As much as I often feel podcasts might have broadened the range of voices and stories I listen to I have always wondered how naive a perception that is given how bound they are by language. 

Unlike the written word a podcast (for the most part) is also a performance and one I don’t feel totally open to translating and re-recording - but I have to admit I’d never considered the potential of podcasts to be a sub-titled medium.

Camille Walala’s miniature golf designs for London Design Festival’s proposed course is a thing of beauty. I’m also into the sound of Ordinary Architecture’s pigeon digestive tract hole. I’m such a sucker for mini-golf (and pretty much all things miniature). 

The project is currently raising funds on Kickstarter - although I must admit to feeling pretty strange having backed it. This is the first time I’ve ever supported a Kickstarter feeling no sense of patronage or ‘support’ to the project or its creators. This was purely a pre-purchase. There’s definitely guilt there, which has made me more aware of the emotional expectations I didn’t fully realise I had of the platforms and the projects on it. hm.
