Chapter 1: Nobody Likes Moving On

i totally agree that they shouldn’t touch queen b. when i was rereading queen b for the 7th time, i really had a moment where i wanted to cry and beg choices for a third book.

god that book is so nostalgic, funny, at times cruel but that’s the beauty of queen b. i really really do want a third book but choices has fell off. their content isn’t what it used to be and i don’t know if reviving old books would be a good idea because many of their authors are gone and since they are, how can another group of authors ever replicate the legacy (as you mentioned) that these old books have? heck, that’s even if we’re lucky enough to get real humans on new books, ai slop could never ever recreate queen b. the jokes, plot twist, beautiful sprites, the relationship between MC and poppy is one too unique and special for AI to ever comprehend because the authors that created queen b made it with love and likely lived experiences.

i’m just rambling at this point so i apologize in advance but yeah i really do wish we had a third book or some kind of holiday short book but that would mean the standard is set very high and choices can’t even hit the bare minimum with the ai path they’re taking. i think im grateful for the fanfic and fan content that came out of this incredible book, so many people banded together to make content and unfortunately i wasn’t there for the peak of queen b/boppy but scrolling deep into tumblr to see those organized poppy content weekends or weeks warms my heart because there’s truly people out there who have so much love and care for their passion that they share their work with others.

i got into choices back when the freshman series began or something and was heavily into the high school stories (smth like that) and AME, then i took a big fat break and came back to choices in 2022 in my freshman year of HS lol. i became obsessed with poppy immediately because for some odd reason i’ve always been into the mean girl trope (regina george…and i did watch mean girls before i played queen b) i was so sad to find out that there wouldn’t be a third book but i discovered fan content and went down a deep rabbit hole, then i got bored and then two years later summer after 10th grade i got back to queen b and finally now in my senior year ive reconnected with my roots again and im so glad to see you reviving boppy. i just hope you know that you have an incredible power and that is being able to create content for media that is “dead” clearly im not the only person who appreciates it because there’s other anons in your inbox that are so happy that you’re creating content. this kind of media brings people joy and that’s the superpower you have, you can bring people joy even if it’s not necessary face to face. thank you!

Wow complete side note but your breakdown of when you got into choices makes me feel aged anon hahaha I started writing this fic when I started my first job 💀 and got into Queen B when it aired so I was there for the peak, but never made any content due to just being shy etc. Also, in my personal opinion, my writing sucked 🧍‍♀️

You summed it up well though. The old choices is gone now, just an ai mess that sadly a lot of interactive apps are producing now (when romance club goes full ship, I’ll be jumping).

However, it is a really neat aspect of fandoms for content to stick around for years even after the source material is no longer updating. I know I’ve appreciated a lot of authors who still have work up from half a decade ago and even those who continue to make work (lets be real, fanon is usually superior to canon). Maybe you’ll even want to take a stab at creating your own material for this fandom, I’d love to read it/see it. Remember, even your self-evaluated “worst” work will always be better than whatever ai steals. Thanks for the kind words though anon, I hope to one day deliver this full fic to you and the remaining Boppy fans.

pleassssseeee don’t ever stop writing for boppy, or at least i do hope to see you finish the series. there’s a small percentage of us here and im really desperate for a third book. i know it’s long over but i feel like they should give in and make a third book, queen b was popular and sold well…

i’m just worried that they wouldn’t be able to give a good third book because most of their authors got laid off and now they’re into AI slop which would be a shame for queen b because they have so many hot sprites.

We have all seen the ai slop they’ve created with Hero (I didn’t even like the book that much but that’s just cruel to the og fans). I hope PB doesn’t touch any of the old books anymore because it would just ruin the old legacy (choices has died in my eyes). As cool as a third official book would be, if it’s just ai, they can leave it in their drafts.

It's me again ( the anon whose first language isn't English ) , I finally had the time to read the first chapter today, and let me tell you that it was the highlight of my day ( considering the fact that I just finished my engineering midterms 😌) .

I really loved the fact that poppy was thinking about bea when they were both at the same club when bea was getting beat up

( btw why is bea always getting beat up in your stories 😅 ? Don't get me wrong , I think bea is the kind to get in fights often )

Anyway I just wanted to say how much I liked the chapter and that I can't wait for more.

English isn't my first language so sorry in advance for any mistakes 😅 , I just wanted to let you know how much I loved reading your bea and poppy fics , while I'm sad to see CEO poppy and architect bea timeliness go , I can't wait to see what you do with your next idea for them . I also know how demotivating it is to write fanfics about a fandom/ship that has few readers so I appreciate you taking the time to share your talent with us

While CEO Poppy and Architect Bea are being reimagined, I hope to keep very similar elements of the original in this new version (which academic anon I swear I’m working on giving you those two chapters - I’ve been doing some rewriting and adding scenes when I was cleaning it up. It’s coming I swear!)

Also, it’s kind of refreshing writing for a small/non existent fandom lol. I would get obsessed with trying to update everything and respond to everything etc. I’ve got a great habit of creating content for a fandom (multiple fandoms mind you) that’s lost most of its fandom (horrible timing on my part cause I was here during the hype of Boppy). One day completing this story is more a personal achievement for me, I just get the pleasure of sharing it with those last remaining Boppy stans 🙂‍↕️
