Used Dalinar’s “Sometimes a hypocrite is nothing more than a man in the process of changing” quote in my AP Lang test today, if I get a 5 its thanks to Brandon Sanderson
hi! i really love your art of dalinar and navani and i wanted to ask if you would be okay with me using it in a fan edit i’m making about dalinar, navani, and evi.
i would fully credit you in the caption and tag you if you’d like. i won’t claim the art as mine or use it for anything commercial. it would just be for a fandom edit.
of course, no pressure at all, and i completely understand if you’re not comfortable with it. thank you either way!
Yes yes i’m super OK with this as long as you credit me! And tag me/send it to me if you can, i’d love to see it :-) ❤️

to anyone in the patreon, is Book of Lorn worth the couple of dollars a month? I wasn’t planning on paying to read since im not a big fan of the whole make-a-reoccurring-payment thing, but what i’ve heard is really intriguing me so far 🤔 especially the half prose half comic format
Victra, Lyria, and Volga portraits!
sometimes i think about these three and I go damn I need to reread dark age soon

What can I say, they are the OTP of The Way of Kings.
As you can see this one too went through several iterations. The first version of them I painted last year ago while visiting Alaska with my friend and co-conspirator. But it felt too stiff and didn’t fit very well with the first WoK cover we made for this series. So after some months I sat down again and now I am really happy with it ☺️
I hope you like it, too.

I really love this composition. My pose reference was the Ludovisi Ares which feels very appropriate for Darrow.
related but not related, recently I was thinking about how I turn 17 kind of soon and my first thought was how Darrow is 16 and turns 17 in the institute. And now i’m 16 turning 17. Just crazy because I remember reading these books for the first time and feeling like he was so old. He was 16!! He should’ve been at the club!!

I wanted to do a nice illustration of the dance sequence from Wind and Truth but every time I tried something, I didn't like it. Then I picked up Calvin and Hobbes and an idea struck me.
The weirdest part of drawing this was making Kaladin smile 😂
I pulled out the paints and inks for this! I wanted to capture the essence of Calvin and Hobbes as much as possible. I still need a lot of practice with traditional watercolors and gouaches. And the style was hard to emulate; Bill Watterson is truly a modern master.
