I was raised by women. I, too, considered myself a good guy and felt scorned when I was told, “you’re sweet but I only see you as a friend.” Listen to these women when they say they want good guys. They want nice guys. However, there’s a stark contrast between an assertive guy who is nice and a pushover. Learn yourself and what you want. State what you want. Be direct. Be vulnerable, if the moment allows. Be open. You don’t have to say ‘yes’ or ‘whatever is okay with me’ to everything. No woman wants a yes man or an indecisive ass nigga.
These hood niggas only get a one up on you because they at least try and swing for the fences. You, on the other hand, have higher expectations because you have a degree, car, semi-nice paying job. For example, the last first date I’ve been on was an improv show and some drinks at the bar. It wasn’t crazy fancy or expensive ($30 excluding tip). But it gave her the impression that I’m creative and chill and I didn’t set a standard that I couldn’t keep up with. Guess what happened later? She asked me when can we hang out again. Mind you, I’m not balling. I have 3 jobs and I’m still trying to get my shit together. Meanwhile, you looking like Captain Below Average thinking that Netflix and Chill first dates are appropriate after college. Women aren’t impressed by Applebee’s anymore, yet you want her to have a pretty face, thick, have her life together, ride good dick, cook and cater to you? Fuck outta here. Step your game up.
