Five Nights at Freddy’s – Part 2 (Concept / Script Idea)
This part follows Jeremy throughout the entire film.
The movie opens with a desperate man working on a large puppet-like creation. This is Henry Emily, creating the Puppet. He is constantly whispering that she won’t get her. Not his little daughter.
One evening, his invention is locked away inside a box. His daughter is lured outside by a mysterious figure. It is clearly shown that the invention inside the box tries to break free, but heavy objects have been placed on top of it. The last thing heard is the painful scream of a child. The intro begins, accompanied by the Puppet Theme.
As the film progresses, Jeremy is hired by Afton to work as a night guard. His introduction to the job is handled through recorded phone messages from the Phone Guy from Part 1.
Every single animatronic has an important role in the film. All animatronics from the second game are present. The Puppet plays the central role. Toward the end of the film, the original animatronics from Part 1 awaken and begin destroying the newer models.
Over the course of the story, it is revealed that children’s souls are trapped inside the suits — the souls of murdered children. At first, the Puppet appears manipulative and unsettling. By the end, however, it becomes clear that the Puppet only wanted what was best for the souls.
Near the climax, Jeremy is visited by a very strange animatronic (Golden Bonnie). It is William Afton, who has discovered that Jeremy has been trying to uncover the truth about the past. Afton begins to hunt Jeremy.
When Jeremy is trapped, Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy appear behind him. Freddy starts walking toward Jeremy, then turns to face Afton and walks past Jeremy toward him. The other three follow. Afton becomes the hunted one.
The Puppet briefly explains everything to Jeremy and tells him to leave the location immediately.
Afton manages to completely destroy all the animatronics that were chasing him. What he does not realize is that by doing so, he has freed their souls. The Puppet confronts Afton. The Puppet and the four souls corner him. A single drop of water falls from the ceiling into the suit, loosening the springlocks in a brutally violent scene.
Afton’s final words are: “You think it’s over? You think you’re free? Oh no… I always come back.”
After these events, it is revealed that Jeremy never escaped. Mangle bites into his head, killing him. Mangle believed that Jeremy was responsible for destroying the newer animatronics.
The final scene before the credits shows a young man, Michael Afton. The scene takes place 15 years after the events of FNAF 2. Only a poster is shown, advertising the opening of a horror attraction based on the animatronic tragedies.
The credits roll. In the upper row, the original animatronics from Part 1 are shown. Beneath them are their souls — only rough silhouettes, with their eyes glowing in sync with the music. The song playing is “The Puppet Song (Duet)”.
