My first full Giro watching experience. A lot of emotions, I think almost all of them.

A truly special thing.

To witness Vismas greatness and teamwork is a privilege.

The work everyone put in these past few weeks is impressive. We had wins, that were anticipated, we had wins that surprised us and we had wins that were just right.

Paul Magnier was a pleasure to behold such a strong young rider, he really showed power and timing.

Giulio Ciccone was such a fighter, like he always is, but this time it felt even more special. To see him win the King of the mountains competition was everything.

Alfonso Eulálio was one of my highlights this giro, and I expect him to go really far. He grew so much over the whole race.

Jonas Vingegaard, what can I say that I haven't before. He makes me believe in life, friendships, love, endurance and resilience. I feel myself being emotional over a guy I saw in person twice, but I can't help it. And maybe that's okay.

Maybe sometimes the motivation to continue trying is a 29 year old danish cyclist and his friends who are also his family and teammates.

Peace. Calm. Finally getting to breathe without feeling like something is stuck in my throat.

I've watched this man disrupt the status quo since 2021, giving generational talent Tadej Pogacar something to chase, to beat. I've watched this man crash, nearly making me quit cycling altogether, and I've watched this man get up, again and again.

Jonas Vingegaard, you have been such an inspiration to me. But you've only been my hero since last year. And like I said in one of the final notes in the fic I dedicated to you:

At the second stage of the La Vuelta 2025 when you slipped off of the pavement a few kilometres before the finish line and I turned off the stream because I didn't want to feel the aching claw of disappointment, only for the tour's app to notify me that you took the stage by the skin of your teeth. I was going through something at that time, and the way you fought, bleeding by your elbows and cycling through the rain, reminded me that I didn't have to be afraid of pain. That it's not over until it is.

You'll never know what you've done for me, but thank you, Jonas. There is newfound strength in me, and I wake up each day, trying.

You've done it again. It's not over, but fuck, I'm still so fucking proud of you. See you in Rome in the Maglia Rosa

I know I am boring but everyone did so beautifully on such a demanding stage. The breakaway was really strong and fought so hard.

I am thankful for this sport even though it destroys me regularly.

Sometimes I want to strangle commentators. I understand, that it's their job to remark on the form of the riders. But sometimes it feels unnecessary and cruel.

I was so happy to watch ITT today, because it was clear to me that Pippo would absolutely kill. But the comments on Jonas' form and some of the other riders was just so unexpected and in my opinion feel kind of mean spirited.

But what I saw today was people fighting and doing well, and as far as I saw there were no falls so I am really content.

Thymen and Pippo were so strong today.

Eulalio holding on to that 27 sec was really cool I am invested in how long he will be able to hold his position.

Ben O'Connor was quite the surprise for me today, I did not have him on my list to look out for, but I am overjoyed to see him succeed.
