Term starts today. (Started today?)
I’m doing my master’s thesis. The final 20 weeks of schoolwork before I get my degree. It’s a bit unbelievable.
I’ve been struggling a lot lately with motivation and actually doing my work when I should be doing it. I’m hoping to turn my mindset around now that I’m finally approaching the finish line.
To be perfectly honest, though, I’m slightly worried that it’s the finish line which is bothering me. The real world is scary. I need to start looking for a job in a month or so. Meanwhile school is comfortable, safe.
Well, today I was not very productive but oh well. It’s still the first day. Forgive, learn and improve, I suppose.
I can’t help but wonder if I’m going to have to guilt myself into working the whole semester...
my first ever study vlog!!! please watch it, like it and comment *if you want* !! it was really fun to make so if this one does well i'll definitely do other study vlogs!
Am I going back to school just to use beautiful stationery again? Who’s to say... but I’m ready for class now for the first time in 4 years.
Day -28
It’s less than a month left till the semester starts. If all goes according to plan I will be flying to Tokyo in 3.5 weeks.
I’m still waiting on my certificate of eligibility before I can apply for a visa, but it’s been posted and should arrive this week. Everything should actually be fine.
So blown away by the light on this campus

Day -55
So for my exchange semester in Tokyo I’m currently waiting for my Certificate of Eligibility, which I need in order to get my visa. I really need to have the certificate by like March 3rd or something like that, which means time is starting to get a little bit tight... I just really hope I get it in time... don’t know what I’ll do if I don’t.

here’s a November spread of a really busy week featuring one of my fav quotes —
currently crisis-ing over how much i don’t want to do my assignment. i don’t know why i’m nopeing so hard
✨19.12.2019 // creative writing is taking up most of my time right now, it’s interesting to challenge myself to write in different ways but I’m still enjoying it immensely. I may have to work through the holiday to catch up but hey ho (ho, ho - geddit). Hope everyone is dealing with end of year stress well ✨
2020 is definitely going to be a defining year for me. I’m going to be living on my own for the first time in my life, and on the other side of the planet, at that.
This will be such an adventure for me, and I’m hoping to really grow as a person and get to know myself not just in relation to other people.
After that I’ll be going into my final year of grad school, and that just feels unreal.
First of all, though, I’m going to have about 2.5 months without school, before I go abroad, and I’m really hoping to use that time productively. I’ve been feeling really inspired about game development lately, so I want to keep working on that. I have high hopes!
isn’t this sad? I’m very good at starting books, not so much at finishing them (this is also not all the books I’m currently reading)
