One of my favorite things to write in my stories, something I try to include whenever I can, is a very simple phrase:
“I’m proud of you.”
It’s something I never heard very often growing up, so I know how much those words can mean. Everyone deserves to hear them, especially the little ones who are trying so hard every day, even when no one else sees it.
Whether it’s getting through a difficult day, taking care of yourself, being kind, or simply moving forward, know that your efforts do matter. They aren’t invisible, and you don’t have to be perfect to deserve encouragement and praise.
So, whether you’re little or big, kiddo or caregiver, if you’re reading this, please remember:
I’m glad you’re here. And I’m so very proud of you, for being you and everything you do. Keep going, even on the days you don’t feel like you’re enough. And know that whenever you need to hear it, these words will always be here waiting for you. ♡

Honestly something that brings me alot of joy is going on the agere tag and commenting as many nice and positive things as possible under peoples post. I genuinely feel like a little fairy sprinkling my fairy dust everywhere I go 🧚♀️✨
I feel so grateful to know age regressors and pet regressors look out for one another.
Like genuinely caring for each others health and wellbeing, pet regressors making sure you have a bed to lay, age regressors helping one another keep utilities on/snacks stocked for one another, drawing or writing agere or petre media for each other to help when each other regression is hard AND SO MUCH MORE!
We aren’t just big kids. We’re big kids who can help other big kids because we care. And even if people judge us for living carefree, we don’t have to judge one another. And I’m all smiley about the fact that we don’t. We just be lil sprouts living our best lives. I love that for us. :))

All of them regress due to the stress of being a secret mermaid, general teenage life, and their own personal issues.
Cleo regresses to about 5-ish (I may change this so it isn't certain yet, but around that age!)
She really likes plushies, any kiddo book about fish (fiction or non-fiction!) and dress up with the sparkliest accessories she can find!
She doesn't tell her family, because she's not ready to, even if they probably would be accepting.
She likes playing with her friends but is a pretty independent regressor overall!
Emma also regresses to around 5 (though occasionally she regresses to the world's tiniest little baby mermaid!) and is quite clingy. She doesn't like regressing on her own and always needs to be near a friend or she'll be sad, however she can take care of herself just fine (when not a baby.)
She likes glow in the dark stars (and glow in the dark anything, really!) and anything that has to do with swimming.
She did tell her family, since keeping secrets makes her uncomfortable and she knew her family would be accepting. They even let her set up a playroom upstairs for her and her friends!!
Rikki regresses to about 8, but acts younger then her age so she's about even with her friends. Her family is unsupportive, unfortunately. At least she has such wonderful friends, though!
She enjoys playing with her friends, but they sometimes get into arguments or have misunderstandings (it's very uncommon, Rikki just doesn't like it so she avoids it) so most of the time she prefers to be by herself or- her favorite option- with her caregiver Lewis!!
(this is not a romantic ship- I don't personally ship any characters in this au)
Lewis doesn't regress, but he's chill with his friends doing it and enjoys helping them and playing with them!
He babysits Cleo and Emma occasionally, but he's only a caregiver for Rikki. His parents don't know about his friends' regression, but also let him do whatever (this is my interpretation of them, which could be wrong because of my lack of info) so he's able to buy them toys and items!
Since he has known Cleo the longest he's quite good at picking things she would like, so he gets her gifts (such as toys, pacis, blankets, etc) occasionally!
And of course, he gets Rikki all of her toys and items (the others try to give her things occasionally but she only accepts it from Lewis because she gets embarrassed around new agere items and has to warm up to it, which is easier with Lewis ^^ )
He really enjoys being a caregiver! He's pretty good at it (though still learning! he's trying his absolute best :> ) and he loves being in on a secret hehe
