Best of The Kills video masterpost (part1)
I did a Dead Weather video masterpost before (to be exact I did 3) and it came to my mind I haven't done any for The Kills (shame on me), so it's time. First of all, these are my favorites and these are just live shows for part 1. So for new fans and for myself not in order:
1. The Kills - Live Eurockéennes full show.
This is one of my favorite Kills live videos ever. If you loved the Ash & Ice album this is for you. Heart of a Dog, Impossible Tracks, Whirling Eye are so good here. Also ideal if you would like to watch Alison do a somersault onstage. :D
2. The Kills 31/05/05 Bordeaux full show
You have to watch it from the beginning to the end, it’s from 2005. This is exactly that kind of one hour concert, that I would show anyone who doesn’t know this band yet, or only knows their new stuff. I hate the way you love is so good here. "Sexual Voodoo" included.
3. The Kills Performing at "La Tulipe" May 9th 2009 full show
One of the hottest Kills gigs ever. If you don't fall for Jamie Hince after this I don't know what to say... He owned that stage (and Alison) like crazy from Now Wow 'til the end. Alison's face in that moment when Jamie jumps off the stage is just a bonus. :D
4. The Kills - La Musicale Live (2016) full show
The second best Ash & Ice era concert in a tv studio with cars and them performing on top of the cars at some point. Aestethic is on point too not just the music.
5. The Kills - Dropout Boogie Live
What can I say? "Sexual Voodoo" steals the show.
6. The Kills "Tape Song" - Heineken Open'er Festival 2012 - LIVE
Probably one of the best live versions of Tape Song. Alison is really killing it here. Btw this whole show was so strong but I can't find a good quality full show video footage from it. :/ Anyway here's No Wow from the same show.
7. The Kills performing "The Last Goodbye" on KCRW at SXSW
Ignore Jamie being goofy with the other guy, meanwhile Alison is crying during singing Last Goodbye and the comments are pointing at Jack White.
8. The Kills - The Last Goodbye
Another Last Goodbye moment. Alison was about to cry at the end of the song, and suddenly a girl showed up on the stage and gave her a big hug! I like Alison’s reaction, she quickly signed something for somebody, and then she had to go and hug Jamie, because she still didn’t know what to do with that love she got from the fans.
9. The Kills 'alphabet pony' live '09 magic stick
Can we talk about that hair pull? I love this song a lot as simple as it is.
10. The Kills - club 3voor12 (2005)
This is not the best quality from 2005 but captures the essence of this band quite well. Can we talk about "Sexual voodoo" again at the end? Jamie really played the guitar on Alison. :D
