science benefits from newer and younger minds with fresh ideas. I don’t know Why no institutions ever give me access to their reading material on thylacine science.
my thylacine hyperfixation also kind of fizzled out after i read and studied pretty much everything out there that i don’t need to be in a university to gain access to. I believe that you shouldn’t need to be some high class person with 12 years of schooling to be considered a professional at things ESPECIALLY science … that’s why you don’t ever see new people in these fields. The older generation of high class snobs are blocking out people who are genuinely interested from learning :-(
I’ve been pretty busy in my personal life and i haven’t had much time to research and study like i used to. I’m currently attending a summer school because I’m too autistic for regular highschool (RIP) and I’ve been trying to buy a car. Here’s a photo i took yesterday of my mouse plush, bluebell, in my nana’s garden. :-)

i am back after yet another unplanned break. Hello
Behold, my jar o' joeys!
(I sometimes have these babies for sale over here, if you desire a sweet little thylacine joey of your very own!)
Tiggy posting thylacine art in 2026?! more likely than you think. Anyways, this is an art trend on twitter right now and it reminded me of a certain tragic animal.
this could be the snart of something big
this could be the snort of something pig
i beg to sniffer
A beautiful older picture of specimen NRM A56 6599… a wet specimen doe from 1884.
Here she is today taken out of her jar for the ITSD(which i still can’t find -_-) but she is regarded as the best preserved specimen to date.
I can’t find a date or author for the older picture unfortunately so if anyone can please tell me :-)
This is a 3-D scan of NRM A56 6599, highly regarded as “the best preserved” of only 5 adult thylacine wet specimens in the world.
She, a doe, was captured somewhere in Tasmania in the year 1882. She was on display at the London Zoo from the 14th of November 1884 to April the 2nd, 1893. She was originally purchased by a Dr. A. Bingham Crowther of Launceston, from the Zoological Society of London.
She is currently in the collection of the Swedish Museum of Natural History in Stockholm
I’d have more information here but for some reason all of the information on this pretty lady is about genome sequencing and other bullshit, so here’s to hoping colossal biosciences doesn’t get their greedy hands on her and damage her for her DNA.
oh and happy pride month! it’s been just over a year since i came out as nonbinary and socially transitioned.
baby cats very cute
All the machine sewing on the giant rat is done!
Still a ways to go lol
Apparently it’s creepy when someone walks in as I’m sewing and the stuffed animal body is standing on its own, headless
In my defense I am currently working on sewing the head lol
(also yes this is smaller than the pattern it’s not the pattern’s fault my printer is being unhelpful when it comes to scale)
Omg i never posted them. yay okay so this is Lovelace the rat (they/them) and they’re my latest creation. I made the pattern myself and hand sewed them out of an old sweater i bought at the thrift store. They’re fully posable with jointed limbs and they’re about 20 inches tall. open the cut for the free pattern!!
Thank you so much for this pattern!! This is Pyrite the Pi-rat (they will have a pirate outfit next time I go upstairs)
I had some printer issues that meant the scale was weird so Pyrite is about 13 inches tall when standing and the buttons for their button joints are gears
sorry for the late response but wow!! I’m so glad you enjoyed the pattern! you blew it out of the park with this one!
