Live your life to the fullest
Life is precious, life is a gift

Wheel Of Fortune
During this very difficult time, immunosuppressed patients are being forgotten about. Calling UCSF emergency and waiting 10 days for antibiotics to be filled, my infection is spreading. Im left alone to medicate and take care of my health with little to no medical advice or treatment. Everyone is concerned about COVID19 patients, some of which are not taking this pandemic seriously at all. I lay here confused wondering how people who decided to participate in the "Corona Challenge" licking toilets, are those to get treatment. Those who walk freely among the city against stay at home orders are the ones who receive hospital treatment. The rest of us seem to be on our own, especially us who are immunosuppressed.
The scariest reality is being told by UCSF emergency room worker that it would not be a guarantee that I would be fully isolated if hospitalized for my chronic condition separate from COVID19 patients. I would have no idea how my treatment would go until I arrived at the hospital.
The best and worst solution is for me to remain at home gambling with my health, and my life to.
Were all in this together. We can do this. We can survive
Being a transplant patient is a gift but can also be a curse. Too many healthy people are buying valuable items off the shelf that people most at risk need. The disabled and the immunosuppressed need to be remembered and protected.
People take advantage of disabled people so easily and they get away with it too. Its the most disgusting thing ever on Earth. These types of people have zero remorse due to being incapable of having the remorse in the 1st place. People who are healthy cannot hold or feel this type of remorse because of how healthy they are; they can never imagine a life filled with chronic illness. Does that make it their fault? Yes, because it is their choice that they dont educate themselves and are choosing to be ignorant instead of educated. They are choosing not to read too much into what the disabled persons reality really is for them. And how difficult it is to live. It is their fault if they knowingly act maliciously and unlawfully to the disabled person. If they take advantage of the disabled knowing that they are disabled it is their fault.
Please stop the judgement. Posting to raise awareness and correct those who arent educated and have never heard of this. Pancreatic insufficiency (EPI) is caused by several things but mine is due to multiple stomach surgeries and diabetes. Pancreas has two working sides. Exocrine and Endocrine. One side produces enzymes to digest food and the other side produces insulin regulating blood sugar. Both sides of my pancreas is failing. This is what it looks like. Unrelated to alcohol and drugs. Unrelated to anorexia, bulimia. Unrelated to smoking. Its from being cut open during multiple major surgeries. In many cases shortened intestines and stomach surgery can lead to malnutrition, malabsorption, nerve damage as well as higher blood sugars leading to diabetes.
So please when anyone sees someone, don't be quick to assume what theyre doing and reframe from judgement, name calling, and assuming 💕

About Me
I was given a liver transplant in 1991 due to a rare disease Biliary Atresia. I’m giving back one tube of blood at a time during my adventurous journey. Currently since 2018, I am part of a study at UCSF to eliminate anti-rejection medications for future transplant patients within the next 10 to 15yrs. I love art and photography and will be sharing many macro shots Ive taken along with long distance photos
I make effort to look at my own blood to help others.
