Masa would certainly like to be respected. It's basically what his daydreams are all bout - to be super reliable and confident as hell! 

What makes the character laugh

Well, haha, funny things I suppose? I don't know, it's not that difficult to make him smile but making him laugh might be more difficult. Not that he's gloomy or anything (well sometimes he is but y'know), it's just kinda how he is.

How the character feels about murder

Whoo, ummm. I think he understands things are not always simple but I don't think he's 'ok' with it, of course not. He's actually capable of killing though but it does need quite a harsh situation and if he can avoid it, he'll definitely do that. In fact usually it doesn't even cross his mind at all. 

What makes the character happy

Masa likes children! And sweets. Good company as well and when things are just generally going well haha. Accomplishments of some level. He's simple when it comes to this, really.

What the character likes to eat and drink

Tea aaand some sweet drinks, he doesn't dislike alcohol but has a low tolerance and will pass out really fast. As for the food, anything that fills his stomach and probably anything that isn't too spicy haha. Also sweet stuff like dango, he's loves dango a lot.

What scares the character

Masa is REALLY afraid of crowds or heavy attention from people in general. I mean walking in a crowd is ok as long as no one’s staring at him but matches with onlookers make him nervous, tho if it’s actually life threatening situation it might be a little different buuuuuut kinda depends. He’s pretty sensitive regarding to how other’s view him.

Otherwise it’s just people near to him getting hurt etc. The kind of usual thing.

The Magic of Washing Machine || Closed @ Kiku

The laundry room was too crowded, mostly because only one washing machine was still working. Recently one of the residents in the apartment complex thought it would be a good idea to wash other stuff than clothes with it. ” Can’t you hurry up? ” one resident shouted, tapping her foot repeatedly on the ground as her dirty clothes were resting on her right arm. ” Just shut yer trap and wait ” another one replied and well that was just a mere fragment of what was going on in the apartment complex in sector 05. 

Wanting to avoid all of that, Japan had decided to go to this small building called ‘The City’s greatest Laundromats’ that he had seen when he was wandering through the streets of Hive City. 

Geta’s making a clacking sound as he made his way over to the building, stepping through a puddle before his hand reached out for the door. Blinking a couple of times as he saw a man pointing a bokutō at…a washing machine? 

And here he was left thinking he had seen everything. 

The first thing he noticed besides the bokutō was the man’s attire along with footwear he hasn’t seen for so long. It had a nostalgic feeling to it, but it also brought some pain with it. Nowadays only Buddhist monks would wear them and perhaps that was for the best as he had gotten too accustomed to the western culture anyways. ” Ano…sir? ” hoping that, that would gain Masa’s attention. ” Please lower your sword, it’s just a washing machine ” 

Judging from his reaction he could easily conclude that this man did not belong in this timeline and as the representative of the country they both hail from, he felt like it was his duty to explain or at least help him. ” This thing ” ticking with the back of his pointing finger on one of the washing machines as he paused, ” was created to make washing clothes easier and faster compared to how we used to do it ”

The panic had taken quite strong hold of Masa he didn’t hear the door. The words had more effect ; the ronin took blundering step bumping himself to the other in the process. From there his head swung to the direction of the source of the voice. He blinked and continued shifting his look between the unidentified voice.

".....washing machine?"

He blinked now staring at the other with wide eyed as the man gave him an explanation. Upon turning back to the direction of the sound he finally realized that it was there was no monster there. Only a worn out looking green machine, incapable hurting a soul.

"A-ah.... I... I see, so it was that...."

He had thought he was finally doing better with all these gadgets but it seemed that he had been mistaken. With a heavy sigh he returned the bokutô back to his belt. 

"....I apologize that you had to witness such an embarrassing scene", he mumbled biting his lip eyes sweeping ground. As he raised again his eyebrows also moved in concern. Of course bumping was no grave offense. It didn't seem like he had hurt the other badly either but it was no excuse not to address the matter.

 "I think I pushed you.. I apologize of that as well."

Now that he looked closer at this stranger he noticed the clothing bearing resemblance to his own... No, not merely that. It was definitely outfit familiar outfit up and down. He was from Japan as well? Perhaps even from the same time... He could only hope that it was right. Having someone from the same place was always rather comforting.

"You... might you be hailing from Japan...?" he inquired his eyes widening in wonder.

Perhaps it was because thats what the games were to Castor: something to be taken so lightly, as if you didn’t derez the losers of such sports. Thats what they were taught to believe.

"If you’re the victor, then its not for your death now is it? Don’t worry, old sport. Many of the people make it out alive." 

"That is, unless they face the Champion. But there are only a select few that do so. So fret not! Oh dear. I’ve made you worry, haven’t I? Please don’t. We’re an awful lot different you and I. For starters, you’re a user. Death is more permanent to you." 

That was a lie, but seeing the man so upset and …stressed? It was hard to tell with a permanent fish face that he had. But seeing him visibly sweating and upset was bothering Castor, so it was time to remedy it.

Many samurai were not benevolent at all - Masa knew as much but he regardless but what the other described sounded nothing but cruel to his ears. 

He now blinked and tilted his head slightly, still slightly cowering. What was a 'user'? The context didn't really give him clues.... The question parted his mouth without him even realizing it himself.

"..user? A-and what do you mean by that...?" 

Ah, hopefully it was nothing unpleasant.

Watering Hole [CA Open]

Ginko felt he’d finally gotten settled in Hive City. It had taken far longer than he would’ve liked, but he was somewhere approaching comfortable now. He found his home, though he never spent much time in it, a had a backpack full of herbs and other useful plants, and a good sense of where things were. Sure, he missed the long dirt roads and open plains of Japan, but things could’ve been a lot worse. He’d just adapt and keep on living, same as he always did. There were mushi floating around the city, and if there were mushi, people would undoubtedly have need of a mushi master. It was only a matter of time, and the longer he stayed in the city, the more would be drawn to him. Nothing would change.

Except for the setting, of course. It had taken Ginko a bit of time to get used to the technology, like cars, televisions, radios, street lights, vending machines, automatic doors, escalators, elevators… Maybe he still wasn’t used to it all. It all seemed so complex to him, and without great reason. Maybe people in modern times were just lazy.

There was one, little thing that was bothering him, though. Normally, Ginko just would’ve wandered until a solution presented itself, but he hadn’t had much luck on that front.  Might as well ask some of the locals, he decided.

The next person who walked by would feel a tap on their shoulder. Ginko gave them an easy smile, stubby cigarette still held in the corner of his mouth. “Sorry to bother you, but I have a request. Do you know if there’s a good place to get a drink around here? Normally I wouldn’t bother, but I feel like I deserve it after the past few weeks.”

He pulled the cigarette from his mouth, holding it at his side as he turned his head to exhale a cloud of smoke. “First round’s on me, if you like.”

Masa didn't really drink. At least not often and rarely ever more than one or two cups. The last time he had drank more he had awaken from the floor of Ume's izakaya's floor with nothing but headache remaining from the last night. Therefore he kept himself content with teas and sweeter drinks they had in the City. For it was something he rather enjoyed the thought of visiting a bar never truly crossed his mind until a stranger came to him with with a request.

With a small twitch Masa turned his head casting a careful look towards them. Eyes widened if only a bit - a white hair, even lighter shade than Yaichi had... By now it was no oddity for Masa however so few blinks after Masa turned fully around.

"A-ah, it is no trouble", he muttered then slightly scratching the back of his head. Despite not having visited he had indeed spotted some places, one of them was even rather close if he wasn't wrong... But would he dare to recommend a place he hadn't visited? As usual the thoughts soon slipped into words.

"While I have not paid a visit I know there is one near, I think", Masa mumbled, "but I am not familiar of the nature of the place... It seemed small, I can say as much..."

His glance sank a little. It was a little embarrassing really but he didn't want to be rude and decline such a kind request and certainly wouldn't want to leave the man to their own devices. The city could be quite a labyrinth.....

"Hmm, well, I suppose it will be fineI think that will be the last round for me but regardless...", he muttered before turning to the other again, "it does not sound bad. I would be glad to accompany you...."
