Spanglish word of the day:
Today, once again, I encountered the highly off-putting situation that I've had to face many times over as a corporate Latino. For some reason, unbeknownst to me, my colleagues feel the need to over-pronounce my name, and any Spanish sounding word in an attempt to make me feel more welcomed. I speak English perfectly fine, so thank you for trying to get me to understand what you are saying. I do. Don't need for you to speak louder, or slower, or make faces, I get what you are saying. Thank you.

One of the many benefits of growing up in Latin America is that you get exposed to all sorts of comedy. Some not intentional, like badly translated audio tracks on my favorite TV shows fro example.
Look what I found @chunkymunky80 Awesome #swag from your #SpikeTV days. #cool #vga awards #videogames

Hangover Guilt
Many businesses host some kind of event or gathering that supplies alcohol to its guests, what they don't tell you is that this "free" booze comes at a very high cost to your sanity.
An acquaintance of mine has a cousin who knows this guy who is related to a brother of a mid level employee. This employee, and for the purposes of this story let's call him James. This is a made up name, I can't remember the guy. Anyways, James was invited to a very prominent company party attended by the most important executives of the company. He's not shy, but add in some beer muscles and he becomes a dangerous person to be around. As you might of guessed, I was the victim to his drunken stampede, I stood by as a night of professional networking became a very awkward and uncomfortable experience. At least, that is what I thought. Eye witness accounts tell me I did nothing stupid.
And therein lies the problem, the uncertainty of it all. I partook in drinking a little past what I should of in front of people that can fire me. But I was having so much fun. So much so that sections of the night are now a mystery to me. Puzzle pieces that are forever lost with my brain cells that drowned in gin and tonics.
The feeling of not knowing what you did or said transforms into a crippling guilt that lasts the whole weekend. I stopped myself from emailing my supervisors to see what kind of reaction I would receive. My better judgement told me not to. I wanted to play the waiting game, allow time to serve as my memory assassin and eliminate whatever recall of my retarded behavior lingering in their minds. Long story short, may this serve as a warning.
Don't drink in front of your boss.

I'm a Child of the 80s/90s so this video made me feel like a kid again. Nice one Microsoft, very nice. (by internetexplorer)
You thought #Gangnamstyle was done? I brought it back at #SMWNYC #SMW13. So far the best swag of the week.
This is why I love working with people that like me. They hook me up with awesome stuff, like this antique radio for example. It's going to look really cool in my home-office.

I'm honestly not trying to be political but this picture is awesome.
Who doesn't enjoy a dance battle. The way I see it, it's better to wiggle your bum than to punch someone in the face. Most dance club jealousy disputes are resolved on the dance-floor, not in the street. Everyone knows that. The two gentleman in this video certainly have moves like jagger.
