Hey guys, I hate to do this but if you can help at all I would appreciate it so much.

As some of you know, I moved across the country to go to college this August. I’m entirely here on scholarships, loans, and a small trust fund. My family has never had it easy when it comes to money. My mom is a single mom, and has had little to no support. I’m now 3,000 miles away from home, so I was under no delusions that I would be able to visit home regularly, but I was expecting to be able to make the trip home for my 6 weeks of Christmas break and interterm. It would mean so much to me to be able to spend that time with my family and friends, but as of right now it looks like we won’t have the money to fly me home for Christmas. I’m not sure what I’ll do if I’m not able to go home, as I can’t stay in my dorm. I’m looking to raise about $900 for a flight from CA to MA, a train or bus ride to VT, and a flight to CA from VT. If you can do anything to help, even if it’s just sharing this with your followers, I would be so grateful.

All the clones are not allowed to ever play any fps video games ever again because they get way too competitive and are UNREALISTICALLY GOOD. Like their reflexes are amazing and they are very tactically minded so in a way they take it all way too seriously. Game nights between the 501st and the 212th are usually for bragging rights and inter-squad games are to decide who takes certain shitty duties sometimes. When they play team fps they really do act as a team and usually have the maps memorized to make orders easier.

Anakin didn’t believe the rumors when he heard so he came to a game night between the 501st and the 212th and gets fucking SERVED.

He flashed her a wry grin, eyebrows bouncing up for half a moment as he dropped his arms to his side, “I never said anything about forgetting, ma’am. Just that I might not be the best person to ask.”  A memory of one particular mission on Yavin with General Ti flashed across his vision - where he had thrown every protocol out the window and left his comm at base. The General had been furious when he returned, covered in dirt and other grime, but grinning victoriously with a loaded datastick in his possession.  He spared a moment in his thoughts to watch quietly as the young Commander knelt down. Jedi, he thought as he shook his head, They always have some other trick up their sleeve. The moment provided a good opportunity to take a second and really look at the girl. She was a lithe little thing, crimson red and quite small, but she walked with lighter feet than most Jedi did and moved with a grace he had only seen a few times before in his life.  Definitely a Jedi to keep an eye on.  “There might be some,” He said with a nod to a camera just down the hall, “Gettin’ security clearance will take hours, though. If we’re lucky.” He smoothed two fingers down his beard, brows furrowed in though as an idea crossed his mind.  “How set are you on following protocol?”

“Well, you could be at yours too...” That was the moment he felt his stomach drop out from in him. He froze mid-motion, mouth slightly open in his confusion. Great. Way to go. Insult the big time news anchor and accuse her of being easy.  Chester: 0 Universe: 1 “No! No, that’s not what I was saying at all! I thought you were into him, not that you couldn’t get him if you wanted, I mean---”  He sighed, dropping his face into his hands, “That’s not at all what I was implying, Miss. My apologies.”

Star Wars universe soldiers and their superstitions, though

We all know the Jedi have their beliefs about life and death and their ghosts remaining in the Force to guide the living. 

But what about others?

Imperial stormtroopers tucking prayer cards under their armor imploring any and all galactic deities to protect them - on planetside drops, on ship-boarding missions, or just in the halls of the Executor to protect them from a slow gasping death from an invisible hand.

People who swear Tarkin’s ghost haunts the halls of the second Death Star and that his lingering outside Jerjerrod’s quarters is slowly driving the younger Moff to insanity.

Clone cadets who tell stories of brothers - ‘bad’ ones with vision that blurred when they tried to focus or who limped and stumbled when they ran - who vanished in the night and whose little ghosts still wander the halls of Kamino’s facilities. The sounds of their footsteps and cries all seem to lead to a locked door in an area that even the big ARCs won’t go near. (All cultures have their child-abducting monsters - some were just much realer than others.)

Pilots who hear the voices of the dead coming from their comms, warning them to turn or spin or dodge the bolt that will kill them - sometimes too late.

Sightings of rebel commandos and scout troopers racing each other through the high canopy on Endor decades after the battle was done, speederbikes and camouflage and white armor flickering with luminescence that no living being possesses.

First Order troopers who have never seen Phasma un-armored seeing her as more deity than soldier, their Mother Mary with a blaster rifle. The propaganda posters of her take on the cast of Orthodox icons with offerings of scraps of charred Resistance insignia and stolen guns laid on a shelf under it.

Lost and wounded ships, imperial and Rebel alike, with limping hyperdrives and failing life supports being flanked by squadrons of battered TIEs and X-wings with unresponsive comm channels whose numbers only seem to swell as the ship’s crews slowly succumb to death.

Clonetroopers who comfort grieving brothers with the tale that they’ve just gone on Eternal Leave and that someday they’ll all reunite with their brothers long gone to the barracks beyond the veil, and they will at last know a life beyond the war they were bred to fight.

Just, give me all the superstitions and folk religion that would develop in a world with so much war and so many soldiers to fight them.
