don’t save as jpeg
as a former yearbook editor and designer, let me explain this further
if youre only planning on posting your art online, them please save it as .png ;this is also better for transparencies as well
BUT
please, if youre planning of printing your art, NEVER use png. it makes the quality of the image pretty shitty. use jpeg or pdf instead. and always set your work at 300dpi to get a better printing quality - this means, the images are crisper and sharper and theres no slight blurriness. i had a talk with my friend who is currently taking design, and pdf is much better to use when youre working with a bigger publishing company because it still has the layers intact, but if youre only planning on printing your stuff at staples or at some small publishing store, the jpeg is the way to go.
this has been a public service announcement
Want a good picture to save as? PNG
Want a good printed picture? JPEG
Nooo this is flase, stop spreading thia JPEG is just a old format, it does not help with printing.
JPEGs compress the pixels of your picture with causes them to lose quality and makes weird artifacts appear, it was invented in a time where picture files didn’t have that many pixels.
It’s not a suitable file formate anymore and you should print your pictures as either a PSD, PDF
Also what you really need to look at is dpi and image size when making prints. Dpi stands for dots per inch or Pixel per inch, depending on the resolution of your image you need to adjust that number to make sure the image stays crisp.
Most flyers and Magazines use a 300 dpi. Bigger images use smaller dpis. Do research online, what is best suited for your intended purposes is not as simple to tell as saving your file a specific formate.
PNG for example isn’t that great for printing because it saves in RBG color mode while a lot of printers use CMYK as their color mode, meaning you will either be asked to convert the image into a different color mode, or the printer will do it for you which will cause wird color changes.
It has nothing to do with blury edge.
Online you only have to be concious of image size since dpi doesn’t matter. The color mode of your image also is not releveant. That’s why PNG is mostly used online.
Other good formates to save would be TIFF or ESP but TIFF has pretty heavy file sizes and ESP isn’t the best for at home printing but is more heavily used in publishing.
So to sum up: Jpeg is a terrible format. Period. It’s outdated and looks like shit online and printed out.
PNG can be used for prints but it can cause complications.
PDF and PSD are generally good options for at home printing.
Please do research on dpi and what is best for your project.

Who names their character Susan
I’m poisoning an enchanted crossbow, which I gave a nickname to so I wouldn’t accidentally sell it. The name of the weapon is “delicious quinoa, Susan”.

cat reveal!!!
this calligraphy channel is amazing because their cats constantly try to interfere, like these cats are just laser focused on annihilating every project the person tries to do
you can certainly enjoy these without sound but the sound effects are killing me
art is hard 99.8% of the time but the craziest thing is that the trick to drawing the back of something is just ‘draw the front and then erase everything but the outlines’
E X C U S E M E ! ? ! ? ! ?
you might have to flip or move some things around depending on how symmetrical your subject is but yeah. voila. e magico
As a cat owner, I can confirm 50% of the time I am kissing my cats soft head and telling her how much she means me, and the other 50% I’m angrily telling her not to eat plastic
For me the other 50% is me telling her she can’t have my food (as she stands up and tries to help herself)

Why would anyone pick a human race in a fantasy game
I want a fantasy game where human isn’t even an option
Nah man, humans are the coolest
It’s one thing to fight demons if you’re from a species that lives for hundreds of years, is tied to natural magic, and births the best archers on the planet. It’s another thing entirely to do the same when your species is known to be slightly-above-average at farming.
“im regular jeff and im gonna behead tiamat and die trying”
thats the 2019 mood
One of my favorite things about Phineas and Ferb is how Perry somehow comes off as a more talkative character than Ferb, even though Ferb talks once or twice an episode and Perry talks never. Perry is so visually expressive you can almost forget that the secret agent subplot in each show pretty much consists of Dan Povenmire as Doofenshmirtz monologuing to himself; every one of those scenes reads visually as a complicated back-and-forth conversation between two very different characters with strong, stubborn personalties. At any given moment, you can tell exactly what Perry the Platypus is thinking and what he would say if he could, which not only makes him the ideal figure to react to the endless ranting of his nemesis but also gives Doofenshmirtz something solid to react to (when he says a line like “Perry the Platypus, you’re making this harder than it needs to be,” we know he has good reason to say it).
Ferb is “quieter” than Perry because of his near-total lack of expression. His occasional verbal asides are funny because they’re our only way to glimpse his thoughts, which frequently take us by surprise (it turns out he’s in the inventing game “for the ladies”; after deadpanning his way through an entire episode in which his partner in crime breaks down beside him from summer-scheme withdrawal, he declares, “If we hadn’t been able to invent something soon, I was going to scream.”)
The surefooted way that this show uses writing and visual cues to achieve comedy on multiple levels is really something else.
