I wear authentic steel boned corsets to help relieve back pain, get rid of major headaches and also to help with my menstrual cramps. I do waist train, and look to go down to about 18 inches again. I’ve been waist training for 3 years and researching about corsets for just about 4. I’ve written academic papers, and blog posts about it. Corsets have significantly changed me to better myself and become a functioning member of society. BUT PLEASE NOTE corsets and waist training isn’t for everyone. This is a very time consuming, diligent form of body modification. You NEED to research and to consult with your physician about it, because if you don’t know what you’re doing you can easily hurt yourself. Those rubber “waist trainers” are not the same, they do not feel the same nor do they provide the same effect that an authentic steel boned corset, fit to your measurements, will.
