Because why plan when you can just munch all the magic away? And also for science!

Trahearne's off somewhere doing something else, and whenever he does, he has someone watching Alex to make sure he doesn't eat weird stuff out of curiosity. No, he does not care you have a Branded enhanced body, Alex, that is not the point.

I've been working on some gifts recently so I haven't been getting round to working on the silly Trahmmander ideas I wanted to do...

GW2 has not been kind to me with spiking ping so I hop temporarily to my cozy farming game -cries in SEA ping-

This would remain a sketch I said, as I muse the various age/story points for Alex

Alex changes through the years musing under cut

Child Prodigy: Alex existed in a time period far, far into the past when Kralkatorrik found him and chose him to be a beacon. He knew of magic but didn't know what it was until Kralkatorrik taught him how to communicate with magic. Thanks to the elder's influence, Alex grew to love magic and eventually left his isolated village with his family, to which Kralkatorrik then sent his Branded to capture.

Aetherian Branded: Aetherians - or Kralkatorrik's Branded as they used to be called. A group of bright sparks Kralk gathered into one group before they escaped. Finding no solace on land, they fled to the skies instead. Having been branded, Alex's skin took on a more purple tint and he, like the rest had branded crystals all over his body, some which were easier to hide or retract. He's more bitter and grumpy during this period too.

Commander / 'Champion': Main story up to dragonfall version of Alex. He looks normal due to using illusionary magic to cover up, along with a bunch of seals to hold back the immense magic he has. Some seals also function as a cover up magic in case someone tried to peek past the illusion. Fun fact: I originally wanted his color scheme to be pink.

The 'Champion' is in quotes cause he can't technically be Aurene's champion - since Kralkatorrik already originally made him his champion without him knowing. Aurene eventually catches on during the events of Istan, and she was the next person after Trahearne to learn of his origins.

Pseudo Elder - His Brightest Spark: Dragonfall to technically current version. After Kralkatorrik's death, Alex also ascended with Aurene to a Pseudo-Elder status. Though since he isn't exactly a dragon he can't call himself that, nor does he want too. The crystals grow more prominent if he reveals them, and now he has wings, which he makes look like something else if he needs to.

Beloved by Magic: Technically VoE onwards. This version is a version of Alex that finally accepts all of him- The Branded, and his immense gift for magic. For the past few versions he had not been answering magic's call, feeling inadequate. It's only after a talking with a reincarnated-into-human version of Kralkatorrik, taking the form of his old mentor is he able to accept his gift. The crystals on his body merge into more managable chunks, and change to a more teal color that's in line with leyline magic.

Still these clothes make him feel naked so he normally switches back to the Pseudo Elder clothes. It's also less pain in the ass for me to draw
