Generally it took me about 10 months to lose the 75 pounds, and since then I’ve just been enjoying living a healthier life at a healthier weight. Exercise
My exercise regimen consists of going to the gym 5 times a week at 5:30am for an hour.
I do weight training Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and cardio on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
For weight training, I’ve been doing this routine.
For cardio, I’ve taken up a spinning class at the gym.
Diet
I’m not on “a diet”. I understand what I should eat and what I should avoid to be healthy.
My main philosophy is still to eat mostly veggies, lean meats, some fruit, some healthy grains. Everything else is like a condiment, or just eaten sparingly.
I still avoid processed, refined and sugary foods.
My BMR is still at about 2200 calories per day. If I eat that much, I tend to stay at my same weight. Higher I gain a little, lower I lose. If I’m in doubt about how much I’m currently eating, I use MyFitnessPal for a few days.
I do try new recipes and endeavor to make eating healthy a fun challenge.
My family is good with our current balance of eating healthy. To avoid all-out rebellion we still order pizza for the kids when my wife and I go out on our weekend dates. And we do have our occasional treats.

Looking good!!
Totally enjoying not having to worry about homework for the rest of the summer. Going to start taking my exercise seriously again! If you want to help keep me motivated, add my snap and we can send each other pictures of our food and work outs like cool kids ahaha. I'm a Pisces, this is a very accurate depiction of our daily lives
if we being honest, rihanna doesn’t seem like the best person to text in a crisis
I feel like she’s the type to text back 5 hours later like “you good? 👀”
After a couple of frustrating and somewhat discouraging weeks, I am more than happy to announce that the additional exercise I’ve been adding in and healthy eating habits I’ve been striving to make my routine have caught up and paid off in a 3.8lbs loss on the scale this week! ^_^
That brings my grand total of weight loss to 90lbs! I feel so wonderful and so very proud of myself. I also had a bit of a rough week (there was a death in the family) but I made it through and did NOT emotionally eat, despite the temptation. I’ve come a long way, in more than just lbs, and I’m so much happier. Just gotta keep it up. 10lbs more to my personal goal, and then I think it might be time to set my lifetime goal! Exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time! ;D
At age 23, Tina Fey was working at a YMCA. At age 23, Oprah was fired from her first reporting job. At age 24, Stephen King was working as a janitor and living in a trailer.
At age 27, Vincent Van Gogh failed as a missionary and decided to go to art school. At age 28, J.K. Rowling was a suicidal single parent living on welfare.
At age 28, Wayne Coyne ( from The Flaming Lips) was a fry cook. At age 30, Harrison Ford was a carpenter. At age 30, Martha Stewart was a stockbroker. At age 37, Ang Lee was a stay-at-home-dad working odd jobs. Julia Child released her first cookbook at age 39, and got her own cooking show at age 51. Vera Wang failed to make the Olympic figure skating team, didn’t get the Editor-in-Chief position at Vogue, and designed her first dress at age 40. Stan Lee didn’t release his first big comic book until he was 40. Alan Rickman gave up his graphic design career to pursue acting at age 42. Samuel L. Jackson didn’t get his first movie role until he was 46.
Morgan Freeman landed his first movie role at age 52. Kathryn Bigelow only reached international success when she made The Hurt Locker at age 57. Grandma Moses didn’t begin her painting career until age 76. Louise Bourgeois didn’t become a famous artist until she was 78. Whatever your dream is, it is not too late to achieve it. You aren’t a failure because you haven’t found fame and fortune by the age of 21. Hell, it’s okay if you don’t even know what your dream is yet. Even if you’re flipping burgers, waiting tables or answering phones today, you never know where you’ll end up tomorrow. Never tell yourself you’re too old to make it.
Never tell yourself you missed your chance.
Never tell yourself that you aren’t good enough.
You can do it. Whatever it is.

Who’s got the moves!
Transformation Tuesday! My college formal three years ago vs looking for a dress for it now. Almost 80 pounds difference! I’ve been struggling with my new lifestyle recently, but this motivates me to keep on working for it.
I’m ‘190lbs’ in both photos, think of that what you will.
@lovehealthlift :)
HI!
For some reason I have gotten a buttload of new followers notifications through email so thought I’d quickly update seeing as I don’t use this anymoreeeee.
I’m still losing. Slowly. But losing. I’m -56kg now (123lbs). I have about 13kg to go until I’m at my ~ultimate goal~ of being under 100kg which will put me under 30% body fat and in a healthy BMI weight range (even though my fucks towards BMI are zero). Once I get to that weight I’ll decide if I want to keep losing or just maintain. I haven’t ever been ‘healthy’ so we’ll see what happens 💪🏻
I’ll probably be MIA again now on this so follow me on gram if you give a shit 💩💩😁✌🏻️✌🏻✌🏻 @laurajade
