*Now, there are definitely tears. Happy tears, but tears all the same.* Thank goodness.

*Wanda grins, laughing as Pietro picks her up and spins her. She is very glad for the hug, for a second, it feels like home again.*

*lets her go, then looks to the older Wanda* Do you need to gather anything that is here? If you do not, then we could leave now. Get you out of this dead city. Everyone will be glad to see you again, sister.

*Wanda nods, reciprocating. Tears are prickling her eyes.* I’m more than okay. Brother, I can go home.

*To the other Wanda.* I gave you my magic. For now, anyway. Not all of it, but enough to burn away the entity. And to beat Sentry.

*She smiles at the sight of the alternate timeline’s twins. It’s still more than a little surreal.*

I’m still not sure I can do this, but, thank you. Really.

*for a moment, he's not certain her heard correctly* *a look of disbelief crosses his face* You can come home?

*hugs her tighter* You can come home.

*the he lets her go, and the next thing the younger Wanda knows is that Pietro is picking her up in a hug and spinning her around* *sets her down and hugs her tightly* Thank you.

*Pietro hears the noise from outside of the room and in an instant he is pounding on the door* Wanda! Wandas! Are you all right? What is going on, are you okay -

*Without really thinking, Wanda waves at the door. It glows, and swings open on squeaky hinges.*

We’re fine, brother. But, she’s— I fixed it. *She sounds somewhat incredulous.*

*To her older self.* What did you do?

*stares at both of them, then sprints over to his timeline's Wanda* You're all right? You're really okay? *hugs her* *because he can*

Earth CS2: Long and Winding Road

*Wanda says nothing, closing her eyes and manifesting her chaos magic. The second it sparks to life, she can feel it. Pure, unadulterated chaos, dark and vastly powerful.*

*It is darker than her normal magics, and has attached quite thoroughly to this timeline’s Wanda. Slowly, gingerly, she pictures flame, letting the magic flock to the entity.*

*As her younger self works, she can feel the entity reacting. In an attempt to resist, it’s feeding off of her.*

Oh no you don’t. *Her own magic wanes, and she channels it into the younger Wanda.*

The chaos entity, without a source to feed on, is getting rapidly weak.* Now Wanda, now!

*At her older self’s heeding, Wanda gives everything she can, incinerating the creature.*

*With a bang, like a gunshot, and a violent tremor, the two women fly apart, the force knocking her from her chair.*

What happened? *Power pours over her hands, strong and controlled, more to play with. It’s almost how it felt before this whole mess started.*

*She looks half surprised, half jubilant.* We did it. No, you did it.

*Wanda sits back down on the cot, shaking slightly.* It’s definitely gone. I can’t believe it. After all the time I spent looking for a way to fix this… You’re amazing, Wanda. Truly.

*Pietro hears the noise from outside of the room and in an instant he is pounding on the door* Wanda! Wandas! Are you all right? What is going on, are you okay -

Oh? *Gives him a dubious look.* I have the feeling you were not happy about some of that. And that I know what she wants.

*Beckons her past self forward.*

*The past version of Wanda is very confused by this exchange. She’s still taking in the sight of her future self. But when the older version waves her forward, she obliges.*

I, ah. It’s good to finally meet you? Or, I don’t know if I should say meet, or see.

*She trails off.* I’m sorry, this is a whole new level of surreal.

*Future Wanda laughs, although not unkindly.* Don’t apologize. I think this is what the feeling must be like when looking in a fun house mirror.

*Her expression grows a bit more serious.* You and I have much to discuss I take it?

*She nods.* Yes, we do. I don’t know what you might have heard, or what… your brother has told you about what’s happened lately.

But your friends need you. The Avengers, and your family. They need you to come back.

*Her brows furrow, glancing to Pietro.* What has happened, brother? Why am I needed?

*rubs the bridge of his nose* There’s been a lot of not-so-good stuff going on in the past few years, sister. Norman Osborn took control of SHIELD and most everyone is underground. And yesterday - well. She knows more about that than me.

This is what happens when you live thousands of miles away, dear brother. You miss things.

*Wanda’s expression darkens.* Then we have much to discuss, you and I. *She pushes open the door behind her.* Please, come in.

*Dutifully, the past version of Wanda slips past her, to wait in the room.*

*Again, she addresses her brother.* You should stay out here, Pietro. There are things I have to tell her. Things that stay between us.

*doesn't look too happy about that, but nods*

*steps back* I'm afraid we already told her...well. A lot. On accident, mostly. But she wants to speak with you.

*A slow smile spreads across Wanda’s face.* You’re the speedster, Pietro. Do what you have to.

*grins* *picks her up easily* *takes one step and then whoosh they are up the tower* *there are a few trick spots, but nothing crumbles beneath them*

*When they are on stable ground, Pietro sets her down carefully, then swallows*

I should…let her know. That you’re here. *turns, walks towards the room that most likely holds his timeline’s version of his sister*

*speaks softly* Wanda? Sister? Are you there?

I’m here, brother. But, why are you?

*There is a soft sound, someone getting to their feet, and this version of Wanda appears in the doorway. She looks older, naturally, and thinner, as if she hasn’t eaten in a few days, or weeks. Faint dark shadows smudge the spaces under her eyes. But she is still Wanda, and she still beams at the sight of Pietro. Then, she sees the past Wanda.*

Oh. Oh, I see.

Things have changed.

But I guess that's pretty obvious now.

*moves to embrace her* I am sorry I didn't warn you. You are demanding in all incarnations, sister. I could hardly come on my own once she made up her mind.

*She nods.* No, she’s definitely here. High up, I think. I can’t be sure, though.

*yeeeah, now he's remembering specifically being called a bag of dicks about that whole thing, not saying anything about that to Wanda nope*

Well, if she's near the top, we can make this go a lot faster. *looks to Wanda* *raises an eyebrow* *he's totally saying look I can carry you like we used to do when we would run into battle that way*

*Her eyes narrow.* You’re wrong, brother. I haven’t even met him yet, in my timeline. But it will always, always be you and I. No matter the circumstances. You know where this world’s Wanda is, not Vision.

*looks a little heartened by that* *also remembers that he was a complete bag of dicks about Vision and Wanda and disowned her for awhile and...yeah.*

*coughs*

I think, perhaps, we should look in here? Unless your magic is telling you something else.

*Frowns, stepping over rubble and glass as she goes.* I do. He deserves to see her just as much as you.

*Wanda tilts her head up, looking at the ruined building.* I can’t believe she’d want to be here. So much death and destruction.

It's not about what we deserve it's - you know what? Fine. *throws up his hands* Fine. You know, I bet you could go to twenty different alternate timelines and it would all be the same - it's always going to be you and him.

*stomps forward* I don't know why she wanted to be here. You'll have to ask her that. I suggested a nice beach somewhere. She didn't exactly go for that.

*She gives Vision an apologetic look, but steps forward, half distracted.* I will let her know you are here. I promise.

Brother, I think… She’s this way. *Indicates a somewhat close skyscraper shell, partially decimated.

*Pietro heads towards the area she points to, resisting the urge to sprint ahead* *he still thinks this is a bad idea*

*and, of course, as soon as they are out of Vision's range of hearing...* I still don't think we should have brought Vision.

*Pietro’s voice is tense* Because she wanted to be here.

*the next he says to Wanda* This is…was…a mutant homeland. For a time.

*Wanda catches the tension in her brother’s voice.* I don’t understand… Who could have done this to an entire city?

*Her hands gleam with red magic, and surprise is writ across her face.*

She’s definitely here though. I can feel it.

She’s here? What… what happened? Where are we?

*after a lot of arguing - which went something along the lines of "no, you can't go meet your future self, and no you can't bring Vision with you" followed by some very pointed rebuttals - Pietro agrees to take them to this timeline's Wanda* *in a flash, they arrive, Lockjaw none too pleased to be escorting them again* *Crystal is starting to get suspicious about why Pietro has been taking the dog so much lately*

*They arrive in the ruins of a city. The shells of crumbling builds rise around them, and the streets are strewn with rubble. It looks like a grave*

*Pietro turns to Wanda* Well. This is where you wanted to go.

Earth CS2: Too many twins (and one robot)

*At first, Wanda is very surprised by this. Tears prickle at the corners of her eyes, and she returns the hug. After a second, she tugs Tommy in too.*

I will miss you both, so much.

*Tommy’s not really the hugging sort, and this is all so weird, but still* *he hugs her back, and even slings an arm around his sort-of twin too*

*Which kind of surprises Billy because he’s used to Tommy being not at all touchy-feely, but hey, almost-kind-of brother*

We’ll miss you, too. I mean, we just met you, but…yeah.

*After another second of hugging, she releases both boys.*

Right, of course.

*To Pietro.* You should take them, Brother. Keep them safe.

*watches them all hug it out with a surprisingly soft expression on his face*

I will, sister.

*then he totally snaps to attention*

All right, boys, everyone grab hold of the gigantic dog. Lockjaw? Come on, Lockjaw, just one last trip and we can go home.

*Lockjaw gives an annoyed grunt but lumbers over*

*the boys and Pietro all take hold of the dog. Billy waves goodbye as they all blink away, and then they are gone*
