To explain! reblogs are sort of like a friendly pat on the back and a “yea keep going! , i sent some people your way!” when we’re exhausted, tired, and spent so long on a project!, a like is nice. and i wont ding it, but, seeing my art shared around just. it makes me feel appreciated. and like my work is worth it! its a motivation thing, and also helps you support the artist, and can help the artist, get things like Commisions! so you help us out and it means a ton!

Wild that this post has so many notes, and people STILL DON’T KNOW HOW TO USE THE REBLOG BUTTON. Like it’s not that hard to support your favorite artists/blogs in general. A like and a reblog. The more notes a post gets, the more that post is promoted on the tag searches, the recommended posts, etc. so that artist can grow. And you can give them more exposure so people who follow you, may go and support them too.

And there’s this little button you can turn off to help the small blogs you follow;

With this setting enabled, you will not see their posts at all unless the notes of the posts are high enough. Which not only makes it inconvenient for you by making you go through each profile to check for new posts, but it also makes it so that small blogs aren’t ever seen by their followers. PLEASE TURN OFF THAT SETTING. There was a mass PSA about it when the feature was originally put in because it was killing off small blogs. If you want to support your small blogs, TURN IT OFF.
