his bottom lip softly and smiled, “you know. I should probably ask if you have any allergies. I rather not kill you on our first date,” he joked, scrunching his nose slightly. He lifted his gaze and watched the way Florence traced his lip. Constant placed his hands on his knees and leaned forward, closer to the other.
There was a thought in mind to just clear the space between them but that would have been awkward no? They had barely just met. At least on the date he can learn about the other better. That is if Florence agrees and the date goes well. Constant wasn’t a selfish lover or partner. He was giving and caring and usually something hard to come by, no? At least he hoped he was.
"My mother always told me, if you want something you prove it. Not with talking but with actions. Actions speak louder than words, right? I mean my words are just as great. I could tell you that I think your smirk is adorable and your laugh is annoying but cute or that what drew me towards you was the fact that I hadn’t seen someone so damn beautiful in my life as you. That’d all be cheesy though and probably a bit cliched," he sighed softly. "I’ll text ya the deets, doll. See you after work."
Constant was eager. Florence had him exactly where he hoped to. Wonderful. He stopped tracing his lip and licked them, glancing over at Erza. They seemed occupied. Florence definitely wanted to be occupied. Maybe have his hands full. Down, boy. He grinned. Constant kind of talked a lot? He had a few ways in mind to shut him up. So much for taking it slow on a first date. There was something exciting about getting close as soon as he could. Why was he so quickly hot and bothered? Well, mostly hot, the blond wasn't too bothered. He was enjoying himself.
Besides, Constant was leaning in and it was all too inviting not to get closer. Florence remained in his seat, listening to Constant talk. He nodded, agreeing to the sudden date plans. Improvising was one of his favorite things! This was going swell. "No allergies, no worries." What a cutie. Florence could just eat him up.
He wondered what kind of cologne Constant was wearing. He wondered if he could borrow Constant's jacket. He wondered what was under Constant's shirt. He smiled to himself, eyes on his to-be date.
On another note, Florence rarely gave promises. And when he did, he intended to go through with all promises and to fulfill them. A few compliments here and there, that began this flirtation. Definitely dirty thoughts. Florence couldn't exactly pinpoint this sudden sexual desire, but he jumped right in and took Constant's hand, bringing him towards himself. No promises, no declarations.. no certainty.
And when Florence leaned in, holding his right hand behind Constant's neck, there was no promises. There were no vows, there were no declarations, there were no set boundaries, there were no beginnings. No certainty. Improvisation, sudden. Hands. Oh, and when the two of their lips touched? Oh, Florence intended to linger. Sliding his tongue on the space between Constant's front teeth, feeling his breath hitch, mouths close. Touch. Florence used his left hand to feel down Constant's upper arm down to his forearm. Muscly. Florence grinned.
They kissed at a slow pace, that wasn't too difficult to follow, lips overlapping, tongue occasionally touching. Flavors that consisted of a pastry of some sort? It wasn't a strong taste on Constant's tongue, but the texture was promising. Florence's teeth held onto Constant's lower lip and pulled back.
He smiled, detaching from Constant entirely. No touch. No reply to those compliments, the pet name.. Florence glanced at Constant's lips and then back to his eyes. Satisfaction. "We'll finish this later."
That'd be £3.95 and your number || Constant & Florence
The younger male nodded to Florence’s question. He would like that to change, yes. No more new kid. Sure he knew his way around the campus and town already having had had a lot of free time to wander around aimlessly. The wink caught him off guard but only made him smile.
"Gorgeous?" he questioned, licking his lips before a soft chuckle escaped him. Gorgeous it was. Constant blinked then fumbled with the money the male handed him as he opened the cash register and placed them in their designated places. Wasn’t too hard.
"Constant as in my feelings are constant. My brothers call me Stan though or Alek because of my middle name." He pulled the change he owed the male in return and counted it out to him to make sure he got it right.
When his coworker handed him the drinks he pulled out a sharpie writing “Gorgeous” across Florence’s along with the type of drink he ordered. He then wrote “friend” across Erza’s along with their order and handed them to Florence. “It was a pleasure speaking with you, gorgeous.” he smiled and winked.
He watched him walk off and over to his friend, drumming his fingers against the counter gently. Constant glanced down seeing the number. He couldn’t help the smile that spread across his face. The boy took the paper and shoved it into his pocket making a mental note to text him after work, see if he could possibly hang out or something. Or he could always approach him. His break was coming soon. Though wouldn’t it be rude to do that since he was with a friend?
Constant chewed on his bottom lip in thought, his stare was focused on the door, which really wasn’t what he wanted to be looking at but it was. They were particularly slow which was to be expected since, well in his case, students did sleep in often. Teens weren’t very big on mornings.
The male sighed and turned to his co-worker, “I’m going to take my break.” He went to the back and hung up his apron. He started for the door when he paused. Was it smart to do this? For all he knew he could be getting himself into trouble. Oh but trouble was so good looking it was hard not to. Constant pushed himself forward and out from the back room to the customer’s little hang out. Florence still sitting there with his friend, thank the heavens above for that.
He put on his best smile and walked up to them. “Hey gorgeous and uh.. friend. Mind if I borrow Florence for a moment?” He looked at Erza who rolled their eyes and shooed them away. Constant grinned and grabbed Florence’s hand and pulled him up off the couch and to his feet, “thanks!” he threw over his shoulder as he pulled the other male to a corner of the room away from everyone.
Florence and Erza commenced a rather heated discussion. He was rather stubborn on his perspective and intended to not have any persuasion. He sipped his drink. Sat his drink down. Frowned. "Yeah, but toasted bagels taste so much better, Erza!" He huffed. "I just don't understan' how can people eat cold bagels." Scoff. "With cream cheese! What's up with tha-- who--!" And soon Erza was gone, Florence being swooped away. So much for that heated argument. He was guaranteed to win. Not that there was any winning in debate.
Instead, there was a firm hand holding onto his, and his drip coffee abandoned. He wanted to drink that AND he forgot to take a photo of the name written on it to upload to Instagram. Well, shit. Florence guessed that a boy was just as good as likes on an Instagram photo. Plus, this could be an opportunity for cuddling. Wink wink wink.
They sat in the far corner. Notorious for reputation. Florence heard from a friend of his that they got to second base back here. It was probably a lie, but it was a nice thought. Constant seemed awfully eager. Florence hadn't realized what an effect he had on boys. It was a flattering feeling, and he had fun with it. The space between Constant's front teeth was strangely inviting and Florence liked the idea of getting closer. With or without tongue. But he stayed low with a little teasing, distancing.
Florence looked down at their hands, noticing how Constant's hand was still in his. He made eye contact and winked before pulling away his fingers from Constant's. Changing the subject, Florence removed his eyes off of the other's and glanced over at some decorations on the wall. It was hard not to grin. He started off not looking at Constant, but soon returned his gaze halfway through his reply. "Jeez, Constant.. So dominant, yet again!" Florence smirked. "We might as well skip the calls and go straight to my dorm room," he joked with a quick raise of the eyebrows. He eased in his seat, leaning back and bringing a finger to his mouth. Florence traced his bottom lip with the tip of his index finger subconsciously. "Does our first date start now?"
Florence || Dormies
Erza just couldn’t help themselves from giggling at Florence’s reaction. Though, it was difficult to choose if it was cute or just hilarious. The giggling surely stopped when Florence got closer though making their face go red once more. They were sure now that their dormmate had seen the blush.
Their heart skipped a beat, or well felt like it that is the closer he got and their hand shook at their sides slightly. Nervous? Probably. Erza’s nose scrunched when he poked it and they so badly wanted to punch him for being such an ass and screwing with their head. It wasn’t fair. They had just gotten there and already some stupid kid was making them all nervous and weak kneed by joking around with them.
It was the first time anyone had even acted this way around Erza. There was a girl once back in Germany but she never acted anything like Florence was with Erza. Things were going to be different here and they had to remind themselves that but it wasn’t like it helped anyway.
The moment he turned away Erza had let the breath out that they weren’t aware they were holding in. It took them a moment to even settle their heart beat down. They chewed on their bottom lip, tugging their shirt down in hopes it’d cover more than it was. Maybe they could just shrink to the size of a bug and get the hell out of there then they’d be able to calm down but unfortunately that wasn’t capable of doing in the real world.
The teen let a squeak escape them the moment Florence’s body hit their bed. It was just made and it was nice and neat but nope, Florence had to ruin that. “Sleep?” They questioned then glanced around the room for a clock. The sun was still up wasn’t it? Erza sighed and crossed their arms, staring down at their dormmate. “Nozing else? Not efen a little party?”
Red was a nice shade on Erza's face. Nice facial expressions, too. He wondered what other ones he'd get to see. It was nice to spend time with new people when the world seemed too consistent or dragging. Plus, it'd be crazy cool to share clothes with Erza. Especially some of those panties. Maybe he'd ask to borrow them. Mostly as a joke, since both of their waists didn't exactly match up too well. His might be bigger? He guessed. Florence's overall build was scrawny, but he got around easily with his bones. Biking a lot helped too. He kept note to check if he'd fit in the undies.
Whether or not he got a reaction out of Erza, he didn't see, his face full of pillow. Plus Erza might have been having a moment with themselves, you know? Maybe they blushed or wanted to hit him or both or maybe Erza was stone-faced. It was a mystery, with a face pull of pillow.
The bed was pretty cozy, though. The fresh, new, just-moved-mattress with cotton sheets. Cozy. He fake-yawned and turned his head to Erza. "Care ta join me?" Florence adjusted the pillow to support his head and his shimmed himself into a relaxing position on the bed. He grinned, "If not, more space fo' me."
He turned his head the other direction and snored in a exaggerated way that resembled a pig snort. Florence pulled the comforter over his head and tucked it in with his hand, so if Erza tried to steal the blanket, he'd have a grip of it. He laughed softly, successfully taking the bed hostage!!
open rp | let's dress up!!
Today, the sun was shining and there was a small chance of rain. It was a Sunday morning, where you could hear birds chirp obnoxiously close to the window and do-gooders went to do church business. He went sometimes, for the fun of it. He mostly liked to observe people and how some people fell asleep during prayers because they stayed up too long the night before. Partying or reading or who knows what else.
He took his usual morning shower, using a towel to dry off his hair and slipped on a fresh new pair of underwear that had a cute eggplant print. He combed his hair and brushed his teeth and observed his face who any possible blemishes. Eh... well, I hope no one sees...
He twisted his hair in various ways and directions, hoping to create a fitting 'do for the day. He was thinking an updo that had a braid or maybe some sort of twist or... egh. Hairstyles are so complicated. He eventually did a half-assed braid/bun thing temporarily and pranced to his closet for some clothes.
Florence turned to look at his friend in the room. (There can be a reason why the friend is there I'm just too lazy to create a proper intro. Maybe his friend slept over or something.) "So.. what shoul' I wear today...?" Florence asked, putting a finger on his lips, thinking. He turned back to the clothes. "A dress... shorts? Skirt...? I'm thinkin' somethin'.. white.. or maybe a yellow? Or a floral pattern.." He held up a few things to his body and then turned back to his friend in the room. He smiled a little. "What do ya think?"
That'd be £3.95 and your number || Constant & Florence
Constant watched the other walk off and slump down on the couch they had for the customers to sit on. They seemed like a rather grumpy morning person in all honesty here, but constant shrugged it off and turned his attention back to the customer in front of him giving him a smile.
Punching in his order on the register he glanced up at the blond. “Totally new, dude. So you wouldn’t recognize me even if you tried. £3.95, sir.” Of course it was more than that. Constant let a few moments of silence between them pass as Florence was getting the money.
The male tore off some of the receipt paper and slid it across the counter with a pen from his apron, “and your number?” Worth a shot right? Wouldn’t date anyone if you didn’t throw yourself out there, besides it wasn’t like he’d be so upset if the dude just up and denied him. He’s been rejected a few times. Granted that was back in the states but he was in a new place. New places meant new starts. It meant no one really knew you and you could reinvent yourself and Constant was all for that.
He was hoping, though, that he would write his number down. He was hoping that the one he walked in with wasn’t something more than a friend as he stated earlier. Constant was aware that some people would call their significant others a friend when they thought someone to be at least someone attractive or wanted to get into their pants, y’know the whole one night stand thing. Well.. there was even that “I don’t know what we are” kind of thing too so they stick with the friend label.
"We ought ta change that, yeah? We might just turn into familiars," Florence suggested with a casual wink. He pulled out money out of his wallet and handed it to the stranger. Nice arms, Florence thought. He made sure to make eye contact with this new-found brunet.
"Sir, eh? So authoritative. Just call me Florence.. Or if we're getting into really bad flirtation--" He paused and leaned in towards the fairly-attractive stranger. Florence glanced around, then put his eyes back on the barista boy. A twitch of the eyebrow. "--y'can call me 'gorgeous'." He licked his lips, smiling widely. He made a distance between them, standing as opposed to his flirtatious lean. "But just Florence will do nicely." Florence laughed under his breath, hoping to come across as joking. He didn't want to scare barista boy off with this cheesy flirtation. "And what shall I call you?"
He moved some hair out of his face and leaned some of his weight back on the counter. Scanning the cashier's shirt, for a name tag, of course-- but not finding anything. Florence looked around, making sure he wasn't holding up a line. Most students took forever to wake up in the crisp mornings, but hey they surely were missing out on this new piece of eye candy.
And soon, the two orders were called. Drip and Chocolate.. that would be a nice duo name. Florence made a mental note to make best friend t-shirts with Erza. "Nice talking to you," he said to the stranger, smiling one last time and walking off. A piece of paper sat near the register that read 'call anytime xxx' followed by a phone number.
Florence || Dormies
After snagging the underwear from their dormmate, they shoved the cloth into the bag they were emptying. Erza’s face never felt so hot in their life. Did Florence really just ask that? Was he actually serious about the modeling? Boy was this school going to be fun. They tried to laugh it off but their laugh came out more as forced and shaky. Erza rubbed the back of their neck and cocked their head away from Florence in hopes to hide their blush.
"Yeaaah," they dragged on in hopes the amount of time would let them be able to come up with some sort of come back. Play it cool, they told themselves often. "Maybe.. if you let me braid your dumb hair or take me out t’eat." They rolled their eyes, clearing their throat.
Erza actually liked the way Florence’s hair looked. Long, curly, golden locks. Sort of looked like it faded from a soft brown to a light blonde. It was rather messy but nonetheless it looked good on him. Erza caught themselves staring at their dormmate, turning their attention back to the bag in front of them while chewing on their bottom lip.
They took out the rest of the things from the bag, putting them away in the designated places. Clothes in drawer or closet. Bed made; with the help of Florence and fumbling with the sheets a bit. Empty bags stuffed under their bed and jacket flung over the foot of the bed. “M’kay, so nov Zat is done, vhat nov?”
Florence, containing his amusement, casually went back over to the bag that belonged to Erza. He picked up a few more... articles of clothing and put them neatly into their dresser. He took no notice if he had caused any reaction to Erza, who innocently went on to their unpacking. He played oblivious to any embarrassment he could have caused, folding a few tank tops and placing them neatly on top of the dresser. He organized underwear by color and comfort.
"Dumm Haar?" Florence scoffed, trying to show offense by gasping and dropping the piece of clothing he was trying to organize. He dramatically turned to his new dormmate, false accusation in his eyes. "I'd like to think my hair was fairly intelligent. If I was not mistaken, and very much offended, I may just assume that you, Erza Cadera.." He slowly walked toward them, filling up the gap halfway. ".. Have asked me, Florence Plum,..." He stood next to them. Close enough to fill the space, but enough space to breathe. ".... On a date." Florence grinned and then poked the tip of Erza's nose. "But of course, I am mistaken." He then turned away and went back to unpacking Erza's bag.
Soon everything was neatly in the drawer, and the other pieces of clothing were put in the drawer above the one with the well-organized underwear. If he had not flustered Erza before, he definitely hoped he created a new ground of friendship and inside jokes. Embarrassing friends can be fun, when you're the one causing the embarrassment (depending on how severe).
He straightened up the sheets on his bed and set the empty bag near Ezra's bed, putting a few loose hairs behind his ear. "Schlafe?" Florence suggested, flinging his body onto Erza's bed and messing it up. The mattress bounced from the sudden weight. "Guten Nacht." He sprawled all over.
"Is it a crime to be happy?"
"Only sometimes."
"Not too shabby."
"Oh, goodness. Thanks, miss."
"I was afraid that it didn't... suit me, y'know? Plus, it certainly wasn't my first choice."
"Dor-kiss, a soft ‘kuh’ sound."
“Nice to meet ya’, Florence. You from round’ here?”
"Tha' could easily be converted to Do'kus. Dorkus."
"Although 'kiss' sounds a whole lot better. Nice to meetcha too. And not particularly, no. You?"
"I swear to Merlin if someone calls me ‘Dork Ass' one more time—”
"I’m going to bloody lose it.”
"Tha's a bit of a rude nickname. Could ya clarify th' pronunciation, though?"
"I wouldn't want ta mispronounce.. 'M Florence, by th' way."
