“Okay, explain something to me…” Bob mused out loud to the person beside him, as he slumped on his seat, a bag of groceries by his feet. “How exactly can five loaves of bread, three jars of peanut butter, two large tubs of mayonnaise and a whole poultry farm of eggs be entirely consumed within three days?”
Thumper scrunched up his nose in disgust. “How many kids do you have? Twelve? I don’t think me and my sisters even eat that much and there’s six of us.” In all honesty, he really had no idea how much food they consumed and thinking about it would probably make him feel a little bad for his parents. So he didn’t. “Do you think someone in your family is giving food to other people?”

John grumbled a bit as he watched the figure walk past his boat for about the 7th time in the past twenty minutes. It was a rather cool day, and with nothing much to do he’d taken to people watching. It was honestly one of his favorite pastimes. Grumbling himself from his comfy leather chair, he walked over toward the edge of his boat. Leaning on the awning on the back of his boat, he cleared his throat when they walked past again. “You keep walking like that you’re going to wear a whole into the dock. What’s got you so nervous.”
Ttaelim had been waiting for someone to pay attention to him for the longest time. Why did everyone have to be so caught up in what they were doing that they weren’t giving him the attention he deserved? When he finally heard a voice, it took all of his acting skills to keep the satisfied grin off of his face. Instead, he dramatically threw his hands up and turned to face John with a look of pure despair on his face. “I’m so bored!” He exclaimed, voice loud enough to scare a nearby seagull. “All my friends want to be lazy, why do they wanna be lazy? It’s summer!”
okay, maybe ella had had a LITTLE too much to drink at this party considering, within the last half an hour, she’d seemingly lost a shoe. how ? she certainly couldn’t tell you. “ oh god, ” the blonde chastised herself, darting through crowds swelling at the party, slipping through the gaps with minimal stumbling ( somehow she was more graceful with a few drinks in her than without ) to try & find her shoe. & after a good few moments, she found it at exactly the same moment another person did. “ i can explain, ” she said, looking up to the other with a sheepish grin. “ would you believe me if i said i danced TOO hard ? ”
Thumper eyed the blonde up and down with a judgmental look on his face. One could think it was related to the fact that he’d very nearly tripped over the shoe in question, but truth was that, well, that was just who he was. Though he wasn’t much of a party person (surprisingly, but he didn’t like it when music was too loud for him to get people to listen to him), he’d been enjoying himself well enough. “That’s what they have those shoes with straps for, don’t they?” He responded, eyes squinting against the lights. He may or may not have been guilty of underage drinking and acting like he was sober proved a lot more difficult than he thought, even for someone with as much theater experience as himself. “It’s juice.” He said automatically as he remembered the cup in his hand.
just one more step, yes, perfect. carole stared intently at the person in front of her and broke the silence. “someone died in the exact same spot you’re standing right now.”
Ttaelim didn’t blink, though his heart was racing in his chest. “What?” He tried to sound as casual as possible as he broke the eye contact and looked down at his feet. Though he was acting tough, he couldn’t deny he felt a little uncomfortable. Still, stepping away would admit defeat, wouldn’t it? “I bet you just made that up,” He then continued, looking up again and defiantly raising a brow. “I’m not scared.”

Michael listened to the other talk, nodding his head. He was open to any and all advice to try and improve his acting skills, knowing from experience that practice makes perfect; he just wasn’t lucky enough to be able to spend the brunt of his time on acting. “Got it… As long as you get the gist of the lines and the other actors do too, it should work? I mean, I get you shouldn’t get too far off, but if the emotions are good then the words don’t have to be perfect?” he repeated, almost making sure he was understanding correctly. “I know what you mean.. It just wouldn’t be the same life without Wendy or John,” he nodded, “At least I’ve got John.. I couldn’t imagine being the only boy,” he mused, trying to picture his life differently and failing. “Yeah? Good, although I can’t promise some won’t end up on ebay when the time comes,” he teased, grinning over at the other. “Well. If acting doesn’t work out maybe you should look into motivational speaking! Or sew little sayings into pillows…” he offered, although the other would probably make it much farther in the acting world than himself.
Ttaelim nodded, smiling widely. “And if you feel like that’s scary, you can always just only try to use it during rehearsals. In my experience, people love it when you improvise and use that to get a better feeling of your character. I’m sure you can do it. It’s not that hard.” The brunet had a habit of making things sound easy when they weren’t -- when he knew they weren’t -- because he liked sounding smart and casual about stuff. He wasn’t aware, however, of the fact that it sometimes made him sound arrogant or belittling. “I love my sisters, I do. They just get loud or they gang up on me, you know? But it has also made it a lot easier for me to talk to girls.” He grinned as he playfully nudged the other. “Hey, you can’t just sell it! I’ll make sure to write a personal message so no one else will be interested in buying it.” He bluffed, barely managing to keep a straight face. “Why, you think you’re gonna need the money?” Thumper raised a brow and exhaled slowly. “Boy, those things sound boring. Just talking for a living? I don’t think I’d wanna do that. And sewing is for girls.”
“I di-di-didn’t mean to read the article. I didn’t realize it was a scary story website. The ti-title made it seem– seem– it sounded important. N-n-now I’m a little jit-jit-jittery. I think I’ll be okay, though?”
“Everything is better with sprinkles.” Thumper assured Peggy as he pushed the ice cream cup in their direction, encouraging them to eat it. He’d admittedly be a little worried if they didn’t -- the pink strawberry ice cream looked extra delicious with the rainbow colored sprinkles that decorated the top. “Of course you’ll be okay. I don’t know what kind of story you read, but I’m kind of an expert on fiction and that’s all it is. People with creative minds trying to fuel other people’s needs for scary stories.” He offered the other a smile. “We can do something else after, to take your mind off of things?”
frzelsa:
“Anna’s always been a very passionate person. She thinks with her heart not with her head. We’re polar opposites in that respect. Its one of her greatest strengths and her greatest weaknesses.” Elsa admitted, “But I can’t control how she feels. All I can do is control how I respond and I’m trying… I’m trying so hard to provide the correct response.” The blonde nodded, “Thank you for listening through all this. I know it’s… it’s dramatic.”
“Well, then it’s not your fault that she took things the wrong way and you shouldn’t beat yourself up over it. You can’t always be walking on eggshells so you won’t hurt her feelings. Emotional people will find a way to get their feelings hurt either way,” Ttaelim replied with a shrug, before taking another bite of the bread. “I’m personally not the greatest with emotions, though I know how to express them in acting and stuff.” He admitted. “Dramatic is my thing, though.” He then added with a grin.
lloydorangeboar:
“not to be offensive, but linda is completely one of those basic names that i suspect this guy. i mean, he may be old, but he seems like he’s into the basic type, you know what i’m saying ?” lloyd chuckled. he could have said more, but he decided to hold back his strong opinion in mercy of those around him. he thought for a second at thumper’s question, “marriage. maybe one day but i’m not sure how likely it’ll be in my future. i feel like my parents got lucky with each other, you know ? they found just the right type of person. i’m afraid that it won’t be that easy with me,” he rambled slightly, but he didn’t always find himself to be the most agreeable person. “if i get married five times, i’m going to personally ask you to just take every single ring from my view !” he shrugged, “i’m going to say yes. or maybe i’m just letting my friends influence me a little too much. has your summer been so interesting that you haven’t resorted to gossip ?”
Thumper let out a snort. “Basic names make you suspicious? Is that what you’re saying? He tilted his head, not wanting to show that he was just a little bit confused. “Well, my mama always reminds me that it’s important not to be looking for a person, because you will find them eventually. Like fate? But looking for a person is a lot easier in our generation, you know? We can make some profile online with our interests and stuff and it’s easier to find someone who’s into all that. We don’t even have to leave the town, we could find our soulmate who lives in a whole different country! Isn’t that cool? Why do you think it won’t be easy for you?” Ttaelim rambled, though he wasn’t entirely sure if it would be very easy for him, either. After all, he was too busy lying to himself and everyone around him. “Five times? I’ll stop you at three!” He was quick to exclaim, his eyes widening slightly as he considered the scenario. “I’ll personally come kick your door down. I have very strong legs.” He added, nodding furiously, though his energy fell slightly at the question about his own summer. “I mean, there’s a lot to do, you know? Friends to hang out with, adventures to go on...” He trailed off. Did he really have all that? Not really, but he wasn’t a stranger to bluffing. “I don’t mind gossip, though. Gossip about a guys fifth marriage is a bit boring, however.”

guess who’s back from the dead? (well, kind of anyway). I’m gonna pull myself together with the help of my pinterest board that I made for Thumper and hit the starter tag. I’ll be dropping replies to my original starter that I wrote like... over a month ago (pffft), because... yeah. also I’ve been trying to keep up with following new members but please lmk if I missed anyone?? alsO if anyone wants to write with my baby bun, please please please message me, I’m horrible at human interaction, even over the internet, but Thumper wants everyone to be his friend and he’s ready to murder me.
anyway, i love this rp a lot
“No, no, you press A to jump! Watch out for th-- Noooo!” Thumper’s constant yelling (or as he would like to call it; helping) probably wasn’t helping one bit as he tried to guide his friend through the tutorial section of the game he had planned to play with her today. He wouldn’t call himself the best at video games (or maybe he would, just because he could), because they tended to bore him if he had to play them alone. And people usually yelled at him for being too obnoxious in Overwatch voice comms, but that was a different story. He was just helping.
The boy let out a long, dramatic groan and all but snatched the controller out of Missy’s hands. “Jump, attack, dodge, special ability.” He pointed out the buttons as he spoke, taking a deep breath and letting his body relax a little. “I’m sorry,” He then apologized, slowly handing the device back to his friend. “I get a little heated over video games.” Ttaelim awkwardly scratched the back of his neck, smiling sheepishly. “We can do something else, I didn’t mean to yell.” @mssbunny
